Hello everyone, and welcome to the newly formed team, with its headquarters in Armenia. Yes, it's Team Ameriabank - Novatek. We may only be continental now, but we do obviously have ambitions to end up higher later on. We do feel it's appropriate to introduce all partners that are making this project possible:
First of all, Armenian bank Ameriabank:
Our other main sponsor is Russian gas provider Novatek
For bikes, we are sponsored by Giant
Wheels will be supplied by Lightweight
Helmets are from Selev
Clothes will be supplied by Craft
This is the jersey we'll ride with:

New signing: JÃri Hochmann is here as well. The team now has 15 riders. We are still looking for 1 or 2 riders more though

Awesome looking jersey! But I'm afraid something's gone wrong with the riders' clothes when shipping them to Australia, where they ride the Great Ocean Road Classic. Therefore your riders use a plain white jersey with stickers of the company logos on them.
*This is just because the race han been raced and the report has already been written. I'm sorry for this, but the rules clearly state I cannot re-run a race once it's done, unless the game decides to crash before the results can be exported.

Ameriabank started the season in Cuba, at the Clasico San Cristobal. With Firsanov, we brought an outsider for victory here. We didn't send anyone into the break and were invisible pretty much all day.
Phil Gaimon took a nice win for his team
while Firsanov still got us to a 12th place. Bring on the flat races!

Stage 1
A quiet first time trial. Velits and Barta ride top-25.
1 | Ian Stannard | Team ASDA-Savers | 27'04 | 2 | Michael Schär | Team Vontobel | + 24 | 3 | Michiel Elijzen | Team TomTom | + 30 | 21 | Martin Velits | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 50 |
Stage 2
We set up a strong sprint train.
However, we couldn't help the fact that Earle out of the early break remained ahead. Serebriakov came 3rd though.
1 | Nathan Earle | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 3h27'49 | 2 | Cameron Meyer | Fletcher - Garneau | + 50 | 3 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 3
New mass sprint. Serebriakov comes 5th.
1 | Cameron Meyer | Fletcher - Garneau | 3h48'13 | 2 | Juan Pablo Forero | Alpina - Avianca | s.t. | 3 | Michael Vingerling | Team TomTom | s.t. | 5 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 4
Disaster. Serebriakov and his lead-out Hochmann are both involved in a crash. Our leader even has to abandon due to the suffered injuries.
The break was once again allowed to stay ahead.
1 | Bruno Borges | Bonsucro | 2h29'38 | 2 | Kin-San Wu | Compal-Merida | s.t. | 3 | Jimmy Pranata | Sauber Petronas Racing | s.t. | 32 | Martin Velits | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 5'24 |
Stage 5
Breakaway.
1 | Joshua Edmondson | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 2h25'38 | 2 | David Veilleux | Azteca - NBCSN | s.t. | 3 | Jorge Adelbo Soto Pereira | Bonsucro | s.t. | 32 | Martin Velits | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 1'00 |
Final GC
1 | Ian Stannard | Team ASDA-Savers | 12h45'36 | 2 | Cameron Meyer | Fletcher - Garneau | + 15 | 3 | Michael Schär | Team Vontobel | + 24 | 19 | Martin Velits | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 50 |
After a disappointing race in New Zealand we started in Australia for the Great Ocean Road Classic.
After an odd race with many attacks one was rewarded. Unfortunately it wasn't one of us. Serebriakov came 9th.
1 | Sarawut Sirironnachai | Siam Cement - Lenovo | 4h26'53 | 2 | Greg De Winde | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | s.t. | 3 | Jean-Lou Paiani | In-n-Out Racing Powered by Auchan | s.t. | 9 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Ehm, well, ehm, yeah, ehm, we, ehm, should, ehm, have been able to do better. Breakaways are for some reason way too strong.
A relatively flat race in Hong Kong here, so it seems like it's going to be a mass sprint.
However, another breakaway victory was the result. Serebriakov came 18th, which is once again quite disappointing.
1 Rob Partridge Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling 3h19'43
2 Salvatore Mancuso Bacardi Limited s.t.
3 Gert Steegmans Gazelle + 39
18 Aleksandr Serebriakov Team Ameriabank-Novatek s.t.
Stage 1
This flat stage should mean a mass sprint.
And indeed, it's Farrar who's fastest here. Valentin does well with 9th. Martin also does well with an 11th place.
1 Leonardo Duque Azteca - NBCSN 4h08'03
2 Sam Harrison Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling s.t.
3 Grega Bole Team Nordeus s.t.
9 Valentin Iglinski Team Ameriabank-Novatek s.t.
Stage 2
A hilly stage with a flat finish. Perfect for a punchy sprinter.
One of our leaders, Firsanov is dropped unfortunately.
With 1km to go we are in a good position. 3 riders still in the race for the win.
With one of them being Iglinski, who delivers us our first ever victory!
Velits and Barta also make it into the top-10.
1 | Valentin Iglinski | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | 4h10'35 | 2 | Robert Sweeting | In-n-Out Racing Powered by Auchan | s.t. | 3 | Grega Bole | Team Nordeus | s.t. |
Stage 3
Flat stage. Unlikely for Iglinski to repeat his performance. He did get very close with a 3rd place in a pure mass sprint.
1 | Robert Sweeting | In-n-Out Racing Powered by Auchan | 4h17'42 | 2 | Grega Bole | Team Nordeus | s.t. | 3 | Valentin Iglinski | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 4
A break was once again allowed to go, taking control of the GC *sigh*
1 | Yu Takenouchi | Team ASDA-Savers | 4h33'49 | 2 | Cedric Lebris | Team TomTom | + 1'03 | 3 | Stijn Joseph | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | s.t. | 33 | Valentin Iglinski | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 4'33 |
Stage 5
Break again.
1 | Neil Van der Ploeg | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 4h29'36 | 2 | Marcel Wyss | Team Vontobel | + 28 | 3 | Florian Bissinger | Evonik - Signal Iduna | + 55 | 15 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 2'08 |
Stage 6
Break. Iglinski lost his top-10 spot thanks to this. Well done.
1 | Adam Farabaugh | Wounded Warrior Racing | 4h24'01 | 2 | Paul Van der Ploeg | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Aleksandr Kolobnev | Grupo Nutresa | + 58 | 18 | Aleksei Schmidt | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | +9'06 |
It's better already, but why are those breaks still allowed to go away and take so many wins and moreover, why are we never part of them?

