I bought PCM2012 to try out the cross mod. I installed the mod, can see the opening graphics; but when I go to play the career I can't find the games, cross racers etc? Am I missing a step in the process to get to cross career? |

You have to select the officialrelease.
However, I recommend you to download the v1.1 & v1.5 versions as well, they make the game better.
They can be found on PCMfocus(maybe an admin should put them in our downloadsection as well)

Well, I have a question about that too: Installing StanosCrossBase replaces the normal road race or is it separated from all the normalDatabase-careers? Somone wrote that in the comments of the download section and now I am not really eager to try it out...^^

It replaces the normal road, you'd see them as 'cyclocross terrain' as well.,
But try a double-install, I did that as well.
Just insert your PCM 12 disk, go to 'My computer', click on the PCM disk with the right mouse button, click open, click setup and voilà , you can install the game another time, on an other location. Just put the cyclocross DB there

Thanks for the tip. You mean like, I install the game in Program Files\Cyanide - Cyclo\blabla... I imagine everything's fine with your documents-folder though (meaning no problems?), including the saves and such? And no problems with the registry or such a thing? It's kind of weird to install a game two times but I imagine Cyclo cross is worth it.

Everything's fine.
Only thing should be the local.cdb, just back-up the normal one and place it back when you're going to play the normal game again, just switching local.cdb, 10 seconds, shouldn't be a problem
And yeah. Just don't forget to download the V1.1 & v1.5.
Oh wait, I'll help.
Sent the links to Cycleman a few days ago, so you don't have to make a PCMfocus acc:
V1.1:
https://www.dropb...3_v1.1.rar
v1.5:
https://www.mediaf...3_v1.5.rar
(1.5 is actually my own mediafire account, since it linked to the PCMfocus download section on the DB page at PCMfocus, so uploaded myself)

You refer to the Local.db in the documents folder: (C:\Users\Lukas\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2012), right? I imagine that it's also recommend to install Patch 1.4 on the new game?
I'll wait till my Gora Euskadi story reached the end of its first season and try my luck then. Before it's a bit too risky, seeing as how I have had weird issues with the game in the past.

Okay another question: Is it be possible to create a separate documents folder (like PCM Cyclocross) for the game?

I don't think so.
Why would you anyway?

Okay, I can actually avoid it by renaming the entire folder always and keeping two, separating both normal PCM and Cyclo Cross folder for good (e.g. Pro Cycling Manager 2012 RR, PCM2012 CC). This way I think I'm sure to not mess anything up.

What do you mean? I installed the game in a different location and it didn't start anymore, neither in the normal version nor the one intented for cyclo cross. :/

Yeah... I don't know either. I guess it messed up the registry or something like that because after I uninstalled the Cyclo Cross intented version, I couldn't even start the normal game to check if everything's okay... No harm done, I was smart this time around and backed everything up. A clean re-installation should make it all okay. Gonna try the Cyclo cross version maybe on another pc.

I am not sure if I understood everything but this is how you should do a double installation: https://www.pcmdai...d_id=22760
(yes, an old thread, but still valid) |

Thanks Lachi. Took me some re-reading to understand it fully, but I think I got it. You still have to change the Local.db in the Documents folder though?
