Rabobank Career- Tour of Oman
Luis Leon Sanchez
Hey Guys. I have ben through one season so far. My season was alright but i performed poorly in the grand tours. My top rider was Luis Leon Sanchez and i managed 4th in Paris Roubaix with Matti Breschel. In the transfers i was quite successful. I lst boom and freire and two others. I gained Jose Rojano, Jell Vanendert, Romain Feilu, Marcel Kittel and Hayden Roulston. Other interesting transfers were frank schleck to liquigas from geupard, nibali from liquigas to geupard, basso also left liquigas, petacchi and ferrar also changed teams as wellas Hushovd. Hoping for a better season this year and starting well.
Have finished 4 stages of the Tour of Australia.
Stage1- Second in breakaway with Roulston, breakaway only won by a few seconds.
Stage2-Second in sprint with Feilu.
Stage3-Broke away with Luis Leon Sanchez and won by 20seconds. Takes leaders Jersey.
Stage4-Attacked with 9kms left on a sprinting stage with Luis Leon Sanchez. Won the stage by a few bike lengths back to Boassan Hagen who lead in the peloton ahead of Petacchi, Cavendish and Feilu.

Luis Leon Sanchez
Stage5- Had some mountains including willunga hill. Split peloton with vanendert and attacked with sanchez. Unfortunately he was caught and feilu ended up 13th in the sprint. No changes in GC. Stage won by Cancellara.
Stage6- Normal sprinting final stage. Sprint won by cavenish and sanchez came 10th.
Gc Overall:
Luis Leon Sanchez-Rabobank
Thomas de Gendt
Tony Martin
Romain feilu came 9th.
This is luis leon sanchezs 3rd tour of australia win after winning once beore 2011 and now winning in 2011 and 2012. He holds the record for the most victories.

Into the first of the three short spanish Tours. Last year came 1st with LL Sanchez. Looking to defend this.
I have the strongest climbing team by far.
-Robert Gesink
-Jose Rojano
-Jelle Vanendert
-Steven Kruiswijk
-Bauke Mollema
-Luis Leon Sanchez
-Laurens Ten Dam
And for the sprints the young german Marcel Kittel.
Stage 1-
Sprinters stage with no climbing. Stage won by Huissler with Kittel in 5th. No time losses or crashes.
Stage 2-
Sprinters stage with asmall bit of climbing. Attacked with Luis lEonSanchez with 40kms to go when the break had been caught by garmin. He survived until 3kms to go. Stage won by Huissler again. Only managed a 13th with Kittel.
Thanks to my attack by sanchez and a high pace in the peloton behind left 90 riders outside of the finishing group which was quite large as well.
A big unfortunate incident which occured only kms from the finish was a crash by favourite Alberto Contador. He had to abandone and now has a serious injury until late april.

Luis Leon Sanchez
Stage 3 Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca

With Huissler in the Yellow Jersey going into stage 3 and a stage with two small but dangerous climbs in it this was the first real contest for the GC riders. Remembering that Alberto Contador abandoned during stage 2 when he crashed with 10kms of the finish line. His injury puts him out of action till just before the Giro.

A large group of 13 riders broke away with 144kms to go and were continously caught until managing a 2 minute lead. Only big rider was Sammy Sanchez who is 3 minutes off the yellow jersey. With 102kms to go the break was caught.

Then a breakaway containing Mastre, Morkov, Sanchez Pimienta and Mayoz.E got away from the Peloton and built a large lead.

Then the work from Steven Kruiswijk began with 32kms to go Bauke Mollema was leading a 9 man group who had caught the break away and had split away from the peloton and other groups down the road. The 9 riders were: B.Mollema, L.L.Sanchez, I.Anton, M.Nieve, B.Samoilau, R.Gesink, T.De Gendt, J.Vanendert and A.Kloden.

Then with 20kms to go there was an attack by Movistar rider B.Samoilau who was 3'43 behind Huissler.

Despite the chasing from Gesink and Vanendert, Samoilau held on for the stage victory.

But the sprint from the 8man group behind and the acceleration of Luis leon Sanchez meant that the group lost no time except the time bonuses. Sanchez finished 2nd in the stage ahead of De Gendt.

The leader Huissler lost 8'57 and the GC after stage 3 had Sanchez in yellow ahead of De Gendt, with Mollema, Gesink and Vanendert in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Then Anton and Kloden in 6th and 7th. All these riders within 18seconds of Sanchez.

Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca- Stage 4

A stage which started and finished with a climb and had a nasty climb about 40kms from the finish.
With 80kms to the finish a 12 man group of: Musciarelli, Mate, Navarro Garcia, Garcia Etxegibel, Ramirez Abaja, Schwager, Cattaneo, Habeaux, Lisowijz, Birdos, Pinto and Jicobs had a lead of 6'30.

With 55kms to the finish and 9kms to the top of the second climb of the day I bought Laurens Ten Dam forward to reel in the breakaway. This is because I was planning to attack with Sanchez.

Then with 50kms to the finish the break of 12 men only had a lead of 2'49 and Jose Rajano had taken over the work from Ten Dam.

With 41kms left to go Sammy Sanchez lead the peloton to the breakaway and the 12 man break joined the 28 riders still left in the Peloton.

Then with 26kms to go a group of 14 riders remained with Euskatel doing the work for Anton. All the top 10 riders remained in the group and I had only lost 3 riders so far.

Then with only 4kms to go I attacked with Luis Leon Sanchez to attempt to gain more time on my rivals. By the 3km to go mark I had opened up a lead of 17 seconds to the 13 man chasing group.

In the end I managed to hold on for a 15second win over a nine man group which had dropped Kruiswijk, Pate, Txurruka and Albasini.

The win and time bonus extended my lead with De Gendt still in 2nd and Anton moving up to 3rd with his 2nd place.

Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca Stage 5
With 5 climbs the 156.3km stage, which is the last of the Tour, was bound to be an interesting one.

The Early chasing in the stage being done by Euskaltel, Radioshack and Movistar.

With 100kms remaining there was now an 11man group which was 4'33 ahead of the Peloton.

Then with 62kms to go and 4kms to the top of the 3rd climb the 11man group had a lead of 4'52 over the peloton. It was at this stage that the work started from Jose Rajano.

Once they had gone over the climb, thanks to the work of Rajano, there was now a 17man group chasing down the 11men who were 1'20 ahead.

Then with 47kms to the finish Euskaltel took the group up to the leaders and slowly dropped the secapees off the back.

Then with 32kms to go Robert Gesink crashed on a descent. His top5 GC hopes were gone. He did recover to finish a few minutes off the GC group.

Then an attack from Gulbert came.
This proved to be successful

He won the stage but gained no time. Luis Leon Sanchez finished in 2nd and Mikel Nieve finished 3rd.

So I won the GC and Points with Sanchez. Won the Youth with Kruiswijk and won the team classification.
(sorry forgot to export Sad)