Stage 1

Invisibility is the key. To failure.
Or crashing. That's an even worse way of failing. Especially if your best sprinter is involved. Serebriakov with a great continuation of his so far perfect season.

Stage 6
Not bad actually!
1 | Ian Stannard | Team ASDA-Savers | 14'47 | 2 | Michael Ford | Oz Cycling Project | + 5 | 3 | Kai Reus | La Vie Claire | + 16 | 12 | Aleksandr Khatuntsev | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 35 |
Stage 7
1 | Dan Holloway | Heineken-Cal Giant | 4h47'35 | 2 | Ivano Lo Cicero | Meiji - Cannondale | s.t. | 3 | Roman Maksimov | Project: Africa | s.t. | 8 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Final GC
1 | Dan Holloway | Heineken-Cal Giant | 19h11'43 | 2 | Ian Stannard | Team ASDA-Savers | + 21 | 3 | Kai Reus | La Vie Claire | + 30 | 17 | Aleksandr Khatuntsev | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 1'06 |
Stage 1

Stage 3
A miracle just happened. We joined the break!
A good result for Firsanov, as he sort of managed to hang on.
1 | Dan Craven | Venchi - Ferranti | 3h32'39 | 2 | Linus Gerdemann | Karcher-Adira Racing | + 1'02 | 3 | Tanel Kangert | Allianz-BMW Cycling Team | + 1'08 | 6 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 1'43 |
Stage 4

Stage 5

1 | André Greipel | Privatbank - Nemiroff Professional Cycling Team | 2h51'02 | 2 | Paride Grillo | AMEXpc | s.t. | 3 | Siarhei Papok | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | s.t. | 15 | Evgeni Popov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |

I tried to find a picture, but we were nowhere to be seen. Next please.
1 | Jonathan Tiernan-Locke | Team ASDA-Savers | 4h50'32 | 2 | Marcel Wyss | Team Vontobel | s.t. | 3 | Phillip Gaimon | In-n-Out Racing Powered by Auchan | s.t. | 95 | Alexander Foliforov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 5'42 |
Stage 1
A normal start...
1 | Simon Geschke | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 4h51'36 | 2 | Pirmin Lang | Team Vontobel | s.t. | 3 | Peter Hawkins | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | s.t. | 22 | Valentin Iglinski | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |

Stage 3
I had to scroll quite a while to find someone of our team.
1 | Jose Mendes | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 4h53'43 | 2 | Wilson Marentes | Azteca - NBCSN | s.t. | 3 | Simon Geschke | Evonik - Signal Iduna | s.t. | 26 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |

