Even if Di Luca hadnt of been disqualified after his suspension, Evans would have won by 5 points.
Big well done to Luxembourg for finishing 5th in the Nations standings, despite having just 3 decent riders!

A lot of teams, like Rabo, only work for 1 leader each race. the Pro Tour ranking, is based on a system were the best 3 riders in 1 race of a team make up the ranking of the day.
A team that finishes 7th, 9th and 15th earns more points then a team that finishes 1st, 30th and 35th in the same stage. While it could be that the teammates did all the hard work for the man that finished 1st. So, the team worked very hard, delivered the winner, but yet they get less points then a team that did nothing and had their best man at place 7.
Do you get it? The system is wrong |

That is exactly what I had in mind.. if rider comes 1st. then he get best individual points..when other team riders cross the line in 7th..9th..15th. Wich is best team? Ofcorse 2nd, option..teams wich can keep more then one rider close to top. This is about best team. |

No, that's illogical. Because if a team finishes 7th, 9th and 11th, they are all individualists and in fact are not working as a team
If a whole team works for 1 leader, then they are a team.
So, you just got owned by saying that. I hoped you would say that so I could come with this reply B)

B) sry, you have to reply again.. You has your point..best team is wich can work for he's leader high has possible. Most of teams has leader even French teams ...
If team work for one man..and this one win's..that means they are worked for one man..who gets max individual points..meaning that he is best individual rider if we look at history book..there is no mark of team who helped him so high..if other team get 3 of he's rider inside let say top 15..for me they are best team. For you opinion..they are broken team wich can't work good enough for one man. I think we cant settle this argument tonight..and should wait third opinion tomorrow. |

Ofcourse not, in many mountain stages, the workers let go after their leader starts the attack, to save energy for the next day.
It's not like the US (Epo)stal days anymore were all doped helpers could finish top 15 |

Well IMO Ruben's right, if a team has 3 riders in the top 15, that means there are 3 very good riders in the same shirt. Look at this year'S TDF. If Rasmussen would have finished it, he would have pretty surely won it, because all Rabobank riders went flat out for him, Boogerd, MENCHOV, Dekker, etc. And they weren't in the top 15. Disco had 3 in the top 10, but they had 2 or 3 leaders, who didn't cooperate, so they would have missed the TEAM's goal, to win TDF. They were lucky with the Rasmussen case. And of course I would be happier if Caisse wins the Team Rankings in the PT
And I don't think that the Schleck brothers are only "decent" riders

Now US Postal was a doped team??? You really dont know what you say. US Postal was the best team i've ever seen in this sport. And in the Bruynnel "era" the only rider that was found doped it was Heras.

Don't start this debate again It has no sense. You can't convince each other.
