I just found this photo on Facebook, which is supposed to be from the new game, and also an announcement will come tomorrow.

That's pretty much why I opened this thread.

Riders seem somewhat different, no?

After the live stream presentation on the 31th of May 2013:

Pro Cycling Manager 2013

In another great initiative, Cyanide organized a live stream presentation of PCM 2013, giving us in insight of the new game releasing at the end of June. We saw an improved Armada, an amazing Champs-Elyssée stage and an impressive Mont Ventoux stage. Here is a summary and some screenshots for you!

Menu

The menu has been given a make-over.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm02_zpsdef99581.jpg

Armada

It seems track has been added to Armada, offering the players different categories to choose from. Omnium is missing, but they might implement it before the release or in a patch.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm01_zps2eedaa33.jpg

An important matter: there is an option: link to PCM12 account. So you can transfer your cards to PCM13. Also note there will be a card limit.

You can also race stage races in Armada, selecting stages from existing stage races (for example, only race the mountain stages of the Tour), or select the Cyanide-made Fantasy Mountain Tour. You will not, however, be able to create your own stages for this.

Teams

Selecting a team has improved a lot. We have a visual on the team's strength, take a look here in the top right corner.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm03_zps6b91c4f0.jpg

Feel like a team's not good enough for you? You can edit the teams in game!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm06_zps3a66d4de.jpg

Or you can just create your own team, with sponsor jerseys ready made!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm18_zpse613a84e.jpg

Stage Race

If you're riding a stage race, you will see an improved fitness system, including energy consumption per day and freshness!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm04_zps0975b45c.jpg

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm08_zps7f7e9881.jpg

World Championships

In single race mode, you can race the World Championships with national teams. No more skipping in career mode!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm05_zpsbff35de7.jpg

Career/Manager Mode

If you're looking to manage a team, this will be your office! Look at the current races or what races are coming up shortly! And, of course, in this day and age, don't forget you read your mails daily!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm07_zpsfbeb681b.jpg

Managing a Cycling team is all about planning. Divide your players into up to 16 groups!

[center]i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm15_zps6c14d00f.jpg

Then plan out the entire season in advance. But don't forget your sponsor objectives and the riders' personal objectives!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm16_zps83e09bd7.jpg

Once you know where you're sending everyone, it's time for their fitness schedule. Only this year, it's updated automatically, depending on the riders' goals! The sponsor objectives are now better translated to the team's strength. You won't have to win the Tour with Accent Jobs! (Not that I don't think you can!)

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm17_zps19adac99.jpg

Sponsor goals can be negotiated. You get a list of what the sponsor wants you to do. Say you don't feel like winning the Tour, you can tell him: "I'll ride top 5". The sponsor will lessen the budget a bit, though. But if you tell him: 'don't worry, instead of top 10, I'll win the Giro', the budget goes up again! Don't forget your calculator!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm19_zps9bdcc7db.jpg

And every rider has his own hopes and dreams. They have primary and secondary goals for every season. Again, you can negotiate quite freely it seems. Also notice how the fitness schedule changes automatically depending on his goals.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm20_zps286bfa44.jpg

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm21_zpsb4d7a254.jpg

If you want to make a .1 race a goal to a great rider, he won't like it, though, illustrated here.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm22_zps6821b630.jpg

Gameplay

And now we've come to the end of the rainbow: the gameplay itself! Paris is a magical place, and it deserves the finest gameplay possible! My apologies for the quality, but the streaming + print screen wasn't the best combination visually.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm23_zps2b1836bb.jpg

Loading screen for the tour...

That brown block right is the foot of the Eifel Tower.

Under Lourdes!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm12_zps16243486.jpg

Champs-Elyssée feels much more real, going around the Arc de Triomphe.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm13_zps01ac1016.jpg

Cavendish winning in green, what else?

During the race, you can access the map-function!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm24_zpseff360bc.jpg

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/pcm25_zpse9e58ef3.jpg

The riders' animation has been improved greatly, as we have seen in a video before. The AI also seems much improved. Mountain stages have a better feeling. On the Mont Ventoux, the entire peloton ripped up into tiny pieces. There is also a button: analyse behaviour, which seems to be in accordance with the r3 button on the console-game.

Database makers will have a blast, that's for sure. In this limited stream we've seen legends like Vroome, Waggons, Covendish, Bolson Hogen and Thomas Buunen!

There's nothing left for me to say but: thanks to Cyanide for the stream and this great game. But next time, let someone else play the game in the stream, because he was terrible with water bottles!

We should have a thread to discuss PCM13 here indeed though, not sure if this (PCM12) is the right place Wink

Seems they have acquired a lot more licenses this year. At least I haven't been able to spot any "wrong" sponsors - even RadioShack seems to be correct...

Would be great if they had all licences... But they probably miss a few, but they're not showing them on the screenshots...
That's at least what I would do Wink

Screenshot looks quite nice though...

They have for sure not the Garmin license, look under the arm of the Saxobank Guy, the letter after the A is an M so I think it's Gamin.
Further I can't imagine that they got the RadioShack license. Wink

I could not care less about license. There are always good DBs around anyway. (Thank you pcmdaily team and others).

They should improve the gameplay, not the graphics, in my opinion.

Hear hear!
I'd take a crappy graphics game over a crappy gameplay game any day.
Take a look at Minecraft, for example, do the graphics bother anyone?

It looks like it says RadioShack all right on the shorts of the first screenshot Wink

When that is said I agree that it doesn't really matter much, but we could hope that it is an expression that the game is doing good, which hopefully could show in other areas of the game as well...