Final GC
1 | Jose Mendes | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 15h19'16 | 2 | Wilson Marentes | Azteca - NBCSN | + 29 | 3 | Reto Hollenstein | Team Vontobel | + 45 | 14 | Martin Velits | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 2'47 |
We may seem quite strong here, but of course the riders just thought it would be nice to let the breakaway go first.
Serebriakov unfortunately only had 2 more riders of the break ahead of him, his 3rd place could be his best performance so far.
1 | Mattias Westling | Team Live Nation | 4h06'10 | 2 | Kevin Peeters | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | s.t. | 3 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 1
Not Iglinski, but Firsanov sprinted for us. Let's repeat that once.
1 | Marcel Wyss | Team Vontobel | 4h17'19 | 2 | Aleksandr Kolobnev | Grupo Nutresa | s.t. | 3 | Michael Rodriguez Galindo | Repsol-Cativen | s.t. | 4 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 2
Not this time though!
1 | Héctor Hugo Rangel | Project: Africa | 3h08'16 | 2 | Rafael Andriato | Repsol-Cativen | s.t. | 3 | Timothy Dupont | Evonik - Signal Iduna | s.t. | 49 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 3
Please don't let a manager of a sprinter team use CTRL+F to find his riders in a result of a sprint stage again.
1 | Honorio Machado | Repsol-Cativen | 3h14'37 | 2 | Héctor Hugo Rangel | Project: Africa | s.t. | 3 | Tyler Day | Project: Africa | s.t. | 35 | Evgeni Popov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 4
Good race by Firsanov here actually
1 | Marcel Wyss | Team Vontobel | 3h13'37 | 2 | Aleksandr Kolobnev | Grupo Nutresa | + 24 | 3 | Jaroslav Kulhavy | ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 1'29 |
Final GC
1 | Marcel Wyss | Team Vontobel | 13h53'09 | 2 | Aleksandr Kolobnev | Grupo Nutresa | + 40 | 3 | Jaroslav Kulhavy | ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team | + 56 | 5 | Sergey Firsanov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 2'09 |
No victories, but at least we tried something this month.

Cobbles?! Run, run for your lives!
Tigran therefore decided to actually run off and joined the break. He got caught though.
1 | Aleksei Saramotins | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 5h54'10 | 2 | Timothy Dupont | Evonik - Signal Iduna | + 21 | 3 | Stijn Joseph | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | s.t. | 40 | Tigran Korkotyan | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Team Goal: Stage Win
Stage 1
1 | Viktor Renäng | Team Live Nation | 6'13 | 2 | Chad Haga | Team Chiquita - Universal | + 1 | 3 | JÃri Hochmann | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 2 |
Stage 2
3rd. Not good enough.
Stage 3
Alexander in the break, which didn't make it.
1 | Jose Mendes | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 4h15'19 | 2 | Jonathan Tiernan-Locke | Team ASDA-Savers | s.t. | 3 | Bjorn Selander | Team Chiquita - Universal | s.t. | 16 | Kirill Pozdnyakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + '25 |

5th in the sprint.
Stage 5
Pozdnyakov won the sprint. For 7th that is.
1 | Bruno Borges | Bonsucro | 4h37'03 | 2 | Francis De Greef | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | + 1'16 | 3 | Hichem Chaabane | Fletcher - Garneau | s.t. | 7 | Kirill Pozdnyakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | + 2'43 |
Stage 6
2nd in the sprint. Meh, failing a goal hurts especially if you come so close.
1 | Simon Geschke | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 4h02'34 | 2 | Kirill Pozdnyakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. | 3 | Bjorn Selander | Team Chiquita - Universal | s.t. |
Stage 7
Again! I could fill 2 lines of swearwords when considering how close Serebriakov was to achieving our goal. I'll keep calm though. For now.
1 | Simon Geschke | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 3h48'37 | 2 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. | 3 | Carlos Alexandre Manarelli | Bonsucro | s.t. |

1 | Armindo Fonseca | Team Vontobel | 3h48'19 | 2 | Juan Pablo Forero | Alpina - Avianca | s.t. | 3 | Jose Mendes | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | s.t. | 18 | Aleksandr Serebriakov | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | s.t. |
Stage 1
It's possible, it's possible! JÃri is capable of winning and immediately wins stage 1 here! Just the wrong race, the previous one would have been better.
1 | JÃri Hochmann | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | 3h56'26 | 2 | Michael Vanderaerden | Fletcher - Garneau | s.t. | 3 | Armindo Fonseca | Team Vontobel | s.t. |

Stage 4
'Let's not be bothered to do anything'
Can't even be bothered to post the results
Stage 5
Alexander joins the break, which is something only he seems to be capable of in this team.
The break made it, but Alexander turned out to be the worse of the two.

Next
Stage 5
Valentin in the break today.
They almost made it, but that isn't enough. 16th is our max for today apparently.
Stage 6
Arman joined the break today.
Kiriil, our main sprinter here, for some reason attacks in the middle of the race.
He eventually came 25th.
Next round-up will probably include the Barcelona Classic and/or the Vuelta a Guatemala
