Smoothie
So then its not far now till the next Dauphine Libere starts what are your thought who do think will win, who will win what stages the Jerseys.

Who do you want to win and what you think might happen.

As we all know Levi Leipheimer won last year, do you think he can reatin his crown?

Post all of your thoughts, pictures etc.

Not sure if to post start list might be a bit big Wink

Theres a link to strat list good idea thanks Smile

imo, he has absolutley 0 chance, but obviously some people (Levi4life) will think he has a chance

but no i don't think he'll win, i think it'll be Vino, Valverde, or Millar Grin

SportingNonsense
Millar will hopefully win a stage or 2 (2 timetrials I believe - but the Ventoux stage will ruin his overall hopes for sure.

Addy291
yes i believe he can win both TT's but as you say, it will really be decided on the big mountain stages like Ventoux

Looks really exciting.
A couple of riders could win it. Levi Leipheimer, Valverde, Vinokourov are my favorits to take the CG. But you never know what to expect from Vino. If he fails Kaschekin could be a exciting rider to follow too. Contador is good too. I'm surprised to see that CSC haven't picked Carlos Sastre for their team.

I cant wait wonder if Millar can take Prolouge, its so flat thought some sort distance no climber might take it.

David Zabriskie or Bradly Wiggins could take it too Grin hehe they are specialists on TT just like David Miller. Especially when the TT-stages are all flat with no hills Wink

Millar isn't a pure TT'er he is good up the mountains and the hills, but people tend to forget that, seen as he is a very good time trialist

Zabriske has also prowed to be very good i the mountains also. Didin´t he get 4 in mountain tt in the giro?

Addy291
something like that, but if you remember he was the favourite, i think he is slightly overrated, but he's a lot better than me, so who am i to complainPfft

Levi can win. Millar has no chance in Hell of winning. I don't know about Valverde. Haven't really seen any results from him recently.

USA USA USA!

On a more serious note, Levi should take it easy. I think he can definately hang in the mtns with these boys. Last few years his TT skills have eroded. However, this year he is stronger than ever with his new TT form. I think he should still focus on the TDF as his primary objective and just focus on hanging with the boys and use that to gauge where he's at.

I wont rule out levi but i think that maybe he has had his day and there are a few more talented climbers in the peleton. However he looked very strong in The tour of California.

Levi has deffinitly improved his TT form (3TT wins this year) and he proved he can blow everyone away in the mountains. Don't forget brasstown bald were he dominated. Levi attacked once and that is all it took to leave Gilberto Simoni with his Giro form in the dust.

i wonder what Bernhard Kohl can do he has had a decent carrer so far and is austrian champ, he finished 3rd overall last year, Might be the guy who takes Levis crown, hes in Gerolsteiner now how ironic!

Levi4life
The Dauphine doesn't really matter. What matters is the tour.

Smoothie
I think it is important i think it gives us an insight to who is goning to do well at the tour.

Hmm.. Dunno whether a "Prediction League: June" will be posted. But in case it might happen later today (going on a boat trip) this is my (quickly made up) bet of the day/GC.

Prologue:
1. Zabriskie
2. Millar
3. Kascheckin (what?? well..)

Polka:
Anton

Points:
Hushovd

GC:
1. Danielson (hehe.. Levi - drop dead!)
2. Kascheckin
3. Vinokourov

Countin' on the big guns to wait a month - Vino manages to go podium due to TT
