Spoiler This is it, I'm back with a new story, as I did not buy PCM13, I will play on PCM12,
I will set the difficulty of the game to Hard
I'm using the FCD v1.2 Database with minor edits made by myself
I hope you'll enjoy it
"Hello,
My name is Greg Laval and this is my story:
Last year, I got contacted by the representent of the French brand Carrefour, they wanted to enter in the cyclism world. At that time I was a retired DS of a small amateur team and It was my dream to finally enter the step up. With the budget we have, we will compete in the 3rd division. The sponsor goal is to start a team where good amateur riders could compete against professional one. They also want to built a strong squad with young talent coming mostly from France and Spain. Of course I will have the last word concerning recruitment and if a rider who is coming from a different country attract me I will do everything to hire him. We will be part of the PMU French Cup (more on this latter) and we will ride mostly in France, Spain and Belgium.
For the moment we already know that btwin will furnish all the cloths and accessories, Giro the helmets and Shimano the wheels."
About the team:
The team will be composed of 11 riders from 19 to 34 years old.
We will have two spanish riders under our color:
- Maximino Jimenez Vergara (32yo) comming from the region of Madrid, he is a good rider very aggresive on a bike, he always need to be in the breakaway, it's is style. I saw him riding twice last year and each time the race ended with a breakaway fight for the win. I can told you that he was always well positioned at the end of this races.
- César Martín Mozos (20yo), younger than his compatriote, the rider from the Asturias will be a desisive card in one week races, he is doing good during climb and he has the capacities of surviving a long Time Trial. I'm not saying he is the best in that discipline but when I saw him riding, he was always very concentrated during that exercise.
I wont present you all the French riders, they will do it latter in the season."

Yesterday I had a meeting with the local Press to reveal the last details about the team:
The important thing was the squad, so here it is the composition of the team for the 2013 season;

After the team presentation we talked about the sponsorship of the team. It's at that moment that I announced the list of partner we will have this year.

As I said, last week I went on a trip with boys, due yo our low budget we stayed in France.
It was very important for me because the guys never ride together and I had to create an ambiance between them. They really gets on well, the elders teach the youngers and the youngers support the elders.
I think this season, the team will be mainly see in the breakaway, they are not yet ready for mass finish and they have some difficulties to hang on in climbs.
As promised here are some pictures of the trip:
Now we must wait until the 27th of January for our first race.
See you

Here we are, the first race of the season, the first pro race for all my riders, they will struggle I think but they are fighters so it will work.
Squad:
| Ancelin Sylvain | | Bailleux Michaël | | Castan Stephane | | Dauphin Frank | | Druelle Kenny | | Jimenez Vergara Maximino |
I did not named anyone as leader because they are here to learn.
Race Report:
As I asked in the briefing, one of the guys went in the breakaway, he rode 35 km alone before two other riders joined him.
M.Lamoison (EUC) K.Inoue (BGT) and K.Druelle (CAR)
Then with 50 km to go 6 riders attacked including A.Vichot (FDJ) and R.Bardet (AGR)
After 20 km of chase, the two group were united, they were now 10 with the pack 1'30 behind.
In the last climb everyone was together, Kenny did some work for his team mates but the successives attacks made him very tired.
3 riders managed to leave the pack but they never get more the 30"
And finally everyone stayed together, the stage ended up in a mass sprint, I did not prepare the guys for such a finish so you must understand the feeling when I heard on the radio that a rider from Carrefour was coming closer to the first places.
They were not prepare to that either so they could not name him and finally what must happened happen, Stephane Castan raise his arm to the sky, he won his first pro race at the age of 31.
What an incredible finish it was, Stephane started the sprint from nowhere and he managed to won the race. I was happy for him and for the boys because it will boost their moral.
By winning this race, Stephane took the leadership of the PMU French Cup. Thanks to the amazing finish of Frank Dauphin (13th) , the team is also first in the team ranking of the PMU French Cup

