I created that topic to know more about what they are becoming nowadays. A rider whose contract is not extented at the end of it is forced to search for a new squad. But sometimes, they don't.
Well, can you believe that some prolific riders have no team (at least, at pro level) in 2013 ? To be more comprehensible, there are some examples :
- Francesco Ginanni
- Branislau Samoilau
- Daniele Colli
- Aaron Kemps
- Aitor Galdos
- Serafin Martinez
- Linus Gerdemann
- Laszlo Bodrogi
- Luca Ascani
They all have scored quite an amount of points in the CQ ranking and they could still be prolific at high level. Isn't that interesting to discuss about that ? And, in addition, you can bring some names of free agents.

You forgot the most prolific one, Linus Gerdemann.

I don't know if I'm allowed to double-post, but we can also quote good climber Morris Possoni and 2010 Vuelta polka-dot jersey during a few days SerafÃn Martinez. |

Daniele Colli has no team???? O.o Wtf, he seems pretty good for the Conti level.
EDIT: David Boily, Canadian talent. Has no team, even though he was about to sign for Cannondale.

Posthuma retired because he didn't find a team. He didn't have enough CQ points. That's also bad, because he was a good rider.

I also noticed in a lower level that in the Jamis-Sutter Home squad, the Borrajo brothers and José Fernando Antognafrom Argentina claimed their dream idol was Argentine superstar Juan José Haedo. Now that he is in the team for 2013, they had to leave.
I suppose it's for financial concerns more than sportive ones. That's a real shame. |

Hoste and Casper have retired. Surely all the dissolved teams have an amount of riders out of contract but it is better to point the most noticeable riders. |

David Blanco and Laszlo Bodrogi are two decent riders who doesn't seem to have found a team (at least not Continental level according to CQ).

Aaron Kemps formerly at Champion System is free as well while Caja Rural versatile rider, Aitor Galdos, hasn't been reconducted.

I'm pretty sure Danny D is finished by now and there are better, younger prospects on the market.
