Hello everyone. I will make a story with the continental team, Spider Tech. My database is Official Realease (Cyanides official one...)
BTW. I'm sorry, but the langueage on the picture will be in Norewgian, but I suspect that you know what stands there on your own, so hopefully you can understand... Just want to say tht their roles in races are((dunno how it stands on english, I just translate them): Lagkamerat (team mate) Fri (Free) Spurter (Sprinter) Kaptein (Captain)
Settings:
Here you can see my settings. Will be random DB, easy, 0.5 in attribute increase.
Squad:
The squad is mainly canadian riders. Only 3 riders in the squad isn't from Canada. The biggest "stars" is Keven Lacomb and Svein Tuft
I will soon be back with my route for January/February and then start riding!
BTW. I just wonders, will people stop reading it when PCM 12 arrives? So I made a poll

Goals for the team
I want the team to keep a high amount of Canadians and therefore I have placed my scout in Canada. On the team, but new sponsors might except some more riders from other countries. But Spider Tech will stay on until the end of the 2012 season so I have 2 years left with them. My wish is to make a "new" Ryder Hesjedal... But that will take many seasons.
Goals for this season
*Finish TOP 40 in continental league (42 teams in all)
*Get 3 wins through the season
*Get 1 jersey
JANUARY
My plan for January:
Goals:
*Be in atleast 5 break aways
*Finish TOP 10 at one stage
*TOP 5 in the climber competition (Tour of Malaysia) |

Tour of Malaysia - Stage 1
My riders
My thought about the stage
A easy stage were all riders should be able to hold on the penalton, first stage so unlikely that a break away will hold all the way in. Will have Lacomb in the penalton for the final sprint and try to get 1 or 2 riders in the break away.
THE STAGE
Houle and Boivin tries to get away from the pack and up to the 1 rider at the front (Hosek, PSK). I decided to let Boivin join since both Anderson and Langlois started the day at the back of the penalton so they hadn't time to get to the front before the attack was made.
Todays break away. Houle (Spider Tech), Boivin (Spider Tech) and Hosek (PSK). Hosek takes the firt sprint and climb. The 2nd sprint is won by Boivin while the last climb is won by Houle. Hosek will use the climber jersey on the next stage. The break away have only 2,52" down to the pack with 44km to go. The pack has full control and 15km before the line, the break away is taken again by the penalton leaded by CCC.
5km to go and Lacombe is in 4th position on that train.
Peter Sagan takes the stage win. Lacomb manage to sprint into 7th place and takes a few points in the continental competition and also makes one of my goals for january which was "finish TOP 10 on one stage". Also I was in todays break away which means I only needs to be in 4 more.

Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas - Cannondale | 2h06'59 | 2 | Enrico Gasparotto | Pro Team Astana | +8" | 3 | Guillaume Boivin | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +10" | 4 | Juan Pablo Furero Carreño | Colombian Y Pason-Kafé Colombian | +12" | 5 | Hugo Houle | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +16" | 6 | Andrea Guardini | Farnese Vini - Neri Sottoli | +20" | 7 | Danilo Wyss | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 8 | André Scholze | CCC Popol | s.t. | 9 | Keven Lacombe | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. | 10 | Steven Caethoven | Veranda's Willems - Accent | s.t. |
Boivin will be wearing the young jersey tommorow. He is 2nd, but since Sagan will be busy with the yellow shirt, Boivin will get then honour on stage 2.

Tour of Malaysia - Stage 2
My riders
My thoughts about the stage
A bit harder than yesterdays stage, it will still be a stage for the sprinters I guess. But we will do everything we can to get in the break away and for it to hold in.
THE STAGE
Todays break away includes 11 riders, 2 of them is representing Spider Tech (Langlois and Anderson) And I was lucky. Anderson have amazing legs today (+5) and langlois haven't bad either (+2). Langlois won the sprint, but I will ride for Anderson due to his good legs.
With 90km left the break away have 9.22" down to the pack, but 10km later it's only 6.20" !! So I put Langlois infront of the group. Lacombe have terrible legs today and this is my only chance to get a good result. And it works. With 50km left (30 km later) the pack is 5.12" behind, so this might go! And it does. With 34km to go Langlois has no more power left, but the gap is 4.35" so this should go. Anderson is a so bad sprinter that I decides to ride infront now, to get as many off as possible, with 10 left in the break away, a TOP 10 result is almost secured, it just have to hold all the way in. But the break away slowly get's smaller and smaller, with 11km to go it's only Steve Cummings who's left on Andersons back wheel.
Cummings is a better sprinter and have been sitting on Andersons wheel for a while now, so this should be easy, Anderson have no power left either and Cummings take the win. But Anderson wasn't far behind and Cummings clearly was tired of Andersons hard racing.
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Steve Cummings | Sky Pro Cycling | 4h10'23 | 2 | Ryan Anderson | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. | 3 | Steven Cozza | Team Netapp | +59 | 4 | Christopher Juul Jensen | Glud & Marstrand - LRØ | s.t. | 5 | Josh Atkuns | Trak - Neilstrong 23 | s.t. | 6 | Darren Lapthorn | Drapac | s.t. | 7 | Steven Caethoven | Veranda's Willems - Accent | +3.21" | 8 | André Scholze | CCC Popol | s.t. | 9 | Nico Eickout | Ana Pest - Jeans Kelly | s.t. | 10 | Juan Pablo Furero Carreño | Colombian Y Pason-Kafé Colombian | s.t. |
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Steve Cummings | Sky Pro Cycling | 6h17'02 | 2 | Ryan Anderson | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +8" | 3 | Steven Cozza | Team Netapp | +1.09" | 4 | Josh Atkuns | Trak - Neilstrong 23 | +1.15 | 5 | Darren Lapthorn | Drapac | +1.19" | 6 | Christopher Juul Jensen | Glud & Marstrand - LRØ | s.t. | 7 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas - Cannondale | +3.21" | 8 | Enrico Gasparotto | Pro Team Astana | +3.29" | 9 | Guillaume Boivin | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +3.31" | 10 | Juan Pablo Furero Carreño | Colombian Y Pason-Kafé Colombian | +3.33" |
Anderson is currently ranked as #1 in the competition for young riders!
CONTINENTAL TOUR
The continental tour have so far 11 different riders with any points. 2 of them are representing Spider Tech, the best one of the Spider Tech riders are Ryan Anderson on 1st place!!! Spider Tech is also leading the team competition!! (only 18 points though, but still leading!)

