Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Stage 5
Stage 6
Favourites :
**** Evans, Wiggins ( Porte / Froome )
*** Kreuziger, Mollema, Kloden, Valverde
** Cunego, Basso, Szmyd, Cobo, Spilak, Gadret
Startlist
Should be a good race as always, looking forward to time-trial battle between Evans & Wiggo. Also I am really curious what will Froome do, if he doesn't produce anything in next few races he's Tour place will not be certain. Nordhaug/Porte have a real good shot at Tour now.

Froome watch mode on\
He'd better do something soon, or he'll officially become Klöden 2.0

He can tow Wiggo up the Mountains. That's something. |

The final stage will decide it. My money is on Cunego.

I'd love for Basso to be in bad form and let Szymd ride for himself, that'd be interesting, like at Trentino.

Evans has been well off form thanks to illness. If Wiggins doesn't win this then something odd will be up. Porte will be worth watching, however, if Wiggins has started to tire after a fairly long early season.

He really should have won the tour though.

I think Porte will be actually Sky's leader here
But really about Wiggo ? He only rode Algarve and Paris Nice so far this year. He abandoned on stage 3 of Volta and didn't ride until now. That's much less than most riders this year so far.

Perhaps he should have beaten Pereio yes, but not Lance...
Its the same as Andy Schleck should have won the tour (winning cause of a doper doesnt properly count imo)

Does nothing for years, until joining his country's big new pro team where he suddenly shows up and finishes on the Vuelta podium despite losing time working for his team leader.
Yep, Froome is the new Levi Leipheimer. Expect him to dedicate the rest of his career to winning the Tour of Britain over and over
Also, I think Kumazan is referring more to Klöden's attitude. He could've had a much better career, but he is so scared of being team leader that he freely admits to changing teams just so he won't have to lead.

Paris Nice to here is still a long way to carry form given that he is up against people who are building towards the Giro.

Oh yes, definitely. That's why I don't expect him to feature until the TT. Porte said he's the leader so I think Wiggo might take it easy. Altough there aren't many good TT'ers here so he may give it a go himself.

I was indeed referring to Klöden's attitude, but not so much to how he doesn't like to lead his team, but rather how he just performs when he needs a contract.
But if he becomes the new Leipheimer it'd be funnier. JTL could be his Horner.

We'll see if Froome can repeat his tactic of racing strongly after recovering from Bilharzia parasites. See: https://www.chris-froome.com/diary

I'm not sure how Evans is right now, but I'd like to see a battle between him, Wiggo and Mollema. |
