Remember May 2013, probably not! But that was the start of the 1st Tour of the Chosen. See the links below to refresh your memory or see what happened. Kentaurus came out on top of the first ever TOTC with a big margin back to Selwink.

Well now we are back for a second time. We had some troubles but overall it was a great experience for me and others. All advice has been taken on board and I expect this version to top the original version.
More information will be added in the coming days about this particular version. This is just a post to say it will happen.
Players who participated in the first TOTC will have priority on participating but anyone can join. That is everyone except SSJ2LUIGI and jaxika as they failed to do a team presentation, but if they do a very small team presentation for TOTC 1 then they can join if they wish.
IF YOU WISH TO JOIN AND LIKE THE LOOK OF TOTC 1 THEN PM ME SAYING YOU WISH TO JOIN.
A lot of Information about the format; rules etc will be added tomorrow. Don't miss it.
Feel free to post/ spam this thread.!
* ADMINS - Please leave this in the PCM2013 story section to drum up some interest.

At the moment all of the following information is negotiable so if there is a consensus that we change rules we can do so by discussing it in this thread.
The same as the T.O.T.C 1: the following will be used by me:
PCM 2011
2013 database adapted by Atlantius for PCM 2011
(the stats not massively different to the recent release of updated stats)
Leipheimer, Menchov and di Luca are the only riders removed at this stage but if anyone has a legitimate reason for removing a rider then so be it (post in this thread)
Once again a GT will be used so the same scoring system can be used, this time the Vuelta 2012 which starts with a TTT will be used.
At the moment we are at PART 0:
Once PART 0 has been completed ie all 21 participants are agreed along with myself as the control team we can move on to parts 1,2,3.
The only thing all 21 participants have to do is complete parts 1,2 and 3.
PART 1:
I will post the available jerseys in this thread.
At this part everyone must choose a jersey.
The jerseys will mainly be in the classic design to be in keeping with this TOTC's gimmick ( most jerseys used can be found in Jesus of Nazareth's thread: PCM 2013 FORUM: GRAPHICS PAGE 9: Open his thread: scroll to retro)
This will be my 'control team' jersey:
but if anyone has a burning desire for this Marmite jersey then say so.
Participants from T.O.T.C 1 can use the jersey they used the first time round.
I will issue a start time and when that time is reached you must post in this thread which jersey you want (like T.O.T.C 1 with the rider lists) .
PART 2:
I will post a list of 21 living legend cyclists born between 1919-1935.
Once everyone has a jersey they must pick a living legend (can you guess one?). Picking a legend will give your team a special boost, such as:
André Darrigade (Born:1929)
SPRINTER LEGEND
Bonus: 1 rider + 3 sprint + 3 acceleration
Brian Robinson ( Born:1930)
THE PIONEER 1st Brit to finish TDF
Bonus: 1 rider + 1 hill + 2 stamina + 3 recovery
I will issue a start time and when that time is reached you must post in this thread which coach you want (like T.O.T.C 1 with the rider lists).
PART 3:
Once part 2 is completed I will upload the list of eligible riders.
CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBLE RIDERS:
-Born before 01/01/1980
- Range of AVG riders must be 70 or below
If you have Flecha/Voeckler with AVG 80, you must have a rider with an AVG of 60 or below
If you have Sami Sanchez with AVG 79 you must have a rider with AVG of 61 or below.
The draft will take place through using a serpentine system and will be over three parts. Make your rider lists in the knowledge that other participants may target similar/ the same riders.
For each draft you must PM me a list of 9 different riders in the following format:
Draft 1 --- You send me a list of 3 different riders with 6 substitutes.
--- The riders can have a max AVG of 85 overall.
Draft 2 --- You send me a list of 3 different riders with 6 substitutes.
--- The riders can have a max AVG of 75 overall.
Draft 3 --- You send me a list of 3 different riders with 6 substitutes.
--- The riders can have a max AVG of 70 overall.
-- Keep in mind that the AVG range of riders must be 70 and below.
Example for draft 1:
ROW 1) Sami Sanchez (Kloden) (Zubeldia)
ROW 2) Leukemans (Florencio) (Casar)
ROW 3) Fedrigo (Lastras) (Fischer)
If you don't get one of the three riders in row 1 I will choose a rider from the next row down on the submitted list. So think long about which riders you choose.
If a team sign a 80 AVG rider but afterwards another team signs the only 60 AVG rider then the 80 AVG rider is once again eligible for selection. The team who signed the 80 AVG rider will lose the rider and a replacement from the substitutes given in brackets will be sought. If a substitute cannot be found then the spot which was original filled by the 80 AVG will remain blank until the next draft.
On the third row if I'm unable to pick a rider from the three slots then that space will be filled in blank and will be filled in during the next round of the draft where there are stricter AVG restrictions.
Once everyone has their jersey, legend cyclist coach and all 9 riders they must post ONCE in the 'TOTC 2 RACE THREAD' which is not been posted yet.
The post you do will pretty much be the place to post information and goals for your squad.
So in Summary, you must:
- Pick a jersey at PART 1
- Pick a legend at PART 2
- Pick 8 riders for PART 3 and post in the other thread and that is it.

Hmm, guess I'm going to participate again
No colombian teams for me again though, they always disappoint
(Or do I remember it wrong and was I successful?)
Edit: Reading back the original thread, it seems that my post count has almost doubled since May...

Joining again too. Just read back a bit of TotC 1, just to see the team failing on stage 3. Going to do better this time hopefully.
Also, the title suggests that only old riders will participate. Hopefully not....... |

A lot of the details, which are negotiable, will be up tomorrow. But I will say that the title is a giveaway.

I'm in, if there's not enough people with priority.
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
