PM-G PrivatBank

Oleksandr Dubilet, Chairman of PrivatBank thought that, after several years of seriously making money, it was time to create a top-class cycling team.

PrivatBank will be the sponsor of this Ukrainian based team for the next 3 years. In this time they hope to provide the young talented Ukrainian riders who basically have no future in pro cycling a chance to establish themselves in this fast evolving world.

The team has no co-sponsors yet, but it's told that Nalini, the producer of high-end quaility cycling cloths, gives the team a small extra when some Italians will ride for the team.

This means the team will be build around some strong Italian guys, surrounded by both veteran and young Ukrainian riders.

The team has signed an agreement with Scott to supply the bikes.

Squad

Sprinters

Marcel Kittel will lead our team in the flat stages throughout the season. His main goal? Milan - San Remo ofcourse.
Spoiler
i46.tinypic.com/w7o9d.jpg

Sacha Modolo will be the leadout for Kittel in San Remo. He's a strong sprinter, so he'll get some chances to win in other races.
Spoiler
i50.tinypic.com/b3rbqu.jpg

Mikhaylo Khalilov is an experienced Ukrainian sprinter who will be the main sprinter in small races in Europe, and most races outside Europe. We hope his experience will help the team to get better.

Yuri Metlushenko is another experienced sprinter from Ukraine. Just like Khalilov he's getting old but we hope he can help some young talents before he retires.

Aidis Kruopis is a fairly young sprinter who might develop into a worldclass sprinter.

Yuyika Arashiro is a Japanese sprinter who can get decent results.

Climbers

Damiano Cunego is our Ardennes leader for this season. He also might try the Giro d'Italia when he's in good shape. His main goal is the Giro di Lombardia.
Spoiler
i50.tinypic.com/eumzpd.jpg

Tadej Valjavec is a climber who used illegal substances. He was banned for 2 years, until January 20th 2013. However the UCI decided this period was too long as he was checked positive before, but without real evidence. His ban has been reduced to 1 year, meaning we can use him form the 21st of January. Most likely he'll be leading the team in smaller WT races.
Spoiler
i46.tinypic.com/6yjmg2.jpg

Emanuele Sella also a guy who used dope in the past, but we're sure he will leave it behind him and start all over. He is a good climber who should be able to get some good results

Vladimir Efimkin is a Russian climber who should be able to get good results in races out of Europe.

Puncheurs

Alexandr Kolobnev is a veteran who will assist Cunego in the Ardennes.
Spoiler
i50.tinypic.com/10i6hxf.jpg

Pavel Brutt is also a Russian guy who can ride well in the Ardennes. Unlike Alexandr he can also climb quite good. We hope he can assist Cunego and Kolobnev in the Hilly classics, and maybe get a stage win in a Grand Tour.

Cobblestone Specialists

Filippo Pozzato will be the team captain in the cobbled classics. His goals are to ride top 10s in the big Flanders Classics.
Spoiler
i50.tinypic.com/34xnwxt.jpg

Andriy Grivko, Ukrainian stage racer.

Igor Abakoumov, Lead-out man for the main sprinters

Vitaliy Popkov, Helper. Good time trialist.

Vitaliy Buts Still quite young. He will help our leaders.

Volodymir Bileka, decent sprinter.

Sergiy Gretchyn, also a decent sprinter

Yuriy Krivtsov, good rider who has won some big French races in the past

Dmytro Grabovskyy, Decent TT'er

Youngsters

Don't worry about that, I've already made that change, and will be posting teams in that fashion rather than how I have been previously. So after the next draft round, those stats will come.

Combining those would be great, as the four I have now will be my absolute leaders. (yes even Kolobnev, won't tell for which races Smile)

Some great news!

Sacha Modolo, the Italian sprinter has decided to join our team. To quote him: 'It will be awesome to ride in the same team as Cunego and Pozzato.'

There is also some bad news, the Ukrainian rider Yaroslav Popovych joined a Continental Team from Russia. He said he was getting too old to ride in World Tour races, which we ofcourse understand.

This means we need to find a new climber to replace him. Some options would be Kiserlovski, Valjavec and Szmyd.

Interview with Marcel Kittel

I: Welcome Marcel. How are you?
K: I'm fine thanks, nice to be here.
I: Do you think you can win races without Degenkolb to lead you in the sprints?
K: It'll be differnet for sure, but still I'm sure Sacha is also capable to pull the sprint for me.
I: You mention Sacha, but he can't lead in all races. Can you sprint by using other teams' trains?
K: Not sure about that, but I'm sure the team will sign some other sprinters aswell, like Khalilov.
I: Your main goal is Milan - San Remo, do you think you will be able to win it?
K: When I'm in great shape, yes why not? Cavendish isn't the best climber so we can try to lose him at Le Manie.
I: Thanks for this short interview.

We signed Tadej Valjevec earlier today. Tadej is a strong climber and we're surprised none of continental teams wanted him. Tadej has proven himself several years ago by riding top 10s in both the Giro and the Tour.

The team still does not have any rider form Ukraine, it's time to change that. We will fully aim on Khalilov and Metlushenko this round.
