finally time for Gerrans (is he even racing?) to show his face and do something
my money would be on a Greenedge win |

Fight for green is over i believe, Greipel has to win all the intermediates in the remaining two stages and both finishes and Sagan score almost 0 so i cannot see this happening, only if Sagan crashes...
This stage has breakaway written all over it, or Sagan vs. Greipel again if the peloton will catch the escapees.

He was in a couple of breakaways in the late first week / early second, but nothing succesfull
Hoping that EBH will get the change to get into a breakaway today, but he himself said to the Norwegian media yesterday:
"We will probably be riding for Cavendish tomorrow"

So with Boasson Hagen, Vanendert and Albasini all big sprinter teams are in the group. So less chance for a sprint between Greipel, Sagan, Cavendish, Goss etc. today? |

Popovych (RNT), Arashiro (EUC), Millar (GRS), Fouchard (COF), Boasson Hagen (SKY), Hansen (LTB), Vanendert (LTB), Boeckmans (VCD), Paolini (KAT), Roy (FDJ), Costa (MOV), Kroon (STB), Nuyens (STB), Vinokourov (AST), Albasini (OGE) and Gretsch (ARG)
Seems like we have our BOTD. EBH presumably the strongest there.

Lotto with two there, but surely not standing a bigger chance to win than any other in the break. Liquigas not represented, OGE stand a fair chance with Albasini.
If I were one of the DS of these teams, I'd rather chase than giving EBH the chance to win so easily, but that could just be my nationalistic view
Not easy to pull such a break back, though.

EBH will have a hard time with so many strong puncheurs there. They will attack him one by one if they have any sense.

Yes, but he also has the best sprint out of them all. They can't allow EBH to come in with them - if they want to win. So they should attack him and tire him out
This should be similar to Tour de Suiise. Oss was the strangest sprinter but all break guys attacked and made Oss chase - at the end Oss came last in sprint
Add to this additional two weeks of labour and this task for EBH get's tougher

Yeah, was totally surprised back then that Oss chased them down rather easily just to go boom big time when the sprint started.
