Welcome to Beta v1.3 for the PCM World Series of Cycling! This is the first community involved test for the upcoming story/game. I have already run 2 personal beta tests with varying success. The idea is now at a stage where it can see the light of the community that will host it and make it live.
This Beta will run a "short" Calendar with a fixed team set. Currently the full version has 7 Continental Calendars which overlap, but for v1.3 there will only be one full Continental Calendar. The full version will have 3 Divisions of teams, but for v1.3 there will only be 1 Division of 20 teams.
v1.3 is designed to test the Rankings System, team and rider strengths, team and rider orientations and community participation.
Division Team Managers
As a Division Team manager you will plan that teams season. Simply this is assigning your riders to the races.
Each race must be ridden by 5 riders.
Riders will be limited to 35 days racing.
Riders cannot ride in races which take place at the same time.
The Division Teams will fight across every race for the World Series of Cycling Trophy.
[In the full version of course it will be more complicated, with multiple Divisions, promotions, relegations, stat changes and more]
Guest Team Managers
If you miss out on getting a spot with a Division Team, then you can still take part! In every race there can be Guest Teams.
Guest Teams are limited to 5, but still count in the Rankings system.
Guest Team managers will be able to choose up to 5 races to take part in, depending on availability in that race.
Guest Teams can only take part in one Cat.1 race, and must ride three Cat.3 races.
Guest Teams can be registered at any stage of the season.
Guest Teams will fight for the World Series of Cycling Bowl.
[In the full version Guest Teams will be Continent locked and fight for places in the full series, as well as the Bowl]
