hahaha well this is awkward. I only looked at the stories on page 1.... Oh well. I have read that story though, it's with a squad from another year though right? And possibly a different PCM?

Alakagom
Let people choose stories that they like imo. Baia, gotta say Harry is doing a Garmin story too and nobody told him anything Wink As well as that roturn's garmin team is completely different now so it should be alright imo Wink

Good luck Wink

Garmin - Barracuda

Database: PCM.Daily 2012 DB V1
Rider Difficulty: Hard
Financial Difficulty: Normal
Rider Potentials: Random

Sponsor Goals - Garmin
i.imgur.com/h09vb.jpg
So obviously the two '5 star' goals will be very tough to achieve. We have the riders to achieve it but there will be plenty of competition of course. Same goes for the Il Lombardia and Dauphine.

Sponsor Goals - Barracuda
i.imgur.com/d9W9a.jpg
Barracudas goals focus more on the cobbled classics but the most important for them is Ciclista a Catalunya. Daniel Martin came 3rd last year so it's certainly possible that we can challenge for overall honours. Top 5 in Paris-Roubaix a definite possibility.

Important Riders

i.imgur.com/muTlR.jpg
One of the worlds fastest sprinters. His main goal this year is to go for stage wins at the Tour de France. He will also get a shot at Milan San Remo.

i.imgur.com/jKb3p.jpg
Our best stage racer. As the Giro is of extreme importance, he will peak during the Giro in hope to finish on the podium.

i.imgur.com/hzfWO.jpg
Fantastic rider. He will be our GC leader at the Tour de France and will be our leader in the Ardennes Classics.

i.imgur.com/7pFnq.jpg
Past his prime but still has the ability to perform well. Not quite sure on whether I'll ride him in the Giro or the TDF though.

i.imgur.com/L5aLO.jpg
Our cobbled specialist, he will return to defend his Paris-Roubaix title and possible aim to be a helper to Hesjedal in the Tour.

i.imgur.com/X5cfr.jpg
The all-rounder of this team. Has the potential to be one of the best riders in the peloton but hasnt been able to show it in the past few seasons. He'll be a helper to van Summeren in the cobbled classics but will get his opportunity to be a leader.

The rest
This team has alot of depth in almost every area. We have some of the worlds best time trialists in Millar and Zabriskie. We have plenty of climbers and hill specialists and we have a fair few riders who can handle themselves on the cobbles so we should be in for a good season.

Conclusion
So there you have it. The Australian Championships are up next. Hope you enjoy the story Smile

2012 Australian Road Championships

Stage Profile
i.imgur.com/Kl680.jpg

A hilly course. Not likely to end in a mass sprint.

Squad
i.imgur.com/r63c9.jpg

Only 2 Australian ride for Garmin. Haussler will be our leader but will not be helped by Haas as I've given him the instruction to try and get into the breakaway.

Race

150km to go - 3 riders breakaway, they open a small gap.

142km to go - 2 more join them, including Nathan Haas

130km to go - Another 2 riders have joined, including Graeme Brown. The leading group now have a 2 minute lead. This looks like the winning breakaway.

100km to go - The gap is now out to almost 5 minutes.

60km to go - GreenEdge have all their riders at the front but they dont appear at all interested in bring back the breakaway. The gap is now out to 8 minutes.

40km to go - The gap is now out to almost 10 minutes. The breakaway will stay away but who will take victory? Graeme Brown is the best sprinter but when it's this early into the season, fitness has to play a big part.

10km to go - The leading group of 7 head up the climb for the final time.

3km to go - The sprint starts, Menzies is leading them out. Brown is 2nd last with Haas on his wheel
i.imgur.com/cb0Aa.jpg

Finish
i.imgur.com/eUUQa.jpg

Menzies timed his sprint well and takes the victory. Brown left his run too late and finished 2nd. Haas the same but still manages a top 5 result, a good effort.

Two tips for you.

1) Dunno if you know but you can take screens ingame - CTRL + T to take a screen and CTRL + U to have menus disappear ( doesn't work in replays though ).

2) You can make the results look nicer if you put them in the table and 100%, the tabble button is between youtbe and spoiler Wink

Good 5th place for Haas Wink

I'm not 100% sure on either. I might look to Dan Martin for the Tour of California, Vande Velde is also a possibility there if he doesnt ride the Giro. For the USA Pro Cycling Challenge I'm even less sure on that one as it's so far away but based on my training regimes Tom Danielson is a possibility.

1) Thanks! I was always wondering how to do that, I just assumed people cropped them out. I also got a PM from Absint about the same thing so thanks to him too Smile.

2) Thankyou for pointing that out too, I will use it from now on Smile.

Squad
Same as before.

Race

Cameron Meyer is the first of the favourites to come in. He sets the bar at 55'29.
i.imgur.com/erLp6.jpg

Ben Day comes in and goes 2nd +14 down on Meyer.
i.imgur.com/2JjY7.jpg

Michael Rogers is having a good day, here he is passing the rider who started ahead of him with 10km to go. He comes in with the fastest time at 54'59.
i.imgur.com/LlBjE.jpg

I didn't have high hopes for Haussler, maybe a top 10 at best. He comes in 8th at the finish but we still have others to come in.
i.imgur.com/dYX1e.jpg

Cadel Evans set the fastest time at the first split and comes into the finish still with the fastest time. 54'19.
i.imgur.com/8K1Zy.jpg

Richie Porte was last out onto the road today. He came through the first split 10 seconds down on Evans. Coming into the finish he clocks the 2nd best time at 54'40 21 seconds down.

Stage 1 Profile
i.imgur.com/l8h26.jpg

Race

95km to go - After numerous attacks throughout the first 50-60km, a group of 9 riders (including Langeveld and Australian Champ Luke Roberts) have broken away and have a 2'30 gap. This looks like the winning breakaway. No Garmin riders made the break today.
i.imgur.com/cqeYM.jpg

50km to go - The gap got out to as high as 5 minutes but BMC, Garmin, Lampre and Omega Pharma have been bringing them back and the gap is now at 3'40.

28km to go - Matti Breschel has attacked from the peloton but he gets brought back very quickly.

7km to go - The remaining breakaway riders have been caught.

2.7km to go - The sprint starts. Petacchi has the perfect leadout at the moment but has Cavendish on his wheel. The Garmin train are on the other side but are too far back at the moment.
i.imgur.com/GvZNW.jpg

1km to go - Haussler has put Farrar into the perfect position. Can he finish it off? Cavendish is beginning to open up. Petacchi yet to make his move. Hinault is moving fast but may have gone too early and Michael Matthews is also finishing fast.
i.imgur.com/L2GK5.jpg

Finish
i.imgur.com/2ZTTA.jpg
Cavendish was too good. He just holds on from a fast finishing Petacchi with Farrar finishing 3rd, a good result given the opposition.

Not 100% sure but I think it might be because I'm taking the pictures with Fraps instead of using ctrl+t because the file type that PCM uses is .png which is a larger file so I use fraps with .jpg picture files, so they upload quicker Wink

A tip , make your own rider names bolt in the result Wink

Like this : Tyler Farrar becomes Tyler Farrar Smile

I try to but it only bolds the number so I have to bold each individual column which gets annoying.

Who are you going to favour in the grand tours? Farrar in the sprints or Vanevelde and Hesjedal for GC?

EDIT: Probably have to include Danielson for GC as well
