PT teams get to ride 20 Race Days in 1 HC race band this year.
Details of each band are here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....rowstart=0
This is how many spaces are remaining in each band:
Band 1: 0
Band 2: 8
Band 3: 2
Band 4: 1
Band 5: 0
Band 6: 13
Teams should order all bands from 1 to 6, just as the PCT and CT teams have recently done. Top choices will be allocated first. If more teams put a Band as their top choice than there is space for them, then priority will be awarded in a reverse rankings order from last season. This means that the newly promoted teams will receive first choice (starting with Grieg - Eftel) and last year's Top PT teams will receive last choice (ending with Festina). For those teams who do not get their top choice, the process repeats with 2nd choices - and so on.
PM your choices to me
There will be a limit on which PT riders can take part. It was compared what pre-renewals PCT riders did look like and how to implement PT riders in there, that are neither too strong nor too weak. Listed below is the maximum stat that a PT rider can have and take part.
See that there are couple changes as last year as also an additional rule!
OVL 76
MO 78
HL 78
TT 77
CB 76
SP 79
Additionally to those stat limits, any rider who reaches the maximum stat in any of those 5 main stats, is then not allowed to have any of the other 4 main stats above 74!
e.g.
Rider A: 78mo 75hi -> No HC eligible
Rider B: 75mo 77TT -> No HC eligible
Rider C: 79sp 75hi -> No HC eligible
Rider D: 78mo, 74hi, 74TT -> HC eligible if OVL below 76
...

So lets be honest.
We basically have to choose one of two options from former six to have a chance to ride races against much stronger oposition due to restrictions in stats and those bands are pretty specific (mainly flat, some hills and cobbles).
Only thing that makes me not to say "complete waste of time for PT teams and their managers" is slim chance of us getting into Tour of Ukraine in band2. Please let us some place there.

So instead of PT vs PCT teams as this was supposed to be, HC races now are basically gonna be PT vs PT. That's kinda hilarious

Yeah definitely not ideal and might need to be worked on next season to make it more balanced again. Last year it worked well, this year not which a lot can be explained by the promoted and relegated team`s focusses. |

Getting to ride against other PT teams must be the easiest, but I really don't get why there isn't a limit to PCT/CT teams in a HC band, to make it possible for PT teams to take part everywhere.
Not because that makes the races better or anything, but it does - Like Avin says, make it less "waste of time", to be able to chose from 6 bands.

Well in percect scenario the PCT teams would balance themselves out over all bands.
But HC is still PCT first and if like this year 4 bands prove to be very popular, it`s their choice then.
CT have C2HC
PCT have HC
PT have all their calendar
Those are their special races with highest priority. |

Because HC races are for the PCT teams, not the PT teams. PT teams only get to ride in order to fill out the fields, and to gain XP for their riders. |

Well it should be possible to change I think. I'm not saying that PT teams should have priority, but it must also be quite a lot harder for a PCT team to promote from the filled HC bands, than those having to ride 12 PT teams full of domestiques and talents.

Yeah, Roturn and Sotd pushed some sense into me (not easy, i know) and it really is easier to ride against PT teams in lesser competition, but it somewhat does not make sense as others point out.
What is odd for me, is fact that i am restricted to subpar riders to not steal many points from PCT teams, but those are not restricted in any way when the steal the points in PT races. (apart from wildcard cost, which is not insane amount compared to transfer and training fees and money in game).

I agree... But now I got curious to see what you have. And you have a pretty nice HC team

Nicolae Tanovitchii
Vojtech Hacecký
Well done in building quality for that part aswell mate. You should be faring quite strongly again this season - although Pluchkin will only come 2nd in the Tour

Ok I promise I won't send my 82 MTN guy to TdF.

I know, but i dont want my super domestiques/secondary leaders to waste their race days for a chance to grab some minor points in HC races, when their job is to support our absolute leaders in most important PT races.
So only some of these will get major HC race days, i will rather use my worst riders for that.
And about Tour, you have some insider info in Metinvest? So far we are not even sure if Pluchkin will defend his Tour title.

He will not. We know that. Whether he wants to or not, however is a question - But he certainly will not succeed *Spilak said*.

Obviously with 2 quite empty bands a lot more PT managers will get their first choice if they went for those, which most also did in fact.
Actually 20/22 managers got their first choice!
First Choices
Band 2
Basically this band has it all but mountains. Cobbles, Hills and Sprint Stages.
6 PT teams picked it with their first choice: RBC Pro Cycling, Evonik - ELKO, Orange - KLM Cycling, Jayco'z Cycling Project, Metinvest - Dacia and Festina - Canal+.
This means home stage races for Orange and Festina in France and Metinvest in Ukraine!
Also Jayco`z gets their home trip to Down Under.
Band 3
2 teams for the mixed Band 3 with all terrains being covered. Pokerstars.com and Tinkoff Sport Academy are the two teams tackling some of the toughest mountain stages in the cycling season. Tinkoff as well making a short trip in their partly home race.
Band 4
Only one open spot here and it`s no surprise seeing Kenya Airways - Dimension Data taking their privilege of an early pick going to their home classic.
Band 6
Clearly the best chances to get your first choice here. 13 open spots and 12 of them are filled with first choices.
Cobbler teams like Bpost - Vlaanderen will ride in one of the most prestigous Belgium cobbled classic. Another big trip to their home race will be made by Becherovka - Petrof.
The others are: Grieg-Eftel, Team Puma - SAP, Gazelle, Aegon - Lavazza, Movistar - US Postal, eBuddy, Red Bull - Huawei, Aker - MOT, Vesuvio - Accumalux.
Second Choices
Band 2
Only one successful second choice. Bouygues Telecom might not race their favourite band but at least is riding in the longest French HC stage race.
Third Choices
Band 6
Unlucky for Pendleton`s that their first two choices were already filled. This way they will at least make the crowd in the Manx International happy.
-----
Bands 1 and 5 are filled with PCT only.
Bands 3 and 4 will be filled with 2 and 1 PT teams.
Bands 2 and 6 will have one open spot each in the end and include most PT teams. |

Great to see some teams getting into a home race, particularly for Roman having helped to design that route.
Also quite pleased to get into Band 6, as I have some interesting possibilities there. Frank Schleck in PCT will be fun, one last chance to lead a race for my team. Will need a bit of luck still to do well there though.

My team is full with good HC eligible riders. Hence I was happy when one of the most suited HC band was that easy to get into. Should be a fun trip in those races. |

I don't even have a single shot of doing anything in E3, but it would be weird for us not to be there, so I'm obviously happy with that.
