[img-r]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/Logo_NRS_2_zps760f003c.png[/img-r] What's this story about/ It's neither a team nor a one-rider story. It's a Series story. While the focus will be on specific teams or riders though.
ManGame-related/ Most of you know Daily's ManGame. The initial plan was to write a story about a stagiaire on my team Oz, therefore the MG related database. For example: Anthony Giacoppo won't ride the NRS like irl, as he signed with CT-team Risa in the ManGame.
Afraid?/ Don't be. The MG-relation ain't too important for his story.
Database/ Custom ("based on" SportingNonsense's MG-DB)
Difficulty/ I will run the Series like the MG: as a reporter only
Stages/ made by me (interested in helping out? PM me)
Shirts/ made by miggi133 (huge thanks!)
MG-managers' infos/ Don't worry. This ain't about scouting the few free agents, who are both in the MG-database and in this story (like Nathan Earle). I've changed most of their stats in order to balance this NRS (like Luke Davison, who sucks in the MG, but won the NRS last year).

Thanks, TT and Jakstar Unfortunatelly I won't add Battle of the Border, due to missing DEM-files.. something that made me change some races from the real ones..
So.. first posts already updated with some a provisional schedule and informations about the rankings system. And here's a short intro to the NRS and the Victoria State RS (which ain't part of the NRS, but may provide some more fun to the story):
The Subaru National Road Series is the feature series on the Australian road racing calendar, with teams and individuals competing for national recognition.
“2012 was a year of strong growth for the Series, with record numbers of teams and riders while highlights of each race were broadcast on official broadcaster SBS,” said Sean Muir, Cycling Australia’s National Manager – Sport.
“Now the 2013 Subaru NRS includes races in every state and the ACT, delivering for the first time a true national footprint.
“When pulling the series together we are always focused on delivering increased safety and consistency and we’re very excited about a record number of events and race days on the calendar,” Mr Muir added.
Honour Roll (last 5 years)/
Year | Winner | Current team | 2012 | Luke Davison | Drapac | 2011 | Nathan Haas | Aker, ProTour (as loanee) | 2010 | Patrick Shaw | Genesys | 2009 | Will Clarke | | 2008 | David Pell | |
The key objectives of the Cycling Victoria State Road Series are:
- To raise the standard of competition amongst Victoria’s cyclists of all ability and age categories
- To provide an underpinning series of events to the National Road Series
- To provide a calendar of events which are of high interest to participants.

This seems very interesting, I must say.
I have to get used to the fact that you use the Man-game DB, but it doesn't make a difference to me, I don't know most of those Australian cyclists anyway

Don't worry. The ManGame-DB has no bigger influence here, it's only effecting some changes in the teams from real-life (like the Giacoppo-example). Most of the riders here won't be in the MG-DB anyway or have edited stats and I will introduce the most important teams and riders
Thanks both, Jesleyh, Miguel and Ian!

I am pretty sure he's a mountain/TT rider in real life so.
