Hello everybody my name is Sir David John Brailsford and i am going to do a PCM stories, where i will show all the results from the calendar of cycling. now lets get to it.

Firstly i am going to introduce myself properly. My name is Sir David Brailsford i was born 29 February 1964 in Shardlow, Derbyshire and i am British Cycling Programme Director, British Cycling Performance Director and Sky Procycling General Manager.

I've loved Cycling all my life from about the age of 8 where i used to watch the Tour de France every year with my dad and one day hoped that i could win the Tour. I carried on with the sport and when i was 11 i got my first bike and i remember going out on it every day for all my childhood life. When i was a teen i really wanted to be in a team but because cycling wasn't very popular in those day's there weren't a local team for Kids, But i remembered my dad saying that they have a lot in France, Italy, Belgium and Spain thats why they have the best cyclists in the world. So when i was old enough and had enough money i would go over and try out for a team. So i had to do the best i could until then.

As soon i was 19 i flew out to France and managed to be part of a Amateur Team, who weren't the best i took part in many races but after 4 years i had to end the hope of never winning tour because i had a severe injury to my Shine.

I knew i still had to carry on my hope of winning the Tour but i knew it would have to be by being a staff member in a team. so i went to study for a degree in sports science and psychology at Chester College of Higher Education and then an MBA at the University of Sheffield Management School. I was first employed by British Cycling as an advisor when Lottery funding began in 1996. Then British Cycling gave me the job of Programme Director and then a year later Performance Director.

in 2009 British Company SKY announced they were having a team in 2010 and because i had such great success in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics in Cycling that i would be the man for the job. in 2010 Sky had a bad start to the UCI world tour with not a top 10 in a grand tour.

In 2011 it got worse with a 20th in the Giro but in the tour it was a very disappointing 24th. I knew it had to get better so that i could win that Tour de France i so desperately wanted. So our team put out a big statement in the Vuelta with a superb 2 and 3rd from Chris Froome and Bradley Wiggins.

We had to strengthen our squad so we brought in the best sprinter in the world Mark Cavendish plus Sergio Henao, Richie Porte and Kanstanstin Siutsou. We had some team so i knew it could only come to success. In the Giro we got two in the top 10 Rigoberto Uran and fellow country-man and new team mate Sergio Henao. Then it came to the Tour were we knew we were big favorites but we had to beat Italian great Vincenzo Nibali who skipped his home-town Grand tour the Giro for the pursuit of the Tour, We also had former champion Cadel Evans who won it the year before, so we had to do better than ever before and do what no brit has done in 98 years is win the Tour de France. We sure did with a brilliant 1/2 with Bradley Wiggins beating team-mate Chris Froome. I had done it and felt so prud of what i had achieved, But i was gready i want it again and i wont to win both over grand tour's. That didn't happen in the Vuelta with a great 4th for Chris Froome. But this year i'm sure we can win two Grand tours.
