Hi Guys, i have had a strange urge to start building some new profile both really and fantasy. The problem i have i when i go to activate the Cyanide Editor i received
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
While do not wish to reinstall the complete PCM2007 is there a way to either download the PCM2007 StageEditor separately or can someone else throw a few ideas my way with reinstalling the whole game as i was one of the people that had trouble installing it in the first place properly. I have been playing since installation now about 4 months.
Again thank you for any info offered,

It's a really bad editor, it'll crash extremely often - just keep trying, it worked for me...eventually

In fact I have given up with the editor.
Not because I can't be bothered to learn its little idiosyncracies, I am well used to that in other graphics areas. I like the game and was prepared to put a lot of time into learning / creating some decent stages.
But because I cannot stand it crashing as much as it does even when I make a perfectly legal alteration or addition. Every time I edit something it will crash and then I have to open it all up again to look at what i have done, too time consuming. So I live in hope that they will do something for PCM08, though i doubt it.
Sorry to be negative and don't let it put you off it may be just my PC, other people seem to manage. |

Thanks guys for your help, i have been unable to open the editor as yet, i have in the past tolerated the crashing of the editor at time during the building of stages but i cannot even get to that but i may give a complete installation another go later (fingers crossed). It really frustrates me that while i appreciate the potential the game has it does it's self no favours in bugs and clumsy editors. I suppose it mirrors the issues in cycling at the moment in regards with UCI etc.
Thanks again guys and if i can get the editor activated i will build a few real and fantasy stages for all to try as i enjoyed added my 2 bits i had added in some of PPDB's efforts before. |

Yes mate i did try your suggestion and unfortunately not luck, i wouldn't be so hesitant in a re-installation except for the fact that for some reason it took 10+ attempts with installing the game it's self. Unless i can find a way to download just the stage editor or find a fix i will nervously attempt a re-installation. Again thanks for the suggestion and if anyone does happen to know away around my problem in the future please let me know. |

Here it is. You need to extract the package to Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager 2007/

Might try that myself. Do you need to delete the old files or just install over the top? |

Well, downloaded and re-installed. Ran the Stage editor, put in a straight set of waypoints. Quick render all looked okay. Back to top view and then quick render again, lighting all too bright. Back to top view. Render and it crashed.
Not doing any illegal moves, just a 9 waypoint route and it crashes if you render more than once. |

Sorry Crue for the delay in a report back with regards to the editor work and all that got in the way, i did download your editor and thank you very much for that and all went well until i went to use the editor and same error message as i had with the one with the game. I even went for a complete re-installation which as you know i did not want to do, but still no go. I thank you again for your help, i just wish cyanide would apply the name of their company to all issues with the game that cause grief to all. |

I didn't expect it to work, but it was well worth the try. You can try contacting Cyanide's support here: https://www.cyanide-studio.com/?rub=su...ub=support |

Im intrigued to know how they themselves managed to develop all the routes that they have done... especially with such a shoddy editor

Here's to hoping Cyanide release a whole new series of editors that actually enhance the game.... |
