Ideas for Future versions:
Now this is a mix of a new game that cyanide could make and what they could do.
How about making a game where you are yourself as a rider?.
Now this is a part from NFL Madden Superstar, Where you have to create yourself, then pick your choice of type you want to be, now in this case it would be a sprinter, climber or any type you want to be.
That being said, if you pick to be a sprinter type, you will ofcause get better faster by training sprint in your training then if you pick TT.
Well it says itself ofcause.
Now also before you can get a contract to a pro team you have to have a test, now here i have 2 ideers for this.
1: my favorit but also the most difficult to make, since they way this should make your riders stats.
Okay, You would start as a amature and drive amature races for 3 month time, after that it will combine your stats for what you have done as the type of rider you picked to be.
2: the one who seems easy to make
Now this should be where you have to do everything, sprint climbing and so on, now if you picked to be a sprinter you have to really performe 100% in the sprint test then it would be easyer for you to become a great sprinter, now if you also does it great in climbing test you might be avarge in climbing, but harder to become better because you picked to be a sprinter as your type.
After one of these things you will get a contract, maybe from a crap team or maybe from team csc.
As after that you will get the roles as any new riders gets, depending on there skills.
Now when all this is done, you should talk to the owner/manager to find out what kind of races you should drive the first season and what goals there should be for you. this should happen every season.
Now races should be like, the Manager will before every stage give you an order that you should try to follow, now if you win a stage ofcasue you manager would not say stupid done, if he told you before the stage that you should just help your captain or other things.
So this is what i think would be nice for a future version.
Moving on
Dunno if you guys have try Tour De France from Konami, a great game when you just want to be a rider.
And imo that game still has better GFX then we have seen cyanides PCM. just so people knows that
So ofcause no one wants to drive every km in every stage, so it should be possible to sim to parts of the stage your are driving, and join the stage when you want to.
Hope you people se my ideas for new stuff to a new cycling game.
From Cyanide and Konami's games:
Now Cyanide has almost everything, they got the biggest parts 3D stages, and thats more then the few stages in Konami's.
Konami 3D part is however way better then Cyanide, you never saw anyone drive thoug each other like in PCM and thats the thing Cyanide needs to work on.
Now i haven't played any of the games for a long time simply because PCM sucks BIG time and Konami's is just old.
But in the end a mix of these 2 games would be really nice cause they both have the one part that the other one is missing.
But just talking about Cyanide and what they need, i just think that there is alot so im only gonna write some.
1: they call it a manager game still i only se it as you control the riders in the races, we need media in the game, riders saying if they hate another rider, more transfers in the off season, im talking FM stuff, since they call it a manager game import more manager parts in the damn game.
2: 3D training, it is more fun to se that you riders gets better then just get him back after 4 days.
3: new feature, make your own team from the start, this would be great and make the game alot more fun.
4: Better texture for the riders and bikes, it looks like they are made of papir, a bike who is totaly flat WTF?
Now hope you guys have something to say to all of this |

The only thing PCM should have in common with Konami's game is that it is a cycling game. Konami's attempts were simply horrible.
PCM sucks BIG time
No it doesnt, it has some bugs sure, but that statement is completely untrue.

I was going to take you serious until you gave Konami's game some positive attention which it by no means deserve.
Other than that, until Cyanide gets back on stable grounds (that is, once Blood Bowl takes off and PCM09 is playable), maybe one could start to consider it.
For a poor substitution: Create yourself in the DB of choice, hire yourself, manage yourself. Change teams to wherever you sell yourself off to.
Also: PCM does not suck. Your opinions suck.
Now excuse me as i go enjoy some PC Ciclismo.

Thats because there were only 30 riders and no peloton. And an overabundance of Millar winning TdF.

Konami down and out sucks. I have never, ever, ever, played a game with so many bugs. I crashed in the same races at the same places time and time again. If you used certain bikes for certain races (eg, the mountain frame for mountain stages) you couldn't turn, etc. many many faults, and in no way even close to PCM.
The 3D was quite literally dated and rubbish. I'm not saying PCM's graphics are great, but they are better then that. Plus you'd repetitively see riders sprinting into the back wheels of other riders and crashing. Rubbish.

Why i wrote PCM sucks BIG time.
Its just because its has so many bugs, and no new stuff.
It really feels like im playing FM again, buy a game for a update no i don't think so.
To the Konami part, yes it did suck but the thought they had with the game was good.
Im not saying that it owned PCM, it was just more a game for me then PCM is a the moment.
And that doesent have anything to do with what i wrote?
i dont wanna control all riders or all the training for them, so i cant really use that that.
Also i know that there was only 30 riders in Konami's game, and in PCM you have 160 or more.
Also i wanted 160 180 riders ofcause in the Konami version cause yes it is boring only 30 riders, i wanted to ride in the peleton to as you do in PCM.
But it was just some ideers for a future version, ofcause they are not though 100% thro |

Cyanide will never create the "superstar mode". Ever.
And quite frankly, that was the biggest load of rubbish I've read in a long time. It actually made me laugh

In PCM, there's about 2000 riders. In Tour de France, there was less than 30 real riders, and less than 10 real teams. That says it all. |

I thinks its a good idea in a separate game. There is a lot of features in PCM so I don't think you want to add this huge feature which will effect the quality of the other game modes. I don't think PCM sucks.

An aussie did a series of videos with him playing. The only thing that redeemed the game was his inability to say Verbrugghe and him saying "Beloki outta nowhere!" everytime he met him.

What in the name of heavenly moses are those random lines that are shooting out of riders every time he gets to a group?

It's the most horrifying thing I've ever seen. (That random early 90s game that you couldn't get past the first level due to a bug which was voted worst game ever included)

We've been Rickrolled
Curiously I was just mentioning this afternoon to CrueTrue that I didn't think anyone had ever been rickrolled in the history of this forum...
