yes, the SP story will still continue but I will do this one next to it
yep, Tenax it is, your typical Italian continental team with talented Italians, some South American and some Eastern Europeans and perhaps Spaniards to finish it off...
The squad for this year which, according to the manager, should already be able to promote if the riders give it their all
Our team doesnt have a real leader and this proves that we have a squad with depth which can perform well in the mountains, the hills and perhaps even the sprints in the smaller races
The Goals (which were made by me if I remember correctly ):
-> Win the Trofeo Matteoti
-> End in the top 5 in the GP Lugano
-> End in the top 5 in the GP Costa Degli Etruschi
-> Win the GP Triberg Schwarzwald
-> End in the top 3 in the Tour de Slovenie
Well I didnt make em easy, but it should be possible
Up next, the GP Costa Degli Etruschi...first race and our first goal!

First race, First goal. However the only chance for us to get a top 5 here is to get into a break and make sure it makes it all the way because Ferrari, Machado and Cucinotta will never be able to beat the likes of McEwen, Benatti, Napolitano and Sacchi. And so after lots of attacking it is Corsini who gets in a break of...4 riders. This will never make it and so our new young TT talent Malori spurts away as he pulls a few others along with him. Then on the first hill some climbers such as Codol, Duarte, Mori, De La Fuente and Sabido also join the group and the pack strangely doesnt mind that there is a very strong group up front which exists out of 15 riders!
The break, Malori does the dirty work as Corsini sits in the back
The break continues to increase its lead and its not a surprise that the break would hold on and make it. However 20 kms from the finish the first attacks come but no one gets away and so we get a sprint but unfortuantely Corsini is positioned badly unlike Malori who is almost up front. When Malori sees Corsini in the back of the group he panics and starts the sprint early. I can't believe what I'm seeing as I start swearing in the team car but then it seems that everyone is just as tired as Malori and he looks kinda strong, he still leads but now everyone comes closer and now Failli takes him over. Failli looks safe but will Malori hang on for a top 5?
Failli wins as the 19 year old Malori completes our 1st objective by ending 2nd!

Well after a quick restart I managed to sign Ulissi but Perez wants to wait and join me when the transferseason opens
Murro and Podgorny are our leaders here with Murro perhaps being the best of them. Strangely all the strong teams work together to make sure no one gets away, not even riders who wont do any harm at all...with 70 kms to go a somewhat dangerous group gets away but then Piemontesi, Dematteis, Machado and Salerno do something about that and take them in. On the climb Murro counterattacks the likes of Ivanov, Casar and Moncoutie but they get caught at the top and a group of 46 riders descends towards the finish line. However on the last flat kms many riders still attack, these riders include Garzelli, Carrara, Simoni, Calzati, Vanendert, Nibali, Moncoutie and...Murro! Murro counterattacks Garzelli when there are already 5 guys up front. However Garzelli continues to attack and when he reaches the final km he is up front with Carrara, Vanendert, Nibali and the rest behind him.
Murro leads the group of chasers as Garzelli has a decent lead
Garzelli is almost there but Carrara has a strong sprint, meanwhile in the back Nibali cracks causing Vanendert and the group to pass him and in the sprint, when Murro is just about to take down Vanendert for the 3rd place he also meets the man with the hammer and falls back to end 7th which is still decent if you look at the other names he had to fight against. Meanwhile the battle up front had already been decided
Its too little too late for Carrara as Garzelli holds on to the victory!

Well apparently Jesus Perez will leave us for Cinelli Endeka, we also found 2 young Colombians who will be racing for us next year...we will introduce them another time
(again I forgot to take a photo of our lineup ops: )
But again we have a team build around Murro, also this race gives him (Murro) the chance to prepare himself for the GP Lugano where we need a top 5 placement. Of course the competition will be different there but still we can get an indication of what to expect from Murro in a field that is quite strong. Well everything begins great, thanks to the rain several rider fall during each lap and in the first lap its already Murro's turn
Murro gets back on his bike and is good to go
Thanks to a slow pace in the pack Murro is back in no time, as expected the real attacks come on the final climb and Murro knows he will have to jump along, he does so but unfortunately he cant reach the first group which exists out of 5 riders
Left: Rebellin and Piepoli lead the front group, Right: Murro in pursuit with Moncoutie and Eibegger
The 5 up front have a gap that Moncoutie, Murro and Eibegger cant close down with the 3 of them and up front they sprint for the victory. Sprinter Marzoli cracks when Tonti attacks but a decisive attack from Piepoli is good enough for the win. Murro wins the battle in the back ending 6th
Piepoli makes a jump past Tonti for the win!

