Inserting pictures/mugshots?

How do you insert a picture of a rider who does not have a picture. Example, Cadel Evan, Andy & Frank Schleck etc. |

go to this directory. .
Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012 --> Gui --> cyclist_photo
name it the first letter of first name and full last name.

aschleck
fschleck
make sure it is in the same format as the others

I'm sorry, I said it wrong, how do you insert a photograph of the rider? I understand (thanks to you) where to place them. But what I means to ask is how can you take a picture and format it to put it into PCM 12? |

Find a photo of the rider on a website, then paste it into a 64x64 picture, resize it, so you only see the head and shoulders, save as a 32-bit TGA file, name it as the original file, e.g. cevans.
You may need a tool such as Paint.NET to do the resizing. |

Alright, I've got every part down except when I click "edit" on the rider in the database, it just deletes the rider. I did everything. The image was the exact size like everyone else. I use Paint.Net I've had it ever since I bought PCM 11 haha. |

I'm not too familiar with the database editor that comes with the game. Are you adding a new rider? Try using a different editor, such as Advanced Editor V4 and/or Lachi's Editor. |

If you are using the official editor, click on the name box and then it will take you to the picture directory, scroll through and find the one you are looking for, and then click "EDIT" right after selecting the picture. Works for me

I am using the official editor, and I'm doing exactly what you were doing. Except for me it deleted the rider. I did however create a rider and it work perfectly fine. |

It is deleting the whole rider altogether? Or just deleting the picture

First, make sure that you have a picture that is in .tga format and is 64x64 Pixels:
It should end up being around 12-16 KB in size
Now, place the picture in this directory:
Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012 --> Gui --> cyclist_photo
In this example, I am using Lance Armstrong, so I name the file larmstrong and place in the above directory
Next, open the database in your editor and go to the rider
Now click on the highlighted spot below:
It will open up the folder you put your picture in, scroll down and find your rider and then click ok.
You will be taken back to the main screen, click edit as highlighted below:
Now click into another rider and then click back into the rider you just edited to make sure his picture is there and more importantly the rider is still there. If it works, just click create database and thats all

Alright, I did what you said and it worked. I had to re create Cadel Evans because he got deleted and I tried re doing him and clicked away to a different rider (everything else you had told me to do I was doing right) and it seemed to work. But I wanted to make sure this would work on any other rider so I did one with Yaroslav Popovych and added his picture and it showed up. It didn't delete. So thanks for help. If anything else comes up I'll let you know. |

No you just replace the actual file, you don't need to open the database editor
