Greetings all! Some of you may have noticed the Pfan Cup thread which I've been working on.
Well, I decided that the game could easily be converted into a community-driven game, which I think would be much more enjoyable for everyone!
So, I'm looking for 16 volunteers to "manage" each of the teams. The game can run auto-pilot on some of the teams if I can't fill the places up, but the more the merrier!
What would I have to do?
Basically, as much as you want! As a minimum, I'd expect everyone to spend 10 minutes making up a race plan for their 8 riders, for which I'll provide you with all the necessary information and stipulations.
After that, there's end-of-season transfers, random events throughout the season, or even engage with the "media" on behalf of your team. All of those things are optional and the game can easily run without this input, but it would be nice to have as much interaction as possible!
What's the format?
Well, I just listed most of the manager interactions above. As regards the league, it's set in 2020, so there's a mixture of some familiar faces and totally new riders). The calendar has a similar structure to the WorldTour, but with some notable differences.

I don't want one of those pre-set teams - I want to make my own!
For now, it's these teams only, but if things go well, maybe you can customise your teams in the second season or so.
What's the time-scale?
If sign-ups come fast, I could probably kick the racing off as early as tommorow. If things are slow, I can work ahead on the Database for a week or so anyway.
This will never work - your stories always fail!
Well, the game can run auto-pilot without community interaction perfectly well anyway, so it's not going to disrupt things greatly if people are lazy etc... and I already raced 4 seasons of a similar, self-made league without too many problems.
I got another question...?

Not like in PCM - but around 33/34, the riders have their stats limited a bit, so that the TdF winner doesn't hang up his wheels at the end of the season. |
