Selamat siang and welcome to the HQ of Indosat - ANZ!
We are an Indonesian team looking to aid in the development and promotion of cycling in South-East Asia along with the likes of other teams such as Compal and Siam. We look to form a core of primarily Indonesian and SE Asian riders, but understand at the present time this may be difficult because of the obscurity of cycling in the area. As a result, our sponsors and backers are in for the long haul and are willing to wait and assist in the development of our riders. We're one o only to teams to ever receive a license in Indonesia, and we're hoping in the many seasons to come we're not the last!
We'll be racing in the CT division and targeting races in our little corner of the planet. The opportunity to race in Europe is incredible for our team and will provide invaluable experience to our team which will only help us to grow.
Our team goals can be seen as ambitious, and we'll almost always be considered 'underdogs', but we'll fight until the very end and strive for success until we triumph. To a greater extent, our riders will be extremely motivated to expose this sport nationally which will hopefully encourage participation and development of cycling in our country. We will be relying on a mix of experience and young, talented riders to get us through our first season.
See you on the road!

3-4 years ago when starting with the MG I decided for a German Dutch team. After a couple of weeks months I was pity to not have chosen a smaller nation.
ANZ would have been my sponsor then. The NZ focus though.
Your idea looks interesting. Looking forward to what kind of riders you can get.
East Java win goal obvious. As it's the first mountain edition, it is difficult to predict.

We're the first team to receive a license in Indonesia
No, you're not
But hopefully things will last a little longer for you than for Bintang. We are happy to get some more rivalry in Asia this year in CT, and it will definitely benefit the Asian market in the long term, so you are most welcome! Will be interresting to see what kind of team you will put together, I will follow you closely.
Good luck mate! |

@ Jandal: Thanks!
@ Roturn: thanks! A NZ team would have been pretty interesting indeed, not much of a market but definitely some quality riders. I'll try make ANZ successful just for you! Seems like Java will be very unpredictable as well. Good luck to you, too!
@ Sammy: thanks for the support, much appreciated! I'm sure that we will. Maybe one day SE Asia will dominate in the mangame. Can only hope! Good luck with Sauber for the coming season.
@Bjartne: Ah how could I forget! I'll change that when I can. A bit of healthy competition should be great! Can only grow the sport. Thanks! I've been compiling my shortlist like a madman. Best of luck to you also!

Transfer News
First riders confirmed!
Indonesian mountain goat joins Indosat - ANZ
Parno joins us for the coming season and brings with him a wealth of experience from participating in many SE Asian races over the years. He's well respected amongst his peers and an ideal road captain in the mountains and knows how to coordinate a team and encourage them to achieve the best result. It is with great pleasure we welcome him!

(PS: For the love of everything that is good, don't google image search 'Parno'.)
Indonesian sprinter follows suit
Endra Wijaya also joins our team as a valued domestique sprinter. He has achieved some nice results in smaller national races and we believe he deserves a chance to ride in the professional peloton. We're very interested to see how he does, and hope to keep him beyond the end of the season.

Indosat - ANZ add experience
It is with great honour that we welcome Basque rider Mikel Nieve to our team! We received an offer from the management of BUFF - Polska of which we just couldn't refuse, despite the fact the rider was not initially on our shortlist. Nieve will definitely boost our climbing stocks and will likely co-lead our team in the mountains this season along with a yet unnamed rider. He has already signalled his willingness to participate in certain races, which will be announced in the coming weeks. We wish Mikel successful and prosperous season with us.

Could I ask what you payed for Nieve? I was approached to, but at the moment couldn't see the budget clearly and I quite regret that now.
Though his wage confirms it would've been hard for us to sign him |

$200,000. Not overly expensive, but not extremely cheap considering his age.

We're very excited about this signing!
Robin comes to us after riding for smaller teams based in Indonesia. He is a terrific climber and TT rider who will be instrumental to our success this season. He will primarily be riding in support of our team leaders, but undoubtedly will have his own opportunities to shine. He is nearly as excited to ride for us than we are to have him as part of our team!

Another terrific climber has been added to the team!
Peerapol has been signed to bolster our team in the mountains. He is a great climber and we will definitely be able to assist in showcasing his talent over the next season. He is a very aggressive and cunning rider who almost always finds himself in the right break. kind of a trend for our team thus far. He can ride comfortably over most terrain, and has a great finishing kick. If he makes it over the mountains in a select group, he will certainly be difficult to defeat. We very much look forward to working with him this season!

..And they just keep on coming!
UAE National champion joins team
The TT champion of the UAE is nearly as delighted to be joining us as we are to be having him ride for us! He's a strong stage racer with a very positive and relaxed attitude of which will be important in influencing the team dynamic. We secured him from our friends Compal - Merida for a low fee which we know Yousef will easily justify. He will mainly ride in support of our leaders as he doesn't consider himself a very aggressive rider, and prefers to work for the team. We know our relationship with this rider will be terrific and can't wait to see him in action during the season.
Yousef Mizra Banihammad OVL: 71 Age: 27 XP: Maxed Wage: 60,000

Young puncheur climbs aboard
We are ecstatic with the news that Seung Kwon Lee will be riding with us next season! He is a promising young puncheur with the potential to make a great teammate in the future. He is with us this year to gain some experience on road and will prove to be a valuable teammate. We'd be lying if we said we weren't interested to see how he performs this season.

The team is starting to take shape
The Iranian sprinter happily accepted the offer to ride with us this season. An accomplished track rider, Hossein will prove to be invaluable to us in sprint stages as he possesses speed that could literally tear the fabric of space and time apart! He has no trouble surviving over rolling hills and will be very hard to shake. He will most likely co-lead our team along with another sprinter (more to come). We are still negotiating on what goals Hossein would like to accomplish as part of our team this season, and we're sure that they'll definitely be within his capabilities.
Hossein Nateghi OVL: 71 Age: 28 XP: Maxed Wage: 50,000

Two more sign for Indosat - ANZ
Federico joins us from Karcher - Adira to co-lead our team in hilly classic-style races. His transfer fee was quite modest, and we're happy once again for a rider to join us without him breaking the bank. Our team was requested to have 2 - 3 Italians riding for us by one of our minor sponsors, and due to the large pool of riders available (Especially in the FA market) we wee more than happy to comply.
Fedrico is a very aggressive rider who likes to do his own thing and ride instinctively. We hope he finds great success riding with us this season.
Federico Rocchetti OVL: 71.7 Age: 29 XP: Maxed Wage: 60,000
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 68 | 63 | 75 | 64 | 70 | 65 | 68 | 54 | 65 | 64 | 79 | 57 | 64 |
Cameron joins us after spending a few seasons riding in Australia. He's a great all round rider and should be able to help our team in many different ways. We predict that we'll be seeing him working on the front most of the season, whether it be a flat stage for our sprinters or up a mountain. He's also got a knack for slipping into breaks, so will have ample opportunity to ride for himself.
Cameron Bayly OVL: 71 Age: 25 XP: lvl 4 Wage: 75,000

It is, next season hopefully!
We won't be as strong in hilly races as i'd like us to be unfortunately. We nearly struck a deal for a decent hilly rider, but it fell through.
