hello.
in some stages the fps continuosly drops form 70 to 15 or less then come back to 70 throughout all the stage without reason. I decreased graphics settings to minimum but the problem persists (i normally play with "medium" settings). I have the problem always for the same stages.
Any suggestions on how to fix? thx

You could try and move the camera so that it looks straight down on the riders. Does it help? |

no, always same lag
it really seems to be caused by some stages, because i always have the same problem with same stage. No probelms with TDF (lot of riders) but impossible to play the "Giro della Calabria" (2.1) for example; which has sensibly less riders. |

Normally it is not the amount of riders but the environment. I had experienced lag when there where much trees. |

There are also graphical settings on the right side. What did you set there?
But I guess you should contact the official support. |

I am experiencing this too. What graphics card are you on? Mine is a NVIDIA 630M.

I find the game to be poorly optimized. While it looks quite good (compared to earlier games), it's not exactly a graphical powerhouse of a game. I'm running twin Radeon 7970 MSI Lightenings and I still get occasional slowdown around city centers and the like. It's not the video cards.
It was eleven more than necessary.

No, but this specific issue might be video card or driver related. Some stages I can play on full graphics with everything set on high, while other stages have that occasional lag or drop in frame rate, even if I set every possible setting to zero.
Might be a stage thing too, though. Hard to determine, but we should report it to Cyanide.

Nope, not yet. What stages do you experience it in? Maybe we can find the reason that way. |

Okay. I have a theory that the problem exists only in stages with huge amounts of water. The two stages you mentioned there seem to support that theory as the both have route near a coast line. |

I just tested the 3rd stage of Tour of Oman and the closer I got to the water in the stage, the lag worsened. Gonna do some more tests tomorrow before I write something on the Cyanide forum.

Did you turn off the water reflection in the options?

Yes I can confirm lag issues on those two stages as well. My FPS is usually quite high playing PCM, but stages with a lot of water/along coastlines seem to really take a big toll on graphics' performance |

Yep. I just tested the Tour of Oman stage with all settings on 0, including the reflection in water. It doesn't help.
It's quite weird, as my graphics card doesn't even get hot, but yet there are these moments of lag which ruins the game play.

So, I've made a post on the Cyanide forums. Hopefully, they'll look into it: https://www.cyanid...13#p529313 |