No, you're results are realistic so far, so stick with easy,
And if you want to change, don't start again, just change the difficulty in the settings.

Tour of Malaysia - Stage 3
My riders
My thoughts about the stage
Last stage before we go into the mountains, I think the sprinting team will try to ride the break away back in, but if someone in the break away are willing to sacrifize themself for the break away, the sprinter teams isn't very strong besides the sprinter, so then they will get problems to ride it back in. I will try to once again go in the break away with Lacombe in the pack. Hoping to get atleast 3 riders in the break away.
THE STAGE
Todays break away includes 12 riders, 4 of them are representing Spider Tech (Langlois, Boivin, Randell and Houle) The break awy wasn't actually allowed to go from the start, CCC Popol obviously wasn't happy about 4 Spider Tech riders in the break away, and tried to ride it back in very early. The distance was 50-1.00" for 8km even though Langlois was riding on 80% of his maximum power in the front of the break away, but then the pack resigns and let them go. All of my riders rests now in the back of the break away. Houle takes the 3rd place on the clibing spot and thereby takes the jersey while Boivin takes 2nd and 3rd on the two sprintings. With 50km left I put Langlois in the front again. But he only stands for 7km before I have to put Randell in front (Houle will be my captain in the break away. His legs is +5 while the 3 others have 0. In the pack Lacombe has 0 as well while his helping riders only have -2 and -3. With 11km to go, the pack resings and I have only Boivin left with some power to help Houle, but he is done 9km before the finish line. SKy is now controlling the pack to be sure they keep their yellow jersey.
Kristijan Koren (Liquigas - Cannondale) takes the win, TO the left you can see Houle on Menzies back wheel. Houle is a bad sprinter but was on the correct wheel and finish 3rd! My 3 other break away riders have lost the leading group, but you can see them back there with 1km to go. They arrives on 10th, 11th and 12th place. Lacombe finish 14th after a very good sprint, he is 2nd in the pack.
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Kristijan Koren | Liquigas - Cannondale | 3h05'39 | 2 | Karl Menzies | United Healthcare Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Hugo Houle | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. | 4 | Rene Mandri | Endure Racing | s.t. | 5 | Thomas Buchachek | PSK Whirlpool - Author | s.t. | 6 | Kasper Jebjerg | Glud & Marstrand - LRØ | s.t. | 7 | Thomas Palmer | Drapac | s.t. | 8 | Jan Barta | Team NetApp | s.t. | 9 | Michael Schar | CBM Racing Team | s.t. | 10 | Andrew Randell | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +1.29" |
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Steve Cummings | Sky Pro Cycling | 9h25'16 | 2 | Ryan Anderson | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +8" | 3 | Karl Menzies | United Healthcare Pro Cycling | +38" | 4 | Kristijan Koren | Liquigas - Cannondale | +46" | 5 | Hugo Houle | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | +52" | 6 | Rene Mandri | Endure Racing | +1.00" | 7 | Thomas Buchachek | PSK Whirlpool - Author | +1.04" | 8 | Michael Schar | CBM Racing Team | +1.06" | 9 | Kasper Jebjerg | Glud & Marstrand - LRØ | s.t. | 10 | Jan Barta | Team NetApp | s.t. |
Anderson is currently ranked as #1 in the competition for young riders! And Houle is currently ranked as #1 in the climber competition!
CONTINENTAL TOUR
The continental tour have so far 18 different riders with any points. 3 of them are representing Spider Tech, the best one of the Spider Tech riders are still Ryan Anderson on 1st place!!! Spider Tech is still leading the team competition!! |

the two next stages now will be hard, I will not go in the break away, just relax in the pack and try to keep Anderson or Houle TOP 10 in overall... But I don't think that will happen... |
