PCMDaily2013db with new calendar
TankNL
I've been busy editing the PCMDaily2013db to get the new (current) calendar in. This also means that all the programs of the top riders had to be edited and that there should be new fitness schedules along with it.

This has all been finished and I’m looking for volunteers to play or simulate trough a season and post the .cdb file at 23 October and on 02 January of 2014. And post findings along with it. Up until now the progress has been logged in this thread;
https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthr...wstart=440

But it realized that It might not be the best place to continue, in order to separate the response to the altered 2013 database and not the original database.

So any volunteers, to help me out with some testing?

This is the latest version (v3)

I'll simulate through a season and post the results. Sounds like some great work Smile

What exactly did you change? Because i have changed the LeaderType column on my own and it works very well. In your db this column seems untouched.

The calendar is new. And the leader type and specialization is managed through the game. The only thing I did is alter the progam and program_info in order to get the top riders in the correct races (for example the cobble specialist in the "Ronde van Vlaanderen" because last year that race was in april and now in march, so with the old program they wouldn't race it). And I also edited the default fitness schedules.

Here the test results from an own career, totally simulated. There are some strange results in the TdF, R.Costa and S.Chavanel where in a breakaway and got 20 minutes on the pack, and the next S.Chavanel did it again and took 10 minutes, Hench the 4th and 5th place.

In the first picture you can see my edited db and in the second picture the ingame career db. As you see, the LeaderType column stays the same, but LeaderSpecification changes. So it's only possible to change LeaderType. I got really got results with just changing this column. Riders are showing up at races the should and are in top form.

Example: Gesink 2. at Giro, 15. at Tour and not showing up at Vuelta.

Yes, but the leader type, can only be set for the first season. The specialization is always done by the game. According to the leader_type and the specialization the game selects the races form program_info. That's what I've been editing. Also the form is influenced by the fitness_program. Those are also edited in by me.

Here are the results from fickman's savegame

Spoiler

@Ulrich Ulriksen; could you use your excel file to add the time differences in the reports I have created from the .cdb of fickman? Or send me the formula's via email. I haven't come around to create it myself and knowing that you already have something, make me less motivated to try Grin

Noticed that too... hoping for more tests, to see if there is a pattern.

Might actually also be handy if somebody could post the results from a savegame with the original PCMDaily2013 database.

I'm totally stunned. Seems like in all the save-games the World Tour teams aren't invited, or at least, forced to enter. In mine and finkman's save-game these are only 15 teams in the Vuelta. Very odd... anybody suggestions?

I found out that it is completely random for some teams to participate or to be forced to ride the Vuelta.
For example Omega Pharma-Quickstep sometimes rides the Vuelta sometimes not. However when I tested Euskaltel they ride everytime the Vuelta and are forced to ride it.
I think that it has to do something with the calendar of the teams maybe but just a guess.

I think the STA_stage file was messed up. Or at least I hope it was the problem. Here is a new v4, can you test if this works?

never-mind... still the same problem... will have to look harder.

The problem is in the STA_stage. I unpacked the original PCMDaily2013 db, opened the STA_stagefile and add the new calendar (via a vertical look-up in Excel), and saved it. And again immediately the problem shows itself.

Tried the same some minutes ago but it seems you were faster.Smile
The failure is in the sta_stage for sure.

yes, confirmed, I even edited the sta_stage so that everything is in the correct date, except the Vuelta, and then every works fine. Only when I move the vuelta back 7 days, than the funniness starts Angry

I think it's hardcoded or a bug by Cyanide. So it seems we can't do a thingSad

TankNL
Seems that way. v4 is attached with the Vuelta in last years date and it works. moving it to the new date will cause the unforced pro-tour teams. If anybody could take a shot in moving the Vuelta (race 18) in STA_stage to the new correct date and still get it to work, than that would be great!
