The Tour de Faso is the biggest race remaining in the calendar, and it might just prove deceptively difficult. A few of the stages have tough uphill finishes, the roads are massively exposed to the wind, there is a short TTT, the famous cobbled stage 9, and of course, always the opportunity for a break to spoil it.
Or, more likely, we have 8 flat stages, where the same sprinters dominate, the TTT is 4km and makes no difference, whole the cobbled stage creates to gaps, and the aforementioned wind has a quite month.
It's up to you which scenario you expect, but with promotion on the line for several teams, one good result here could be the difference between going up to the Pro Tour, or another agonising season in the CT.

A couple of admin notes, firstly, you may notice that there are three control teams. Unfortunately it seems pcm requires 10 teams in the TTT, so we added two 1 rider teams to get through that. Secondly, the pace of the game has been incredibly fast the past few weeks, I'll do my best to keep that up, but I can't promise that I'll manage two stages every day. Hopefully the race won't take over a week though.

At first: No need to hurry
Very interesting startlist.
First, because it means more points than I hoped for just because we have only 48 starters.
Second, because we have very clear favourites.
Barring any breakaway surprises, which are more likely than ever here I guess, and echelons, which will possibly be rare because of the small field, we should see:
Mohs dominating the sprints.
Blythe dominating the GC.
Rapha winning the TTT if Stannard takes a turn.
On the other hand, that means for us:
Croket finally in reach of the podium when in a good position.
Having a serious go at 2 Top10 places in GC, possibly higher when there is a group finishing behind Blythe/Nolf/Albert/Maes.

Gotta love Proximus. A Mongolian for their team leader here.
Hoping for stage wins in the TTT and Cobbles and for Blythe to be up there in the sprints. Good chance to take 2nd in the teams standings

And we reach my biggest planning blunder - not sending Vanspeybrouck.
Hoping for some decent sprint results from Van Loocke and 2 riders in the top 5 of GC.

Should have sent Vantomme here. He might have performed better here than in every other race...
On the other hand he would never be able to beat Mohs.

And here we have race I couldn´t wait for whole season!! Mohs seems to be way fastest in small start list, but without proper lead-out it can be quite tough to dominate in sprints. I´m wondering how things will go in cobble stage, last year Blythe secured overall win here, whilst other cobblers stayed passive.
Go go go, boys in green!

Argh, here's where Croket's bad acceleration prevents him from winning this.
But well, a great leadout and a good sprint, and I won't complain about 2nd place a lot.

4th is okay but I'm hoping for some podiums before the end of the race.

Rapha being incredibly lucky to have Stannard all the way, but we're in touch, and third in this TT is still very good.
Now all-in for Croket, this is your chance to earn a contract, Lars!

That was dominant from Rapha, Blythe may well have this won now. |

Its a great position, but no way will Blythe be still in the race lead by the time we get to the cobbled stage - so he'll have work to do there.
Theres crashes to dodge, and breakaways to catch, aswell

And Blythe has to overcome his own poor performances on the cobbles this year too

First CT win of the season for Blythe. In a sprint
Though he was always without doubt the leader of Rapha here

Again very satisfying result, although it was too close this time to really feel good. Damn.
Bakari losing time is very valuable for us, as I was completely unsure how competitive he would be.
Feeling slightly sorry for Pokerstars again, Mohs throws away valuable racing days.
50 seconds to the BPost lot and 60 to Nolf already, I'd love if the cobbled stage somehow ends up closer than it looks like!
