Sponsor Presentation #1: Evonik

sciecon.bts-ev.de/fileadmin/images/content/sciecon_nrw/logos/Evonik_300dpi_Screen_sRGB.jpg

Name:Evonik Industries AG
Industry:Speciality chemicals
Founded:2006
Employees:33.000
HQ:Essen (Germany)
Other sponsoring:Borussia Dortmund, Chess
Main Interest :Germany
Minor Interest :Austria, Switzerland
Also interested in: USA, Baltics, China, Japan, Brazil

Only founded in 2006, Evonik started soon to invest in sport spondering with supporting Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as main sponsor since 2006 and also be one of the main sponsors at the world chess championship in 2008. Due to their sponsoring they have a very positive image in Germany and therefore, they want to expand their engagement by creating their own cycling teams. As they saw with Borussia that trusting young talents will pay off Evonik is okay with planning longterms with their talents. They want to have a focus on the German speaking countries but as they are also very active in the american and eastern asian market they also would like a few talents from these countries. The company isn't very active in the Baltic countries yet but as the baltic countries have a rising economy and after Latvia is replacing their previous currency with the Euro and Lithuania planing it for 2015 it is expected that they will improve further. Therefore, Evonik would love some Baltic talents in their team.

Goals Presentation #1: Standing Goal

www.bmx-vechta.de/drupal6/sites/default/files/image/UCI-logo1.jpg

Every team needs to build up some goals and while other teams are way too optimistic with their goals we rather want to focus on more realistic goals for our first season. Therefore, our first goal is to finish inside the top 15 of the continental team standings. We think that this should be achievable and that this goal fits the best in our philosophy of building up a team with longterm perspective.

Nice looking team HQ. I'm curious to know how your jersey will be. My guess is it'll be similar to Lierse's one.

Good luck for your team

@Gustavovskiy: Thanks mate. I have to say I'm curious about my jersey, too. It isnt finished yet. Well, it isnt very surprising to say that it will include similar colours as Lierse although i think that they will differ enough to not create confusions on the pictures Wink

Employees:13.200
HQ:Dortmund & Hamburg (Germany)
Other sponsoring:Borussia Dortmund, Horse Sports
Main Interest :Germany
Minor Interest :Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania

The SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe in today's form was created in 1999 after the fusion of SIGNAL Insurances (1907) and Iduna Nova Gruppe (1906). They got more popular to a larger group of Germans by buying the name rights for the former Westfalenstadion in Dortmund. Due to their history Germany is the most important market for SIGNAL IDUNA but they also have subsidiaries in Poland, Switzerland, Hungary and Romania. Obviously, these are belong their key interests for the new cycling team. It is their company goal to become a market leader as an insurer in the growing markets in Central and Eastern Europe for integrated health care insurance and therefore, other riders from these regions could also be targeted.

* Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Mainz 05, SC Freiburg, Bayern Munich,

After starting with producing sewing machines Opel started to produce cars in 1899 and when the first world war began they were already the largest car manufacturer in Germany and hold that position for a long time. They had a good public image as they were known as reliable and traditional. They were also known for being a main sponsor of german football club Bayern Munich for a longer period of time. In the new century Opel's image was massively hurted by a financial crisis which nearly destroyed the whole company. Eventually, they were safed by russish Sberbank and canadian Magna. To relieve their image they restarted their sport sponsoring activities with sponsoring five german football clubs, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Mainz 05 & SC Freiburg, since 2012, returning to motorsport competition in 2013 and as the next step they want to be a premium partner of new cycling team Evonik - Signal Iduna. As part of this deal they will sponsor the team cars.

I'll be back

@Avin Wargunnson:Thank you for the kind words. German market will be tough but I hope that a few of the teams concentrate on one super talent and as you can see from the sponsor presentations Germany isn't the only interesting market for me...
Luck is of course very much appreciated...

Yeah, i see your sponsors have also other countries of minor interest. I see some familiar areas there, maybe you will like to visit my Metinvest HQ soon, because one rider that could interest you was released for 2014 (name is secret till oficial end of renewals).
I'll be back

@Avin Wargunnson:There are indeed a few riders in your squad that could possibly be interesting for me....

cunego59
Indeed a very nice HQ! Looking at the sponsors, can we expect a yellow and black jersey? Pfft

knockout
@cunego59: Of course you can expect a yellow and black jersey. That are some very nice colours and the sponsors wanted to have a jersey which the cycling fans can immeadiatly link with the companies and due to their other sponsoring activities yellow and black are equally linked to most of the sponsors Wink

Goals Presentation #2: Rund um den Eschborn-Frankfurt

imageshack.com/a/img843/600/2dky.jpg

The yearly German classic in Frankfurt is part of the new continental C2HC calender. It was in the UCI calender 5 times in the last six years and mostly punchy sprinters and classic riders with a strong sprint finish dominated this race. As we think that this race profile could match our targeted riders, we aim to get a Top 10 here. This may be one of our easier targets as only 16 teams are competing against us in this race but this must not be true. Anyway, we want to achieve big in our home country!

Goals Presentation #3: Criterium Hainleite

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/criterium_hainleite.jpg

After already announcing that the C2HC race "Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt" is one of our goals it wasnt hard to guess that the other german C2HC classic Criterium Hainleite is also a race which is targeted by us. It is a race which is difficult to pretend as all puncheurs, sprinters and cobblers could possibly fight for the win but we think we know which riders can perform good here and so we aim for a Top 10 .

Name:Puma SE

Other sponsoring:pretty much every sport
Main Interest :Germany
Minor Interest :Baltics
Also interested in: worldwide

After arguing with his brother Adi Dassler Rudolf Dassler started in 1948 his own company. They quickly grow massively in the sportswear market and are today one of the biggest brands in the market. After already sponsoring their own cycling team they quickly agreed to be a minor sponsor for the new founded German continental team Evonik. They will produce our jersey and shorts. Asked to their most interesting markets the CEO told us that they dont care too much about rider's nationality as they are interested in nearly every market but especially the Baltic countries were named as interesting especially after their own cycling team isnt represented too well there. Talking about the Puma team: Rumours are saying that the new team has already told the PCT team about their interest in a deal about one or two riders.
