Team Bpost – Vlaanderen
After an incredibly successful 2013 season in the PCT ranks, we succeeded in securing promotion to the ProTour for the 2014 season! This will be an interesting year for us, with a lot of strengthening needed in the squad just to ensure our survival here into the future. We are still building for the future at the present time, so this season will be crucial for ensuring our long-term sustainability.
After last year’s great season BPost have renewed their sponsorship, ensuring that they will be our title sponsor not just for this year but also for 2015. In addition to their regular contribution we have a new sponsor for 2014 – the Flandrian government, who have spent some of the tourism budget on us to ensure that people will come to Belgium for their holidays. Due to this we asked aidanvn13 to redesign our jersey for us to include the famous Lion of Flanders. Here is the result:
To go with our new kit we also have a new bike design. For the third straight year our bikes will be provided by Merckx, the premier Belgian bike manufacturer. Our equipment designer this year was fintas and these are the results of his fantastic work:

Rooting for you in the cobbled season!
And if you leave cobblers in the PCT we might find them a home.

@ Alakagom - There really aren't many options if I want to keep my Benelux core...
@ tyriion - I'm probably not going to be leaving any behind me... as you are about to find out:

Provisional Renewals List
Towards the end of last season we put out a provisional list of riders we would be looking to renew. Since then more detailed attention has been paid and we have made more progress on the list. Below is thus the list of riders we intend to renew for next season.
Definitely Staying
Dominique Cornu
Pieter Vanspeybrouck
Joeri Stallaert
Tim Wellens
Romain Zingle
Kris Boeckmans
William Maesen
Tim Declerq
Guillaume Van Keirsbulck
It would take a very large offer to make any of these riders leave. Anything can happen in the transfer season... but in all likelihood these guys will be with us come January.
Renewed – Could Leave For Right Price
Niels Albert
Welle Jallays
Johan Vansummeren
Remco Broers
Sven Vandousselaere
Ben Curfs
Francis De Greef
Dion Beukeboom
Jerome Cousin
Mathieu La Lavandier
Frederik Frison
Eliot Lietaer
We are planning to keep these riders with us for next season but we could be persuaded to sell them for the right price or as part of a swap deal involving a rider we want. Ultimately, though, it would still require a decent amount of money to justify them leaving our team. Some of the young talents could leave for much less (Like the La Lavandiers).
Renewed – Looking to Sell
Cyril Gautier
Romain Feillu
Mathieu Drujon
Maxime La Lavandier
These are the riders we are looking to get rid of during the transfer season. We will be renewing them to keep their wages low for you, and then we will be looking for money in exchange. They could potentially be part of a swap deal but we would rather have the money in most cases.
Not Renewed
Arnaud Godet
Jonathon Dufrasnes
These riders will be going to the Free Agency.

The birds are chirping that as the continuation of the Nikolas Maes deal, Allianz-BMW looking to strenghten the financial benefitting relations with Team Bpost and will be interested in Cyril Gautier and Niels Albert .

We want Gautier. A lot. Almost as much as we want Coppel, although money will be tight of course. |

@ jaxika - I expect a lot of competition for Gautier (see jph's post) and Albert would require quite a lot of money. I really want to keep him with Vanspeybrouck for the 4th straight season so I would need a lot of money. We will see how things go.
@ jph27 - I thought you might be interested. I won't be in any rush to sell him on the first day unless a fantastic deal comes up.

Maybe this time we might finally get a transfer between us done
Otherwise this looks like a bitter rivalry

alexkr00 - He should be cheaper than many of the other options on the list. He has been a great domestique for us and took out Faso.
Rin - I hope we can work together but almost all of my targets are Belgian so if you want any Belgians, particularly young ones, we are definitely going to clash.

It's nice to see you want to keep the core of your squad. I am looking forward to compete with your great cobble riders in PT races!

National Champion Jerseys Revealed
We are proud to announce that today we can reveal the two national championship jerseys that were won by our riders in the off-season.
Firstly, we have the Belgian TT champion's jersey won by Dominique Cornu. We are confident that he will wear this jersey with pride in our first season in the PT:
Secondly, we have the French road race champion's jersey won by Cyril Gautier. This jersey is so beautiful that it is almost enough to make us want to keep him next season. Almost... but not quite:
Once again a huge thanks must go to aidanvn13, who a phenomenal job making these for us.

Absolutely beautiful kit. I think it's hard to do, but every year we seem to get even nicer kit.
That Belgian jersey though, wow. Kudos to aidanvn13.

you have to keep Gautier or get Coppel just to race in that kit OMG that's one of the best french champions jerseys I've ever seen. |
