Spoiler I know my previous storys have not been failures, it has mostly been lack of motivation, now i got alot of free time on my hands, and find playing PCM fun again, so please give me another chance
The Joy Of Racing Again - Who am i?
My name is Jan Ullrich, I have been absent from the sport I loved since 2006. The Fuentes case destroyed my entire pro career. I suffered from depressions and was burnt out. Last years I started doing some charity rides, and I finally found the love I had for cycling returning to me. I had discussions with former colleagues of me, and the German cycling federation, about starting a German cycling team. After a year of planning everything was in place, my return to this sport could finally be done.
My concern is how the German media will react, after all it’s a return of Telekom, the “shady” team in cycling, also since we got certain riders with a shady background. I just hope it will not be a witch hunt like it was before. My main goal is to ride the Tour De France again, the race I once won. It would make a returning athletes dream complete.

About the team.
And now I think it’s time to talk about the team. The team consists of many former riders that I was on the same team with. There are some riders that are not German here also.
Vinokourov decided to bring two riders with him, Kashechkin, and Fofonov. These three riders will be extremely valuable in the big races to support me. Piepoli chose to make a return to support me in my future races. Kloden is also on the team, he will also be a helper for me, as well as the leader in the Giro if we get invited.

Interview with Jan Ullrich
CN: How does it feel to be back in the pro peloton with your own team?
JU: It feels great, I am looking forward to it extremely much, we got a great teams that will hopefully do well in the Grand Tours and Classic, as we have riders like Kolobnev and Wegmann for the classics, also we have Klöden for the Grand Tours, thus if we get invited.
CN: What are your personal ambitions this year?
JU: Just to participate in the Tour De France for a last time, it was my favorite race as a pro, and I won it once before. I know I am getting old, and my ambitions are lowered than they were before, I hope for a stage win in the Tour. Also I am targeting Criterium International, it suites my qualities as a racer.
CN: What can you tell us about the team? Obviously there are a lot of “ex” dopers in there, how do you think the German media will react.
JU: Honestly I am not caring about the German media anymore, I have answered all their questions the last six years, and I have nothing more to add than we are a clean team looking to get promoted to the world tour within three years.
CN: Will the team still be running after your retirement?
JU: Yes it will, I want the team to promote German cycling, and make give the youngsters a chance to develop, we got some local talents on board, plus Rick Zabel. I am sure he will feel right as home, as Erik is our sprint coach in Telekom.
CN: What will be your first race?
JU: Tour de san Louis, I got no personal ambitions in the race, I just want to spin the legs, enjoy the scenery and have some fun, hopefully Rick can collect some points for the team in the sprints.
CN: Last question, what do you think about the case of Lance Armstrong since you raced against him all these years?
JU: We all know what he did, I got nothing more to add to this.
CN: Thanks for your time.
JU: No problem.

Stage 1 profile:
Good news, we got invited to Paris Nice!
Vinokourov managed to slip into the morning break with V.Buts, P.Longo Borghini and F.Ferrari.
The break was caught with 10km to go, I wanted to help Rick today, so I was guiding them towards the front in the last 8km, Burghard was going to lead him out.
Unfortunately it was not going to be Ricks day, Modolo took a nice victory, Rick ended up 14th |

@Ian Butler.
Thanks Voigt will be a good helper, and will also have a few races where he will be the leader. Btw, i love your story, looking forward to what Eric can do in the Giro
@HaRe.
Thank you
Profile stage 2.
The plan for today’s stage was to protect Eric and set him up for a sprint, and get Burghardt in the break.
After numerous attempts Burghardt managed to slip into the Break with Hoogerland, Moyana and Vanotti.
The break was caught with 37km to go.
K.Fernández took a beautiful victory. Zabel was way behind…
Overall, a bad day for us.

Jan Ullrich: Todays goal is to finish within the top 30-20, hopfully it will be a small group sprinting for victory, then I might be able to hang on, and do well in the time trial tomorrow, teams ambitions today is to send Fofonov in the break We have Wegman and Vinokourov for the finish.
San Luis Stage 3:
Break of the day was M.Bodnar, D.Fofonov and McCartney.
At the first mountain sprint Fofonov gained 6 points, currently leading the K.O.M. Unfortunately at the second mountain sprint, Fofonov was not strong enough. He will not wear the Climbers jersey tomorrow.
J.Serpa, Pantano, Favilli and Galdos bridged the gap to the break with 21.6k’s to go.But the breakaway was caught with 11k’s remaning.
Carlos Betancur took a beautiful win. Ullrich finished safe in the front group

Unfortunately due to a crash on my computer, got a blue screen, my report for the TT was gone… It might have been the best report I have ever done. But at least I managed to export the results.
Jan got 11th in the TT, better than I had expected due to his poor form. He sits 14th overall in the GC now, 45 seconds behind Casar.

Last chance to do something about the GC today. With Ulle’s form I don’t think it’s likely, we will just have to try to protect the 14th place and hope for the best.
Profile:
The break today contained M.Bono[LAM], G.Ermeti[AND], M.Bodnar[LIQ] and our loyal team mate D. Fofonov.
With 12kms remaining E.Favilli[FAR], M.De Maar[UHC], Carrara[VCD] and P.Lastra[MOV] bridged up to the breakaway, we were now leading with two minutes on the bunch, this will most likely hold until the finish.
M.Bodnar[LIQ] did immediately attack from the group when they joined us, he quickly gained 36 seconds with 10k’s remaing.
Fofonov went after Bodnar with 4.7k’s remaing, the gap was currently 1 minute, to Bodnar. Meanwhile Di Luca and Tankink gained a gap on the peloton, while Burghardt was setting the pace for Ullrich to bring them back.
With 3k’s to go, K.Seeldrayers[AST], R.Kiserlovski[AST], Diluca[ASA], Tankink[RAB], and 3 of our telekom men, Burghardt, Wegmann and…. Ullrich! Gained a gap with 19 seconds over the peloton.
[Ullrich still looks good on the bike.]
The Ullrich group was caught by the peloton, so was Bodnar and Fofonov, and Kiserlovski won the sprint.
Kiserlovski got a gap of 15 seconds, and moved up to 3rd overall. Behind Kiserlovski there was a group of 14 riders. They got a gap of 50 seconds to the group of Ullrich, unfortunately Ullrich now sits at the 21th place overall, not a good day for us. But that had to be expected.
