I vote for AG2R. It would be nice to see French story, and they have René Mandri

I vote Gerolsteiner, because we need a Geroslteiner story, plus you have riders with a great future: Kohl, Fothen, Haussler, Schumacher, and riders that can give you victories right now: Rebellin, Wegmann, Forster

The result so far
AG2R 1
Euskaltel-Euskadi 2
Gerolsteiner 4
Seems like Gerolsteiner is the most popular, the vote will close in 2 hours and 12 minutes |

that would certainly be interesting to see, but we already have a Euskatel story and we don't have any about Gerolsteiner
Btw, i like how you write Euskatel -> "Euskaletel"

simple typo
great to see another story from you Alex
tough choice this time though, i think either Euskatel or AG2R, so...Euskatel
(i wanted to choose AG2R but i'm not too sure how a story with them would go)

Sorry for bringing this even further off track...
But isn't it actually spelled "Euskaltel" - with two l's? |

Gerolsteiner
Hello
I'm the newly appointed manager for the Gerolsteiner cycling team and after a short presentation you will allowed to ask your own questions. I chose to take this job because I feel like it's a nice oppurtinity to challenge myself. The team is a solid mix of younger and older and all of them contribut in some way. We have high hopes for the season and our aim is to achive at least a top 5 place in the pro tour rankings at the end of the year. To manage that we have deviced a plan to get the most out of our top riders. The following riders will have leader or key positions in this years pro tour races.
Davide Rebellin:
The only person ever having won the treble, Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone and Liegé-Bastonge-Liegé in the same year Davide Rebellin is the undisputed leader of our classic team. After a few less excellent years then his amazing 2004 he is now determined to have some great results again. He will ride the following pro tour program if everything goes according to plan:
Paris-Nice
Vuelta al Pais Vasco
Amstel Gold Race ( Goal )
Fleche Wallone ( Goal )
Liegé-Bastogne-Liegé ( Goal )
Giro d'Italia (Goal )
Clasica Ceclista San Sebastian ( Goal )
GP Plouay
Zuri Metzgete
Giro di Lombardia ( Goal )
He will aim for a repeat of his treble in 2004 and also claim a stage win in Giro d'Italia + a win in Giro di Lombardia.
Stefan Schumacher:
After an impressive 2006 the talented german has made the decision to take yet another step this year with trying to win an Ardennes classic. Co-leader of the classic team he will get a free role from helping Davide. This will be his program:
Tirreno-Adriatico
Amstel Gold Race ( Goal )
Fleche Wallone ( Goal )
Liegé-Bastogne-Liegé ( Goal )
Tour de France ( Goal )
Eneco tour
Tour de Pologne ( Goal )
Giro di Lombardia
Like Rebellin he will aim for the Ardennes, after some rest he will try and get a stage win in Tour de France hilly stages and help our leader and sprinter in the other stages. The last goal is to defend his win from Tour de Pologne.
Markus Fothen:
Another talented german, last year he surprised many with a good reuslt in Tour de France. This year he hopes in reaching an even better position with a top 5 place in the GC and the youth jersey. His program:
Tour de Romandie
Tour de Suisse
Tour de France ( Goal )
Deutschland Tour ( Goal )
He also aim for a good reuslt in his home tour as you can see.
Bernhard Kohl:
Last year third in Dauphine Libere, Kohl is a very good climber and will this year aim for something much bigger. To get top 10 in both Giro d'Italia and Vuelta Espana. It's some though goals for the young rider, but I think he has a good chance of making it with the right help. His program:
Tour de Romandie
Giro d'Italia ( Goal )
Dauphine Libere
Vuelta Espana ( Goal )
He will also rider two smaller tours as you can see to prepare him a little bit.
Robert Förster:
Stgae wins in Giro d'Italia and Vuelta Espana last year, this sprinter will now try something harder. To win a stage in Tour de France.
Paris-Nice
Tour de Romandie
Volta a Catalunya
Dauphine Libere
Tour de France ( Goal )
Deutschland Tour
Vuelta Espana
Paris-Tours
He will have a quite busy year as you can see, and we have high hopes for his results in all of them. |
