Due to very notable inactivity in the game through the season so far, the following 5 teams are to disband at the end of the season:
Nestle (PT)
Warner Brothers (PT)
Webeffect (PT)
Proximus - Trek (CT)
UniCredit (CT)
They join Domina Vacanze (PT) and Bimbo Nutella (CT), who failed to even bother completing their race planners.
There is more to this game than simply participating in transfers!

Does this mean I can't get relegated?

Nope. Any PT team finishing 17th, 18th or 19th will be relegated.
If a disbanding team finishes in the Top 16, then that means an extra Continental team will be promoted.

So that means it will be less ugly jerseys in Man-Game next year?

Definitely, but most important of all it means Valverde is going to be a FA once more! As well as Boonen, Spilak, and a handful of other really interesting riders. Havoc is about to be unleashed once more.
It's a pity though, that some managers decided to take this path. Some of them were inclusively part of the furniture of the Man-Game.

I've already jotted down the handful of riders that I saw there who might find their way into my team next season...
But yes, it is a pity to lose these teams, but activity is hugely important.

When it needs to be done, it needs to be done.
Some nice riders being in these teams, especially Karpets, Ben Nasser, Craven and Hoffman are interesting in my managerial eyes

In my opinion, the best news based on this is that it opens up (atleast) 7 spots for managers who have proved in D2 that they are active. Nothing is better than getting active managers in those spots
(Considering my team name next season I gotta drool abit on Boonen, what would Mapei be without a top cobble rider?)

Actually no. Just like the 2012 jersey I also made my own 2013 jersey.
So still pretty ugly jerseys in the next season.
A pity that so many teams disband but necessary. |

I'm with Heine, this is great for new active managers. As for me Valverde really caught my eye since I need a big name leader, but he has so much downside for what a predict a large price tag. The biggest will be his age, and also mention his curse ...

Valverde is a rider that is always pricey, but on the other hand, there will be quite a bunch of riders with over 80 mon on Free Agents, in theory that should take the price down (Valverde, Spilak, Sella, Schleck, Karpets, Brajkovic, Kasheschkin, Nibali and Denifl). Also consider that there will always be someone more when the signings are done, for example will be interesting to see what Santander will do, considering that Valls will increase in stats (might be saved by Arroyo declining). Also a big question for me is what SN will do, with Andy being free agent, could be his main target since his team is from luxemburg

Well, actually I quite like your 2012 jersey, so I hope you will make a nice jersey for the next season as well!
I obviously thought that I really hate jerseys of Webeffect and Proximus and they even don't have active managers.. I think it isn't a bad thing to see so many teams disband. It means many active managers will get a chance to see their teams in PT or CT next season and that's a good thing.
