Team CSC HQ (Pseudo Man- Game)
fernando97
Team CSC was a legendary cycling team, but it has folded. But the CSC HQ wanted to give it another shot, and they decided to make a new team. The team will mainly be based around GC riders and sprinters along with some decent TTers. The main aim from the sponsor is Top10s from all the GTs, and get some nice mass sprint victories, and nonetheless to make some memorable moments!

Other teams are getting some great riders, you can check the them here:

Team Presentation

Current Roster

Riders:

Andy Schleck
img688.imageshack.us/img688/5573/riderpictureasp.jpg

Our main leader, he will lead us in all races that he participates. He has nice stats, and he's quite young, so he is also a long- term investment. The former 3 times TDF second rider is looking for a revenge against Cadel and Conta, but the route doesn't suit him well, because of the amount of TT kilometers. Anyway, he possibly targets the TDF and another GT.

Edvald Boasson Hagen

img844.imageshack.us/img844/4219/tdf2011st17edvaldboasso.jpg
The Norwegian sprinter is the fastest man in the team, but he rides hills also well. He is aiming for the MSR, and the TdF, where he chases the Maillot Verde. He also hopes to get decent amount of white jerseys, in smaller races.

Daniele Bennati

img85.imageshack.us/img85/5700/riderpicture1asp.jpg
A nice italian sprinter, who can score lot of points for us. He's main aim is the Giro, and the red jersey. He handles the hills very well, and can produce great placings. He will also lead some one day classics.

Borut Bozic

img854.imageshack.us/img854/6707/bozicborutpic204298svi.jpg

Another sprinter, he can compete in mass sprints without a train, that's very important. He doesn't have a main aim, but he'll have a good form all over the year.

Robert Kiserlovski

img860.imageshack.us/img860/1420/kiserlovskirobertsabati.jpg

Well, a nice climber, who can't time trial. This year's TDF route contains lots of kilometers on the TT bike, so Robert will aim on the other to GTs, where hunts two GC top10s.

Tiago Machado

img835.imageshack.us/img835/7903/machadotiago04lr.jpg

Tiago is a climber, who is not bad against the clock, and can help us a lot in TTTs. He is mainly a helper for the team, but he will get his own chances. He is aiming for the Giro and the TDF as a domestique.

Daniel Navarro

img13.imageshack.us/img13/4923/danielnavarrocriteriumd.jpg

The little spaniard was a helper for Contador for a long time, but now he wants to get his own chances. Possibly, he can be a co-leader with Kiserlovski at one of the GTs, and he will get a leadership role on some spanish races, like the Vuelta a Catalunya.

Mikhail Ignatiev

img849.imageshack.us/img849/8623/riderpicture2asp.jpg

Mikhail is good all-round rider, who likes the hillier terrains, but he is also a decent helper for the TTTs. We don't know his schedule yet, but he will ride a lot.

Giacomo Nizzolo

img214.imageshack.us/img214/9391/giacomonizzolo.jpg

Giacomo is a quality sprinter, who is very young, so still has room to improve. He will get some chances in mass-sprints, but he will lead our better sprinters out sometimes.

Jos van Emden

img692.imageshack.us/img692/48/riderpicture3asp.jpg

A better TTer with the qualities to help us in almost terrain, makes him very usable for the team. He is a decent helper.

Enrico Gasparotto

img708.imageshack.us/img708/6475/gasparottoamstelgoldrac.jpg

What a nice steal! This years AGR winner is in our team! Enrico is a strong hilly rider for us, who has the needed kick in a reduced group sprint. He will aim for italian stage and one-day races.

Season Goals

Le Tour de France

The main event for us in the year. The most prestigious race in the world, and Team CSC will participate! Sponsors want the Maillot Jaune! Despite the Route being not so good for Andy because of the lots of TT kilometers, he'll certainly has a chance to drop the other climbers in the mountains. Edvald Boasson Hagen will also ride, and he wants to pick up some stage wins and the Green Jersey!

Giro D'Italia

Team CSC is based on stage-racing and sprinting, so we must have a go in the Giro. Our captain Andy Schleck will possibly ride the Giro, but nothing is decided yet. If he rides, then we're looking for the GC win, although he certainly won't be in great form.
Daniele Bennati has also set his main aim there, and wants to get some nice stage wins.

Milano- San Remo

This might be the race, which suits or EBH the best. He likes hills, he can sprint, what do we need more? He certainly will be one to watch.

Draft plans

Round 7

In Round 7, we want to get a nice helper, who can climb and TT well like Matthias Frank or a decent hilly rider like Jan Bakelandts. A french sprinter is also on our radar, as we're looking to get as many quality riders, as we can.

Interview- Andy Schleck

Reporter: How do you feel now? You came back to your old team, Team CSC, where you made some nice victories.
AS: Yes, i'm feeling quite good, but I miss Frank a little bit. We were in one team for years, but now he's not with Team CSC.
R: What are you aiming for this year?
AS: I don't know possibly a Tour- Vuelta double for me looks likely, but there is nothing decided.
R: What do you think about your teammates?
AS: He have some nice sprinters like Edvald, who is the fastest sprinter of the team, but goes well also when the road rises. We want to have many white jerseys with him. Daniele is another fast rider, who will be at the top of his game at the Giro. He is a nice rider to have, with his experience and speed. Then we have Borut Bozic, who is also a sprinter, and he is just a little bit slower than the others. He's main pro argument, is that he can win mass sprints without a train. He will be everywhere this year, looking for some great stage wins.
R: Now let's talk about climbing. What do you think of the last rounds?
AS: I'm quite happy with the additions, the team made, Tiago is good helper who can protect the leaders nicely on any kind of terrain. Then we have Robert Kiserlovski, who is an very good climber, but not a nice time-trialer. He will lead us in lots of races.
R: Thanks for the interview, have a nice season Andy!
AS: Thank You.

Are you sure Navarro would want to help out Schleck after having been in Contador's Saxo Bank?

I feel some problems coming up Pfft

fernando97
He is working for the team, he knows the job. Actually, he had a discussion with Andy, and they sorted out everything.

January and February Preview

Here are the races we participate:

Santos Tour Down Under
Tour of Qatar
Vuelta a Mallorca
Volta ao Algarve
Trofeo Lauglieglia
GP dell'Insumbria Lugano
K-B-K

In the TDU Bennati will be our leader, as he wants to get the season with some nice racing off. In Qatar EBH will participate with Borut Bozic. In Spain and Portugal, Mikhail Ignatiev wants to get some form, with Navarro. We don't really care about Lauglieglia, but Gasparotto should be on fire there, just like in Lugano next week. We don't have any cobblers, but if it comes down in a sprint in K-B-K, Bennati will surely make an impact.

I'd like to know your opinion on each of the WT teams - which ones could be better than CSC this year? Also, will Andy ride either the Giro or Vuelta or is that still a secret?
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/PCMdailyAwards2018/bettingchampion.png

fernando97
I don't know the rosters of each teams, but Blusens is certainly very strong, I see Holden strong also. BMW will be up there in the cobbles, but UBS is also very strong. For the GTs, I see Holden and ANZ as the best teams, but the Swalec- Unicef team can provide some results. VI- SigaarSnoor is the best in the Ardennes Classics, where Privatbank is also strong. Ferrari will dominate the sprints, but they have to worry because of the lack of climbers.
2. Andy will ride the Giro. Is this good or bad, I don't know. What do you think?

Now your questions are answered.

Your team has riders from all around the world, do you think the languages spoken might turn to be a problem?

Yes, it might be a problem, but the most of the riders are speaking English, and they can contact each other well.
