Idea: "Real World Championship"
Explaination of idea: Numbers of riders allowed per nation should be based on the nation ranking in this year.
Why (No one word or some word posts): Because this is the way it works "in real cycing". Wink
Especially with the Pro-Cyclist-Mode this should be considered, so you could get World Championship with a rider from Japan or Mongolia or wherever you live.

Idea: Expanded Be a Pro, with an ability to play as existing riders.
Explaination of idea: The new game mode is a fantastic addition, and it's certainly added a lot to the game, but I think it could be more than simply starting as a youth rider.
Why: Many people will want to play as one of their idols, it would mean them getting to ride big races sooner, etc, which may well be something people want to do. Players may want to play a quick season as Froome or Contador to see how much they can win in just one season, etc.

Idea: adding a "placement" characteristic.
Explanation of idea: this characteristic would help or hinder when trying to move forward in the peloton in case of strong wind, bordures, mass sprint, narrow roads etc..
Why: because the ability to make your way through the peloton is an essential skil for a rider. Cycling is not just about being the strongest, it's also about being smart (and not being scared to push past people).

Idea: Leader options/commands in "Be a Pro" (For assigned captains or sprinters only)

Explaination of idea: Basic options to coordinate the team, like "get water now", "chase the breakaway","protect me"

Why: Riding as a Leader without any options is boring. True leaders organize their team during a race, so should we. I wonder why the guys get water at te beginning of a steep climb, or why the assigned sprinter is covering me, or why I don't get protected. An assigned captain should be able to give basic commands to his team. This should go as well for sprinters.

Idea: Rider personalities and signatures

Explaination of idea: some riders are expressive, some are calm. Some riders are sitting in the saddle, some are dancing on the bike. Some riders are always at the front of the peloton, some are always at the back. Example in mountains: Froomes signature is sitting in the saddle and looking at the cycling computer. Contador signature is dancing towards the top.

Why: the peloton needs a "life" and personalities. To improve the joy of the game and make it funnier to race the AI.

Idea: Make lapped riders invisible/less visible

Explaination of idea: During a circiut race it would be nice to see only riders which are close in time to the current selection rather than all that are close in space. The actual implementation might be slightly tricky as one would like to be able to move the selected rider to these lapped riders but I am sure there are easy ways to deal with that (if nothing else than just using pagedown/arrowdown to navigate back).

Why: In reality this would be dealt with in one way or another that is not possible in PCM, but you certainly wouldn't have lapped riders together with the rest on the track together. But most of all it affects the race itself from time to time like recently when I played the 2015 WCH. During last lap I missed the decisive move, as there so many riders around (the actual leading group had 11 cyclists) that I didn't notice when Degenkolb attacked, only when it was too late. I have a feeling there were also riders 2 laps back there, so it was really hard to keep track of what is happening in the group.

Currently, while stategies are thankfully kept between stages, there seem to be some kind of weird behaviour where, if I change someone's role, nothing in his strategy changes.
Sorry if the wording isn't clear, I'll give an example:
let's say that I switch a normal teammate into a leader in the strategy before the stage. Normally, I would expect that "ride for the jersey leader" gets automatically ticked. Instead, it doesn't, and I have to check it manually, which has lead to a couple of mistakes on my part a few times, where I didn't catch a few things that I should've changed for some roles. It's also time-consuming to "fix" roles every time.

Also, I'm not even sure if this problem was the same in PCM14 or not.

I think this was the first thing that came to many's mind. Hope they'll implement it. I would also suggest a command to tell your team mate to stop protecting you, for example when going for the intermediate sprint or mountain points.

Idea: Another nice thing would be to improve the team orders. To make them more specific might be hard, but would be worth trying maybe. Also having some consequences after disobeying the orders would make it a bit more realistic. That could be for example worse relationship with manager (resulting in lower chance of getting a new contract or being selected for big races)/team mates.

Why: In the current implementation it doesn't feel like you are part of the team really. One can do whatever they want and just ride on their own even against their team. Which is fine it happens, but there should be some consequences especially if it doesn't lead to a successful result.

Idea: Expand Be a Pro Mode (Achievements/Personal Goals)
Explanation of idea: Different style of riders should have different achievements shown in the right side panel of the office Hub. Also the player should be able to set career goals at the start of their Be a Pro career along with picking out (or perhaps being assigned) season objectives at that start of each season.
Why: Something to add more depth and more of a purpose to continue playing the game mode for longer periods of time, or better said, it's added incentive to continue playing more.

Idea: Be A Pro buying statistical improvements.

Why: Gives purpose to money, allows for more rider customization, gives more purpose to race yourself instead of just simulating and allowing your rider to develop.

Explanation: Along with the current training (perhaps slow it a bit) you'd have the option to buy stats with your winnings. This gives purpose to your salary and winnings. I think the cost of each stat would have to be determined by some sort of formula including: age, overall statistic, and stat you want improved number.

Would be pretty easy to implement, just a thought.

Idea: Training mode (both from the main menu and from career with your current team).

Why: Allows practicing lead outs and recce of routes.

Explanation: Load in any part of a stage to work on tactics perhaps the last 20km of a stage for a lead out/sprint train practice to get the timings or a mountain climb to see how riders can deal with it. It's not good having to sit through a stage just to practice the last 20km.




Also - I like the different rider animations idea.

agreed, but there should be rewards for following the orders because you'd miss out too much on the XP you get with getting into breakaways as a young start-up rider.

Seeing that they have had plenty of practice making all the editions of PCM they should now be able to make a bug free edition for once Rolling Eyes

Idea- improve immersion in the game by adding feedback messages from sponsors.

Explanation- After a race or before one, have sponsors message you if its a good or bad result or commenting on the race. Vary sponsor characteristics to add outspoken guys like Tinkov :lol:

Why- To add character and colour to the game.


Idea- Expand the sponsor goals to include breakaway presence and combativity

Explanation.- Enable sponsors to ask for teams to be present in a breakaway as an objective and recognise it in the game. This is traditionally an important goal for weak teams in GTs is it not?

Why- to broaden the types of objectives and give small teams more realistic objectives in big races. Also to give baroudeurs more of a role.

Idea: Personal attack style/celebration

Why: To make the game more realistic

Explaination: Anyone have same style to attack, but riders like Contador or Froome have an other style in real life. The celebration I mean is like the Fifa games, where you example press X, where they make their usual signatures. I mean it on that way.

Maybe this wish can be too ambitious...

Explanation: In training you should be able to more determine what things should be trained on - not presets. Maybe an amount of "points" you can spend?

Agreed. They could implement the money better, so you can use that to "buy" upgrades. Otherwise is seems kinda useless to keep track of your earned money.

Idea: Feed Zone on Stages
Explanation of idea: A designated area on each stage where each riders water bottles are refilled automatically. Without have to a send a rider to the back. Could also have a cool animation with team members holding out bags alongside the road during that time.
Why: Because that's real cycling.
