New season, new sponsors.
But the most important thing is that the team will still be based in Sweden.
This is the 3rd season for our team and after a bad first season we climb a bit higher in the rankings the 2nd season and now for the 3rd season we hope to climb a bit higher again.
ANFreeman is the great designer who have made our great jersey for the 2013 season, and it looks like this ;

Transfer rumours around Swedbank - PEAB´s HQ
A new season means of course a new transferperiod and transferperiod means rumours.
After last years quite succesfull transferperiod where we managed to buy our biggest priority, Thomas Lövkvist there is talk about new possible signings.
As last year there is rumours about a great sprinter to the team and this year as last year Michael Van Stayen is a dream signing for the boss of Swedbank - PEAB.
But the rumors says that Swedbank do not stare blindly at him and are looking for other possible great sprinters to sign.
And the management have admitted they always look for new talents and this year they hope too find some great young talens in Sweden.
There is a few rumors about riders leaving the team.
The two BelgiansKevin Ista and Michiel Van Aelbroeck have told they want to leave for a Belgian team, the one named first have som interested from HTC Nieuwsblad on him.
Ulugbek Galiev have told the Management he is interested to ride for the new Kazakh team Cisco Cycling Team, the future will show if the Kazakh team has the same interest as him.
Also Marcel Wyss have been named in the same sentence as the Swiss protour team UBS - La Pierre.
And Francesco Chicchi have some interest to leave the team if any other team want him, as he did already last year.

Goals announced
The goals for the coming season is clear, below is the list with 2013 seasons goals.
PCT | | | European Tour Team Standing | | | | Top 5 | HC | | | Criterium Hainleite | | | | Top 5 | C1 | | | Rogaland GP | | | | Win | C1 | | | Tallinn - Tartu Grand Prix | | | | Win | C1 | | | Scandinavia Open Road Race | | | | Top 5 |
The team manager gives the following words in explanation of selected goals;
Already last year we had a big success in Criterium Hainleite when Marcel Wyss took a surprising win, with that in mind we hope to get atleast a top 5 place this season.
We have decided two winning goals, both of them suits best for a sprinter, and that sprinter may not be in our team right now. Those two races are Rogaland GP and Tallinn - Tartu GP.
Ofcourse we also pick our "homerace" Scandinavian Open Road Race, this is a hilly course who most likly will be won by a punchy type rider.
Here we hope for a top 5 place.
Our last goal is a team goal, a top 5 place in the European Tour races.

I figured out he may be a interested rider for your team.
He would definitely fit better in Cisco then in Swedbank - PEAB |

The Swedish press has leaked unofficial pictures of a group Swedbank - PEAB riders possibly testing the upcoming season's equipment? The managment of the team are however not willing to deny or confirm if there is any truth in this pictures.

We can now gladly welcome some new riders for our team.
Our first signing is a young guy from Sweden who can develop into a good sprinter/leadoutman. A warm welcome to Christian Bertilsson.
We did a belgianrider trade with Simply Redbull, Timothy Vangheel and Kevin Ista left us and Jérome Giaux came to our team. He will be a leadoutman in our sprinttrain and may also get his own chances to sprint for a win.
Our 3rd signing increasing our Beneluxtouch.
We made a deal with Project 1t4i where Michel Kreder came to us and money went the other way. As it seems right now Kreder will be our mainsprinter in 2013.
We´re working on some other deals to but nothing else is confirmed yet! |

It´s been some more action around Swedbank - PEAB and new riders.
We can glady announce that our biggest target for this transfer season is signed, Jonas Ahlstrand a talented guy that we both hope and think will develop into a really good sprinter.
Our 2nd target was another talented guy from Sweden, Tobias Ludvigsson who we hope will develop to a rider that can ride great uphill.
We have also signed a guy from Denmark, Kasper Kloostergard. Kasper will be a great helper for us in the flat terrain also a capable helper in the hills.
We will also say thank you to Marcel Wyss who left our team after 2 seasons with us. He left in a swap deal to Wiggle Professional Cycling Team and Ben Hermans went the other way and he will be a co-leader and great helper for mostly Johnny Hoogerland in the hillier terrain.
We have also made a loanswap with Team B&O including Nikola Aistrup will ride one year for them and get his last experience and Magnus Cort Nielsen will ride for our team and get his first experience.
That´s all for now, thanks! |

