Last year the first rumour was about Lotto being interested in Vanmarcke. This year, Lotto breaks the ice again, with Het Nieuwsblad reporting that they seek to get Tony Gallopin.

Cosponsor Belisol stated that they are interested in Gallopin, who is tipped to become the man to go head to head with Sagan in the future. There are probably multiple teams interested in him, but Lotto have one advantage: Gallopin's girlfriend and French champion Marion Rousse is already riding for Lotto's women team. |

Who isn't interested in Gallopin?
Lotto would do well to attract him, though! |

I don't think Lotto-Belisol has the budget to attract Gallopin, unless they let go some other riders. They have only 2 new riders for 2013, a neoprof (Tim Wellens) from Lotto's youth team and a fairly unknown domestic (Dirk Bellemaekers) from Landbouwkrediet. I don't think they currently have enough money to attract big names.
And Lotto-Belisol is currently focusing on upcoming Belgian talent, they hope they can get the "Belgian Gallopin".
PS. When I played PCM 2012 with Lotto-Belisol I had Gallopin high on my list too.

That's why they added ''Belisol''. They can't use their budget this year, but will put some of it to use this upcoming season.
Gallopin would be a great scoop for them, would be a nice signing. But it's long way to goo . Last year began with Vanmarcke rumours to Lotto and ended with him saying Lotto is absolutely shambles of a team ( or at least his agent ).

Matej Mohorič ( Junior World Champion ) to Cannondale before the next season.
He didn't even ride any U23 races yet

Given the history that a lot of former Junior WCs have (ie - win the WC then go absolutely nowhere), that is a huge risk. That said, I do like the way that Cannondale are just amassing an army of young talent.

Radiocorsa reports Astana are after Talansky for 2014. Rabottini has also impressed Sky ( well who wouldn't be impressed with him :L ) who are supposedly already in talks with him. Logical move there to strengthen the Italian core at Sky.

As developing team, you can't get much better than Sky indeed. He should learn well and in few years probbly leave Sky to lead at his prime in other team. It will be good move for both parties if this happens. Still a long way though.

Of course he can, but this time GC win, not the stage.

Argos-Shimano signs a new rider, Yan Dong Xing. He's their second Chinese rider. |

And why? He has absolutely zero results. 10 CQ points in 7 years.

Because he's chinese. Ethnic quota from the sponsor.

Not my point, I just thought there should be quite some better Chinese riders available, or they should wait until there is one.
Seems like they came up with the idea yesterday and have to execute it today.