@nielsboy1998: the team could not dream better start
Rider Presentation : Stephane Castan
Hello my name is Stephane Castan , I'm 31 year old and I'm riding for the Équipe Cycliste Carrefour. I have a two year contract with this team and I think that after that two years I will go back to amateur racing. For me this 2 year period is more like an experiment, by the past I won the French Amateur Championship and since that day I wanted to see what Pro Cycling look like. When Mr. Laval contacted me I understood, due to my age, that it might be the only chance I will have to enter this category. My style is the difficult sprint, I'm better if the stage was hard before, if it was completely flat I could be a good lead out man but don't count on me to win a flat stage.
Two days ago, Stephane was winning the Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise. He had a spot in the front page of a French sport newspaper:

@welker3257: Thanks
Étoile de Bessèges
Spoiler I will experiment new type of report, tell me if like it this way or if have to switch to more conventional reports
The Squad:
| Bailleux Michaël | | Broutin Richard | | Castan Stephane | | Dauphin Frank | | Decaux Eric | | Jimenez Vergara Maximino |
Stage 1
The first Stage was a flat stage and the sprinters were ready to start their season, after a very agitated race, 5 men decided to leave the pack, no riders of Carrefour were with them but we did not ride behind them neither as we were not favorites at all today. The stage ended in a mass sprint won by Danny Van Poppel (VCD). Frank Dauphin (CAR) finished the stage at the 9th position:
"I was perfectly brought to the front by Eric Decaux and then Stephane helped me to take the sprinters' wheels. Ending the stage at the 9th position is a great satisfaction"

Stage 2
Today there was Carrefour at the front thanks to Richard Broutin. He was riding with Anthony Geslin (FDJ), David Le Lay (SOJ) and Vegard Breen (TJM). In the finish, very hard due to the number of small climb, Eric Decaux tried to escape the pack but he never managed to get a significant gap. And finally the sprint was won by Cameron Meyer (OGE).
A big congratulation to Stephane, Franck and Maximino who ended respectively 6th, 7th and 10th.

Stage 03
Today was a very failed stage for the team, we did get one rider in a 10 rider breakaway and when they approached the finish, due to bad positioning none of our riders were able to grab a top 10. Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team made a great double today with Grega Bole (VCD) on the first step of the podium and Danny Van Poppel (VCD) right behind him.
Eric Decaux: " after the mass crash of yesterday we focus our ride on avoiding another one today, it's to bad because Stephane and Franck were in good shape today, tomorrow we will be more concentrated in the finish to avoid such situation."

Stage 4
Richard Broutin is very strong this days as he again went in the breakaway. His little ride ended 10 kilometers before the line. This time the boys did not disappoint me as they were all at the front protecting Franck. Eric was leading Stephane and Franck toward the finish line and Stephane launched the sprint for Franck. This time he managed to resist to the come back of his opponent and he get the second victory for the team. Congratulation to Maximino who made a great finish (3rd) and to Stephane who managed to get the 7th position after his lead out.
Franck Dauphin: " My team mates did a great job during all the stage and after such a lead out made by Stephane I could not lost the stage."

Stage 05
A very short stage (65 kilometers) where being in the breakaway would be a waste of energy, this is why I asked the boys to wait for the finish and to accelerate within the last hill. They did it perfectly as they were in a group of 25 riders 30" ahead the pack. Unfortunately they did not managed to get the stage and no gap was counted with the pack after the stage.
Christophe Le Mevel (COF) won the stage.

Stage 6
The last stage of the race was a short Time Trial (6km)
During my recruitment periode, I did not focus on Time Trial specialist, and in this stage won by Wilco Kelderman (BLA) the best rider of the team ended 36th at 32" of the winner.
Franck Dauphin: "I'm not really fan of this kind of stage, and the last climb was really a pain in the .. but I think that I 've made everything I could and I'm now rewarded with the 5th position in the GC."
