Just making sure that everyone is on the same page when someone uses this smiley:
So, when you use it means:
1- Sticking your tongue out
2- "pfft"
3- Not sure how to desribe this but kinda like smiling with you mouth wide open. Sort of like this:
4- Something else (please specify)
5-Smiling while laughing at someone or at yourself
6- Indicating a joke

I put a couple more options up, but it won't let me change the poll, so if you like one of these vote just post your vote

It's the Belorussian symbol/sign for public restrooms/toilets.
It was eleven more than necessary.

I like this description, but out of the 18 people that have voted so far people haven't chosen the same thing, so I think that it can be confusing what people really mean when they post it. I guess there's nothing we can do about it though |

Colon - capital P indicates sort of a joke in my opinion: saying something that is not neccesarily true, and is used that the sentence is meant in a humorous way.
For me this comes mostly from the time I used MSN and Windows Messenger as a young teen, where the emoticon connected to Colon - capital P was visibly smiling while sticking his tongue out in a 'cheeky' way.
I can see how people on this forum think of the icon as an indicator for sarcasm, as it looks less cheery and more spiteful. For me though, the simple combination of a colon and a capital P will never have that meaning. |

To me the roll one is sarcasm, the :-P is just joking or slight joking sarcasm or funny. I just use it for everything.

I use it in a joking way or like when you are trying to one up someone... I guess also if you what you are saying seems mean to someone you put it at the end to indicate your joking

Really? You use the eyeroll to indicate "hardcore" sarcasm? I always used it when i was frustrated with something or someone but not neccasarily angry.
Mabye I need to create a thread about this smiley
