i didn't find the correct thread or subforum for this, but I have a few questions:
1: are there sports who are totally clean? except for sports like Darts, etc...
2: Is football (soccer) clean? Are players tested afer each match?
3: Is there doping in sports who don't require physical action like Horse riding or F1? I mean where you have to control something.
4: Is there doping for horses in horse riding and are they tested?
5: Is GenDoping already active?
6: Is it true that the use of growth-hormones indeed improving balance? I've read somewhere that that is one of Messi's secrets.

Before there is a huge controversy, about the F1 thing. I know F1 is quite heavy, but i mean. If there's doping in F1 is it other doping than in Athletics or Cycling? If there's uberhaupt doping in F1.

because F1 is a mechanical sport I doubt that doping would be really helpfull, I'm sure that they are tested after races.
never heard about a doping case in F1
Spoiler well except the fact that Red Bull is mixing there drink with the fuel

Yes, there is.. Ireland won a goald medal in horse riding in the 2004 olympics which got taken away because the horse was doped...
And from this year on, Horses are tested like cyclists! (After races AND new out of competition tests)
(boy, I got to stop reading these rando news in sports blogs...)
EDIT: as for f1, there is no real doping in F1... Though the use of illegal parts (Red Bull had a mechanism wich kept the car at the same level though the use of gas in the suspension) is the closest you will come to Doping...

I don't know all the answers, but I'll try to answer some of them...
1: Yeah, I read a story about a sport with a great testing system etc... I think it was Tennis. So yes, a clean sport is possible...
2: No, football is not clean. Although I'm sure it's cleaner than cycling. There are tests sometimes I think, but not after each match...
4: Yes, there is dope for horses, not sure about tests etc...
6: Maybe they do slightly increase balance, but seriously, It's not Messi's secret, his secret it talent

Yeah in Darts, you'd probably want Dope that helps your concentration etc. Im sure stuff like that exists.
If its possible to cheat somehow, I bet its happened in every sport that its possible to, because frankly people are too competitive, and there is a lot of money for grabs.

Thanks for all the answers.
And about Messi, off course he has great talent. But it could influence hes balance.
I think it's terryfying to think there are also drugs who are concentration improving used in sports...

Messi is/was (someone to back me up if he still is) "legally" doping by using growth Hormones...

I don't agree on the fact growth hormones are considered legal. I mean you could raise embryos all there life on growth hormones, train them in basketball and you have a whole team 2,10m+. Shouldn't be allowed imo.
Maybe that's too SF

Was... He doesn't use it anymore, it was during his teenage years...
But hey, if he didn't use them he would be max. 1.35m(seriously, not making that up)
Oh, and I read it would have health concequences otherwise. (Not sure... Was it his back?)

Don't growth hormones have health consequences?

1. Darts and Snooker are probably clean. As is Chess and Shooting
2. Oh dear god no. In fact its probably the most doped sport!
3. The horses are probably doped, the riders i'm not sure. Its not really any issue in those sports however.
4. I believe there is some form of 'doping'. But im also fairly sure the Horses undergo some sort of tests at various points.
5. GenDoping? As in genetic doping? In some areas yes. But not widely used yet. I reckon it will be in 5 years, maybe 10.
6. Growth-hormones are widely used in soccer. Never heard of it relating to balance. But i wouldn't be surprised

I know that Darts players now have to have water on teh sage instead of beer because it mae their hand shake less meaning they could throw better. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some that still did drink backstage before a match.
snooker has problems with matchfixing instead of doping.