We are done with our transfers for this season and below you will find a little team presentation.
We have become more nationalized after this transfer season it´s only inloaned Stancu who´s not from Scandinavia or Benelux area in our team now.
Thomas Lövkvist - 270.000
Our abosolute leader in mountainous races, he is decent in TT´s so we hope he can do some good results in stage races with climbs and some km´s of TT in it.
Johnny Hoogerland - 125.000
Johnny will be our leader in the hillyraces, he´s also capable of climbing in the mountains. Last year he drove in Vesuvio-Accumalux in PT we hope he learnt a lot there and can achieve great things this year for us.
Ben Hermans - 100.000
Ben will be co-leader with Hoogerland in the hillyraces, he will have is own chances to glance to. He´s decent in TT´s therefor we think he can make good results in stage races with TT´s and hillystages.
Theo Eltink - 120.000
Theo will be a great helper to Lövkvist in the mountains, he may also be a leader in a few races himself.
Michel Kreder - 115.000
Michel Kreder came to us from Project 1t4i and will be our mainsprinter this season.
Jonas Bjelkmark - 70.000
Jonas will as Theo be a helper for Lövkvist in the mountains but compared to Theo he´s much better in TT´s and therefore he will get his chances to lead the team more often then Theo.
Jeromé Giaux - 95.000
Jeromé competed for Simply Red Bull former Jayco Red bull last season but after a deal with them Timothy Vangheel and Kevin Ista left us and Jeromé came to us, Jeromé will be a good leadout man for Kreder in the sprints but will also sprint for his own glory sometimes.
Johan Lindgren - 50.000
Johan is a very loyal rider who accepts his helper role to 100%, he´s our best TT´s rider and a decent helper both on the flat terrain and in the hills.
Kenny Van Hummel - 55.000
Kenny will help Kreder and Giuax a lot in the sprints, he´s a strong rider that will have some power left when it comes to set up Kreder/Giaux in a good position before the sprint.
Kasper Kloostergaard - 80.000
Kasper will be an important helper this year, he´s a powerhouse on the flat terrain and will help our sprinters/leadoutmans a lot. He´s also decent in hills and will help our leaders there to.
Jos Pronk - 50.000
Another dutch rider in our team that will play a important role to do some work in the flat terrain to reel in the breakaways.
Thor Hushovd - 115.000
Thor started the season very good last year and took some stagewins but he´s getting older and a bit slower so this year he will focus on learning the younger guys how to behave in the sprints and set up them in a good position before the real action starts.
Jonas Decouttere - 50.000
One of few riders who are capable to ride on cobblestones but he will mostly work as a helper on flat stages.
Anders Lund - 50.000
Copy what is written above...
Mattias Westling - 50.000
Mattias is a Swedish guy who have his strongest skills in sprinting, but he will mostly be a leadout man in this team.
Petter Renäng - 50.000
Petter is a good helper on the flatstages and decent in TT´s.
Glenn Likhaya - 50.000
Young talented puncher from Sweden
Jonas Ahlstrand - 540.000
Got the biggest paychech on the team but it´s not because of his current skills, he´s a very talented sprint who we think can develop in to one of the best.
Tobias Ludvigsson - 75.000
Tobias is also a talented guy from Sweden but he will be better mountains and hills, he may also develop well in TT´s and therefor be a great GC rider.
Christian Bertilsson - 50.000
Another young guy from Sweden, we hope he can develop to a great leadout man for ex. Ahlstrand.
Havard Blikra - 50.000
Our 2nd Norwegian got best time infront him, he will in the future be a good helper mainly in the mountains.
Magnus Cort Nielsen - 35.000
Loaned from Team B&O.
A young guy who will be a good rider for Team B&O in some years, he will have is strenght in mountain and hills.
George Alexandre Stancu - 50.000
Loaned from Project 1t4i
He will be a good mountain helper for Project 1t4i in the future, and will get his first experience in our team.
Nikola Aistrup - 25.000
On loan at Team B&O
He will ride for the danish team this season and we hope he will develop a bit more to be a good helper in flat stages/sprints in the future.

You added some nice pieces to your team. Kreder should have an excellent sprint train. |

Yeah, Hoogerland and Hermans certainly help take this slowly improving team to the next level.
Kreder's a decent sprinter who wasn't going to do anything at protour level so should be interesting to see how well he does at this level.
Ahlstrand was a wee bit too pricey, but that is going to be a familiar story across teams for the very best talents.
