Seeing that "Guess the Cyclist" really gained some interest after the restart, I thought I'd give this game a new start as well. Surely some people still remember the old thread, which was pretty popular for some time.
It's pretty simple. To quote Crommy from the old thread:
For those who haven't visisted the PPDB forums, they play a game called the Google Earth quiz. This is like Guess the Cyclist, except you take a picture using Google Earth (or Google Maps), and people have to guess where the place pictured is.
Also:
Remember, we have an international audience, so try to post reasonably well known places
State difficulty when posting a picture. Correct answer will give:
Easy - 1 point
Medium - 2 points
Hard - 3 points
If you get confirmation from the person who posted a picture that you've guessed correctly, you post a new picture, and the others guess.
You can only guess once before having to wait for confirmation from the person who posted the picture. If you're confirmed wrong, then you can go again. More than one guess before confirmation will render both / all those guesses invalid. If one of those answers is correct, the next person who posts it will receive the points and the right to post a new picture.
I'll start off with an easy one.
Rules are the same as in Guess the Cyclist. Only one guess until confirmation from the person who posted the picture. Also, state difficulty to make it possible to keep score.
I'll try to update a score if there's some interest for this.
