This is my first attempt at making stages, so this will be a very basic one without much else than roads. I hope you care about the race and not the graphics
feedback is appreciated
Stage 1: Bourg d'Oisans - Alpe d'Huez, 15.5 km. (ITT)
https://www.2share...logue.html
https://www.2share...logue.html
This year's Tour start in an unorthodox way: A time trial up the Alpe d'Huez. A sprinter's nightmare, a climber's wet dream. The winner today can be counted on to be in yellow at the Champs Elysees.
Stage 2: Vizille - Chambery, 155 km
https://www.2share...tage1.html
https://www.2share...tage1.html
The main difficulty of the day, the climb to Chamrousses, won't be welcomed by most riders after yesterday's stage. Though the stage is short and the big climb comes early, the stage is far from easy, with the last climb 15 km of downhill away from the finish. Expect a smaller group fighting for the win in Chambery, the home of AG2R.
Stage 3: Aix-les-Bains - Chalon-sur-Saone, 207.5 km
https://www.2share...tage3.html
https://www.2share...tage3.html
The riders leave the Alps for now on a relatively easy day of the Tour. It will be interesting to see how much the sprinters' helpers have left in the tank after two tough stages. If they are cooked, expect the french baroudeurs to attack them like dogs.
Stage 4: Le Creusot - Mezilles, 203.5 km
https://www.2share...tage4.html
https://www.2share...tage4.html
The race continues with a stage through rolling terrain between Paris and the Alps. The stage is relatively flat, but the terrain might kill some of the sprinters' legs. Expect a sprinter like Sagan to be up there.
Stage 5: Gien - Provins, 195 km
https://www.2share...tage5.html
https://www.2share...tage5.html
If the sprinters haven't had enough chances yet, this will definitely be one that is tailored to them. Anything else would be a huge surprise.
Stage 6: Troyes - Sedan, 205 km
https://www.2share...tage6.html
https://www.2share...tage6.html
The Tour heads North, almost to the border of Belgium. The finale is in the foothills of the Ardennes, so expect an interesting showdown in the final kilometres before the finish in Sedan.
Stage 7: Sedan - Saint-Avold, 189.5 km
https://www.2share...tage7.html
https://www.2share...tage7.html
Stage 8: Sarreguemines - Offenburg, 181.5 km
https://www.2share...e__8_.html
After a bumpy first half of the stage, the riders emerge on the pan-flat Rhein plains across the border in Germany. This is one for the pure sprinters.
Stage 9: Offenburg - Strasbourg - Offenburg (TTT), 47 km
https://www.2share...e__9_.html
The TTT returns to the Tour and this will be a real test for the teams of the GC candidates. This is a stage where the Tour can easily be lost.
Stage 10: Offenburg - Montbeliard
https://www.2share...__10_.html
The riders leave Germany and head south-west through gently rising terrain into the industrial town of Montbeliard. The last part of the stage contains some hills, but will they keep the sprinters out of contention? Also, watch out for the aggressive baroudeurs on a stage like this!
Stage 11: Poligny - Bellegarde-Sur-Valserine
https://www.2share...__11_.html
The Tour continues to surprise. This stage through the Jura mountains is probably not the stage which will give the most time differences, but it is guaranteed to be an offensive and exiting stage, since the finish is at the bottom of the final climb of the day.
Stage 12: Albertville - Col de Galibier, 165 km
https://www.2share...__12_.html
The queen stage of this year's Alps with the Madeleine, the Croix de Fer and, finally, the Galibier. This stage will really show who will be the contenders for the yellow jersey in Paris.
Stage 13: Embrun - Nice, 206.5 km
https://www.2share...__13_.html
The peloton leaves the Alps with one climb above 2000 m: Le Cayolle. However, the finish is over 100 km of downhill away, and if the sprinters are hungry and fresh enough the run-in on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice will be perfect for them.
Stage 14: Monaco - Saint-Tropez, 179.78 km
https://www.2share...__14_.html
The race continues down the most beautiful coastline in the world, the Cote d'Azur, an area the Tour way too often oversees. The parcours takes the riders through some of the most scenic and famous cities in Europe, like Monaco, Nice and Cannes, with the finish in Saint-Tropez. Expect the sprinters to be at their best between the yachts.
Stage 15: Hyeres - Arles, 182 km
https://www.2share...__15_.html
The riders continue towards the Pyrenees with this mostly flat stage into Arles. Again, this is one for the fast men.
Stage 16: Aigues-Mortes - Villefloure, 208 km
https://www.2share...__16_.html
The riders head for the Pyrenees. The first part of the stage is along the coast and prone to peloton-splitting winds. The tough finish is ideal for a GC rider who has lost time in the Alps and who knows that he has to take chances..
Stage 17: Saint-Lary - Pla d'Adet, 205 km
https://www.2share...__18_.html
Undoubtedly the queen stage of the Tour. 9 of the toughest pyreneean cols in one stage. Expect lots of riders not making the time limit and the strongest of the strongest to be first to the top.
Stage 18: Escot - Piau Engaly

The .dem files doesn't cover Sweden, and I think not all of Norway. Therefore it's not possible to create those stages.

What areas of Scandinavia are covered? If it's only southern Norway, I'll do it there.
Are the areas around Hønefoss and Drammen covered?

As we say in France, "c'est en forgeant qu'on devient forgeron" : try, try and try and you'll succeed |
