Well, it's been a while since my Ian Bibby story died due to computer problems and I feel like I might be just about ready to get back into a story. Here goes:
This will be a "your riders" story with a twist. Read the rules below before entering.
Rules
Basics
Name
Age (preferably under 23 as this is a development squad!)
Nationality (if you are from a country with multiple regions in the DB, be specific with it)
Type of rider (TT, climber, sprinter etc)
Attributes
This is a development team and so nobody will be able to win any WT races. Your attributes will therefore be done by me based on your age and rider specialisation. However, you may pick two attributes that you specifically want to have but the limit is 68.
Eg. you might be a sprinter so you specifically tell me that you want FL 68 and SP 68, or you might want high stamina and resistance. You could also say you want a low figure, ie a pure sprinter might want 50 MO and 55 HIL. Don't be greedy!!
Extras
Considering that I am doing the rest of the attributes, you might want to tell me a bit about your riding style, how good you are in the hills or in TT's etc. Does your rider have good downhill, stamina, recovery etc. The attributes that I give can be over 68 if I feel it's realistic but it won't be much over 68 and it won't be many attributes either. I'm just saying this so nobody thinks I'm being unfair by giving somebody 70 in something. Ideally, everyone will have something over 68, but it does depend on your age and rider description, so be imaginative!
Again, as I say, please don't be greedy, you can't have 68 in everything, ideally a weakness would make it more realistic.
Finally, (I think !) the potentials will all be set to the same so don't worry about that, and no, it won't be 8

Sounds cool
Of course it will all depend on the stats used as to how the story will work.
Also will you add any more UK races that arn't in db?

We already have a major custom rider story (Spidertech - Cervélo), what about a one rider story with the Sky development team with YOU as a team leader, and for the rest real riders?

I think that could be an interesting idea. I could imagine something like: You start with 14-16 riders, all made by members of the forum. If a rider reaches a certain level (like 74 or 75 avr or something, he automatically leaves towards Sky and another rider, newly created by another member from the forum would take his place. That way, by and by, more and more riders would advance to World Tour. Or maybe you have something completely different in mind

Manx Missile - I would like to add more British races but I don't know how to find them or add them.
fcancellara- I didn't realise that, my bad, but in theory they should be very different. That story has top riders capable of winning big races whereas this team would be youngsters with pretty average stats at the start.
cunego- exactly what I was thinking along the lines of, to be honest. Basically I would only offer a rider a new contract if he hadn't had an offer from a bigger team by September-ish. |

I agree that many British races should be added to increase the realism. You should find enough of them in the stage database and the stage maker threads, and you find an explanation how to add them here. You might also want to talk to sutty, he has included several British races for his new story.

As cunego says check the stage db
there is a full Premier Calendar and Tour Series, and 2 ToB variants (quite a bit of which i made )

Thats what you need to open it in the stage editor. Not needed to play the stage in game

Okay then, here goes. If you want to be in the team, here are the rules:

Any questions, feel free to ask. It will be open until I have around fifteen riders.

Name: Johan Hammarling
Age: 21
Nationality: Swedish
Type of Rider: Sprinter
Attributes: CB 68 SP68
Extras: Terrible at mountains, but has enough power to survive hills and cobbles. Of course he is not a good time trialer or prologer as he lacks the technial ability. Oh, and hes grew up in cyclocross so can sownhill very well. (everything else up to you)
Cousin of Karl and Nephew of Mikel

Thanks for that, because you were so quick and because you made a lot of the British races that I just downloaded and put in the DB, I may be a bit more generous with your attributes. |

Name: Diego Zabala
Nationality: Colombian
Age: 22
Type of rider: Stage rider
Attributes: Mountain 68, Recovery 68
Extras: Raised in Colombia but far from the mountains in a coast city, just flat races for years and TT efforts, in the last 5 years I've been living at 2600 meters over the sea level, in Bogotá, and had to practice every day in the mountains and hills around the city. Terrible at cobble and not a big fan of prologues. 1,70 mts, 60 kg (height and weight) Also, terrible speaking english

Name: Jey Gilbert
Nationality: Belgian
Age: 20
Type of rider: Hilly and Cobbled classics.
Attributes:
Hills 68 , Cobblestones 68
Extras:
Like my older brother, Philippe, i prefer the classics races, i'm too bad in long races than more of one week. I don't like the long Time Trials, but i can do good prologues. I like attack many times in a race i'm a good fighter and I have good strength in my legs to endure lengthy classic. Also, you could call me "the belgian-kamikaze" because in dangerous downhills, I look like a hawk, also, my bike looks like a motorcycle when accelerated and i usually, in a small group, I can beat them at the sprint..
European mountains are really awesome, but for me, the HC and 1st Cat. mountains are too much, however in a explosive mountain, i can show all my potencial.

First of all, it's great that you're returning to the story-section. I was a major fan of the Ian Bibby story, my very first post of my profile was at that story!
Basics
Name: Ricardo Bracco
Age: 22
Nationality Italy: Sicily
Type of rider: Climber
Attributes
Well, as a climber it may be nice to have 68 Climbing, and I'd also like 68 Sprinting, he has a very strong sprint uphill!
Extras
Ricardo is a pure climber. Racing for the General Classification is almost impossible as his time trialing is at a very low level. He trains only at climbing. He's very strong and can finish with a mean sprint. Cobblestones aren't his favorite discipline, he can handle them long enough to help with the relay in the first part of the race.
