The Rider Renewals will be starting soon for the 2014 season for all continuing teams who were in the game in 2013.
For each of your riders you will received an initial wage request, and it is then up to you to negotiate with them to reach as low a wage as possible. Riders are relatively greedy, but can be negotiated with - although the difference between their Round 1 request and their minimum accepted amount will vary significantly from rider to rider.
As soon as you offer a rider an amount they are happy with, they will accept - this is committed to being their wage for the 2014 season, you cannot attempt to negotiate any further with them. There are 3 Rounds for renewals, and if a rider has not accepted your offers after 3 rounds then he will became a free agent.
If you want to release a rider, give them an offer of 0 in the first around.
The minimum wage is 50,000. If you are initially unsure whethere you want to release or renew a rider, you should offer them a value between 0 and 50,000 in the first round to keep your options open.
When negotiating, riders will offer you a hint about how close your previous offer was to what they will accept:
| Close | At most 20k away, but could be much closer | | Average | Could mean up to as far away as 80k, but again could also mean much closer than that | | Way Off | Maybe you are roughly 180k away from the rider's accepting wage, but alternatively it could be half of that | | Serious increase needed | If you're not close, you're not average, you're not way off, and a deal has not been made, then the rider isnt very happy with you! |
It is possible to go over your salary cap at the end of Renewals, but doing so will lead to a fine. For example, if you go over your salary cap by 100k then you will receive a fine of 200k. You will be told your budget for the season when you receive the first Renewals file. New CT teams will also be sent their budgets at some point soon too.
There is no fine limit on the amount of riders you can have in your team after the renewals.
In case anyone is wondering, I have constructed the files without adding the data for Jaguar/Vesuvio riders. Once one of the reporters has done their renewals, I will send them a blank file, and my team's data separately, and they will conduct my Renewals.

I would like to ask if offering a way off wage have any effect on next round of negotiations.will the rider demand more just because i offere d ridicolously low offer in the first round? If this is secret information,i guess i will know the answer sooner or later

I'm going to ask: I'm probably beeing dumb, but basically this works by a file that SN will upload or by actually PM'ing SN with the wages?

SN sends you a file which you fill in, and you go from there. |

At the moment I have only sent them out to people who are using Dropbox. I don't have time to do all teams at once, so it is going in stages.

All but two teams have received renewals now - the two that havent have yet to send in their goals. Plenty have finished, so it is going fast.

It was a nice method to do renewals instead of having to upload through rapidshare, and send the link each time...
As mentioned before OneDrive works slightly better imo, which could be a possible change for next season if not Dropbox have caught up with the development. It sure was a nice addition though, and I hope we will be getting more of this in the future. Also the addition of the dropbox folder with important 2014 files is an extremely nice addition as some of us use multiple PC's during a season.

Just a quick question.
The money that you have left after the rider renewals is that for signing new riders in the transfer season?

The Transfer Cap Remaining is for that, yes. The rest of your budget is for buying riders from other teams and training your riders.

Yes, of course.
So if renewals are wrapped up that quickly (I thought it would take alot longer) could the transfer season be just around the corner? Would be good if we got a weeks notification or something. I can't wait  |

I would assume when everyone is finished to avoid giving hints to others. It wouldn't be long now.

4 days ago only two teams hadn't received their goals. Cio and one more. Cio seems back and active from the holiday, and I assume all other teams are done by now. So I guess we are waiting for one or perhaps two managers. Imo that should be close enough to get going for the managers done - But SN is to make the decision. I'm also ready to post my team when possible.
