ouch....
2 german PT teams (plus wiesenhof) searching for sponsors.
For a sponsor, 2008 is the best year to get into cycling
a lot of good riders w/o a contract

That hasn't exactly made my day
All them riders will be searching for a team quickly, unless someone steps in quickly.

now the interesting bit:
all the riders "involved in the fight against doping". where will they go? that'll be interesting to see
I feel like punching Bruyneel, Riis, etc in the face

HOLD YOUR HORSES
the team's not going anywhere. they'll get a new sponsor. they'll continue racing even without a sponsor as "Team High Road" (High Road Sports owns the team)

now I think I'm the only one in this country who is interested in cycling???
we are destroying this sport piece by piece....first the world champs in stuttgart, then the exits of gerolsteiner, wiesenhof and telekom.... |

Holczer of Gerolsteiner said recently he has a surprise in store when it comes to having a sponsor

In my opinion there were enough surprises this year^^
But I think there isn't another sponsor who is interested in giving so much budget for a cycling team as telekom |

Will wins still count, like say Cavendish won the 2nd stage of the Giro, would that still go down as a win in his palmares and points for him in the ProTour rankings?

I just didn't know if a rider that rides for a team with no sponsor, could gain points, like would that team still get points in the team ranking?

Well bummer. Then again, i cant blame T-Mobile for abandoning the ship, it was clear as day that it would happen sooner or later.
