Cycling Team Jo Piels:
Cycling Team Jo Piels is been a Continental Team for quite a few years. But there is coming change to the team. The new team leader Roel Eijkman wants to take the team to a higher level. The Pro Continental or even better the Pro Tour. But to get to that goal his team needs to train hard. And improve every week. Roel has especially chose for Jo Piels because it is a young team with good riders. His intention? Make it a world class team!
Today he is gonna unveil his team. He has only one squad leader what is normal in such a small team. But he has plans to transfer another big rider and a young sprinter. Will he contract them. You will hear it on the next news flash of Jo Piels News.
Oh and by the way here is the team:
Leader
Tom Vermeer
Tom is one of the few who can actually climb a little bit. He is gonna be the front men of my squad. With only 27 years he is the oldest rider of my team along with Frank Niewold.
Sprinter
Johim Ariesen
Johim is a young rider who has a lot of potential on sprinting. In a few years when he is at his best he can sprint with the biggest favorites. With his 24 years he is a little bit to old to become the best sprinter in the peloton. But he can come far I promise you.
Time Trial
Jasper Hamelink
Jasper is a young TT specialist and with his 22 years he has all the time to develop to a new World Champion Time Trial.
Full Squad:
Next up interviews with the new riders who I hope to sign. So join me next time,
Roel |

Hello All,
Today I am introducing two new riders to the team.
The first one is only 18 years old and one of my new sprinters. It is Caleb Ewan.
- Hee Caleb nice to have you here in the Netherlands. Do you like it here?
* Hello Roel, yes I like it here. Only a bit cold . And I am glad that you wanted to sign me.
- Yes you were one of my riders who I wanted because you are an addition to the team. With you I hope to get top 3 in sprints. And your lead out and opponent is gonna be Johim Ariesen.
* Oh well, I like it that I gonna have a lead out. But why is he my opponent anyway we work together right?
- Yes, but in the team your the two sprinters fighting for the honor.
* Oh that way, no didn't want to look at it that way. He is my sprint buddy no opponent.
- Alright if you like it that way.......... Anyway thanks for coming and will see you on the training tomorrow.
* Thanks Roel, and definitely will be there.
So you heard Caleb he is glad to be on the team and is looking forward to work together with Johim Ariesen.
My second signing is another leader and young talent, Alfredo Balloni.
- Hello Alfredo, glad you made it. Hope your gonna like it here in the Netherlands.
* Hello Roel, I am definitely glad that I made it and I look forward to our cooperation.
- Well that is nice, me too. Your gonna be one of the squad leaders of this year along with Tom Vermeer. Your happy about that?
* Of course I am happy to hear this. That I can be squad leader is awesome. And along with Tom Vermeer even better. He is a cyclist with experience and he can learn me stuff as squad leader.
- You are looking interested, and you can't wait to start training with your new team mates. Or am I wrong now?
* No your definitely not, can't wait to start tomorrow.
- Alright I will see you tomorrow at the first training with Jo Piels.
* See you tomorrow, bye.
Well you can see that I made two enormous good signings with Caleb and Alfredo. Will see you later this day with the race calender of Januari and the preparation of the New Zealand Cycle Classic.

I like the team choice, it's seldom that you see such a weak team in a story. Nice additions as well, a sign that the team opens up for international riders. Good luck!

I like the idea, Jo Piels seems a good choice.
Do you run 2 stories at a time now btw?
@Nunekazz Yeah, Brenes is good. Maybe a bit too good for this team. Also, 2 new signings are enough IMO, and Brenes almost has exact the same stats as Balloni has...

Alright thanks for the advice and immediately send him a contract offer. And Jesleyh yes I am running two story's at the same time. My strategy is one day work on this story and the next day on the other. Always alternating. |

Hello,
Today Cycling Team Jo Piels have signed a new rider. His name is Gregory Brenes and you can also put him in the row squad leader.
- Gregory thank you that you can be here and accepted my offer.
* I am glad that I can be here because you know didn't ride a WT race for the last two years and that Jo Piels then wanted to sign me that is great.
- What are your expectations for this season, Gregory?
* I don't have a lot of expectations know, but I definitely want to grow into the team. And be a part of the dream to become a big team.
- Thank you Gregory for your time and I will see you tomorrow on the training.
* Alright see you tomorrow.
Well this was my last signing for this season as the second season starts I will maybe hunt for some new young riders. But that is not an issue now. Will see you in New Zealand.
Cheers,
Roel |

Good luck with your story. I have been thinking of doing something like you but with Cyclingteam De Rijke instead I'm still busy with my Vacansoleil carreer in pcm2011 though.
It will be very interesting to see a team riding in the minor races like yours. What difficuly are you going to play on? |

Even though its a bit late, best of luck. BTW, the TT wont cost you much time, in my career the rider who came last lost 20secs.
The team is looking strong, and I am sure it will be able to reach ContiPro

@ShortsNL alright that sounds like fun. And i play on extreme difficulty.
@rabomar definitely want to hold out longer
@selwink glad to hear that and gonna try my best to get a good GC and not losing much on the TT will help me a lot. |
