An event can be interesting on itself. Besides, what link is there between motorsports and football? It's not that there's a GC for multiple Dakar-like rallies (please correct me if I'm wrong)

The rookie Ken Roczen takes the win in Anaheim last night after James Stewart the two time champ went down on a nasty wreck going through one of the straight parts of the track. Defending Champ Ryan Villopotto wrecked on the 2nd lap, he was in the lead when he wrecked but was able to rebound for a 4th place finish.

On the subject of F1 numbers, note that Vettel will get #5 when he won't be champion again.
And on an unrelated note, apparently Nissan will be back at Le Mans as a factory effort with a car (or many) fully compatible with the LMP1 regulations in 2015.
I like Kamuy, but signing an average (by F1 standards) driver who brings no sponsorship while keeping a potential superstar as reserve who doesn't get to drive the car ranks quite high among the stupidest personnel decisions I've seen any team make
Then again, it's Caterham. They've never been smart.
And no, he's not getting GP2 outings in the Caterham GP2 team either. That opportunity goes to the most perfect Maldonado clone I've ever seen (decently talented, crash prone, blames the team for everything, brings tons of sponsorship from a small country's government)
Oh god and Ericsson in the other seat. Talk about no hopers. Ericsson's had every chance and even the best car last year. Still didn't come close to doing anything with it. Even the usually introverted Valsecchi pointed out pre-season that with Ericsson as driver DAMS wouldn't do crap (and they didn't)
