Problem with eternal DB

I have tried to install this database all evening now.
I have uninstalled everything, whole game, deleting all files. But when i use winrar to unzip and put it into Pro Cycling Manager folder i get the message:
unexpected end of archive
and that alpsfields2.dds is corrupt file.
When i get into the game i can not choose any database except the standard.
Can anyone help me?

put the .cdb file in
D:/Documents and Settings/[your name]/My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2007
and it will be available

only cdb file i have exceptofficial is databasetemp.cdb...but when i move this where you say it still not work |

well i personally haven't downloaded this db, but my guess is that the db is named officialrelease.cdb and it has overwritten the old one
have you tried opening the officialrelease.cdb to have a look see if it has changed?

I actually use flashget, and it told me before that i had downloaded 100%, but when i look into flashget now, it say i only downloaded 56%....that can be the reason why i not have any cdb file......i will try wonload it now for third time this evening and see what will happen :-(

Happened to me with another DB. Worked after I downloaded it again later on, so should work that way

i made it work........but seems to be many bugs in this DB.
Many nationalities are with out flag. First time i clicked in calendar on Tour of Siam my game crashed.........i never experinced problems with other databases..so i hink the maker need lock himself into a room for at least one month more :-))))
But good work wih so much data. I just hope the bugs will be made sometime in near future.......

its all inside the download. maybe you had a corupt download cause when u dl it from here there are no missing files or missing country flags. cuz when it already says unexpected end of file i bet you miss files cuz of the dl.

now i downloaded it 2 times, but it is supposed that the database need to make a complete new folder in the game names eternal db v2....and put all the stage files there? I have a feeling that the mistake is something with this... |

i don't really understand the way you put your problem, but i'll have a go
Is there a new folder called eternal db v2 in the root folder?
if so, move everything that is inside it, into the root folder itself
basically just look for the new CM_textures, Gui, CM_stages... folders and move them into to root folder (C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager 2007)

uninstall the game
Go to Start -> Run and type in %appdata%. In that folder, you will find "Pro Cycling Manager 2007". Delete it.
Go to "My Documents". If there's a Pro Cycling Manager-folder, delete it.
Go to Program Files. If there's a CYanide folder, delete it.
re-install, the game, then the latest patch, then the db, hopefully it should work then

the rar files are packed just like the structure of the game. so when u open the rar file and he asks you where to extract it just extract it to c:\program files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager 2007.
If asked if you should overwrite and replace existing files click on yes. i think you extracted it all wrong or so. i tested it after i uploaded it and all was there. and i installed it on a fresh formatted root hdd to ensure to notice if anything is missing. so far nothing should be missing in this dl. you need to extract it correct. if you think you have fuxxed to much arround then uninstall pcm, reinstall it and then install the eternal db over a clean instal. normaly this is absolutly not necessary but i dunno what u did to your pcm root folder after all the excessive extractions you have gone through. |

it is still the same..winrar and winzip are putting all into folder e:/program files/cyanide/procyclingmanager200/eternalv2 folder even i am not asking it to put it into a folder called eternal v2......
Im giving up. I reinstalled 6 times now...........if anyone else experience this problem use this thread.

I downloaded PCM Spain DB and it worked first time........
Annoying. I liked the idea about having a japan team heading for victory in asian races.