Indeed, now lets see how he'll do in this race, a top 5 looks difficult but personally I would already be satisfied if he could end up in the top 10 today
Also in other news, while preparing himself for the Giro D'Italia, Gilberto Simoni 'forgot' to tell the UCI where he was. He will be out till mid June and so Gibo can forget about the Giro
Well to make a long story short...we didnt get the top 5. At first Bosisio joined a break of 12 but the favs werent going to be fooled by such a break. On the decisive hill Murro again attacked with all the favs but he just couldnt reach them. With an amazing comeback he almost manages to end 6th but he has to be pleased with an 8th place. Up front it is Rebellin who takes the win and crosses the finish on his one...
Rebellin shows everyone why the organization gave him this racenumber
Thanks to his 8th place the sponsors are now more satisfied than before as their confidence in me was average before the race and now they are happy

Again, due to our lack of a real sprinter, attacking is the way to win for us, also if we want to get a Giro wildcard we really have to start winning some races this month otherwise Acqua e Sapone, Barloworld and Tinkoff will beat us easily. This time Bosisio attacks and even though the group of 12 never gets a big lead they do get over the hill with a 1 minute lead. However Bosisio is on the verge of cracking am im already fearing the sprint where he will likely meet the man with the hammer...and indeed he does but apparently 8 others have met the same man aswell as he doesnt fall back but also doesnt really gain anything and so he only ends 8th. 1 guy didnt meet the man with the hammer and that was Hugo Sabido who easily took the win because of that
Left: The break makes it over the hill, Right: While everyone suffers, Sabido wins

Yet again we have to attack if we want to leave here with some points and perhaps a win. This time Cuccinotta is the man as he is a bit too weak for the real sprints he could do great in a break but since he is all alone with Kiryenka it is Bosisio who attacks in the back to provide him with a teammate. Then the break exists out of 11 riders and their lead increases...but also decreases and with 1 km to go the pack is close while Bosisio gets ready to launch Cuccinotta towards a win
Left: Everyone works as Bosisio takes a drink, Right: Bosisio leads out for Cuccinotta...will it work?
However the pack is close, and Kiryenka who is in Cuccinotta's wheel can also sprint...normally I would post the pic of the winner now but Cor Vos and his motor unfortunately met the man with the hammer and so it is still unknown who won and I will leave you with that, will a sprinter win, another one from the break or will Tenax be victorious? I dont have a picture of it but the result will come soon..
To come when the Italy vs. Scotland game is finished

thanks guys
The competition here isnt as strong as in the previous races and it could be perfectly suited for Machado who has a decent sprint and can climb a bit but then we do need to get rid of some real sprinters such as Di Nucci, Signeno, Fanelli and Colletta. And so we put everyone except Machado and Pietropolli up front to do some damage and with 1 lap to go this is what is left over
Lots of green men in this 18 man group
All the sprinters are gone except for Colleta but he cant be frsh anymore as he is hanging in the back and the same counts for Loria. However Sobal could still be a threat but nevertheless we keep working but unfortunately our original self made train drops to the back and so Machado quickly takes Loria's wheel as he is positioned behind the favs but a bit to the back and so he starts the sprint immediatly in an attempt to surprise them and so he does...he takes the lead and sprinters such as Loria and Colletta cant get closer and it seems that the uphill sprint is really in is favour, his lead increases even more as Machado shows some real power here, Sobal is the only one to get even close but apart from that Machado was by far the best today and he can thank his teammates alot for the work they did today
Honorio Machado is victorious!
