Rabobank Cycling Team - Season 2012
It's my first PCM story. The database is PCMdaily 2011, because when I started my career, there wasn't 2012 DB, so I played one season and I would like to share my feelings about this season. I'll post the summary soon and then will be the team presentation, our goals for 2012 and our calendar. Teams like HTC are still there, because I'm not so good at editing. Hope you'll like it :)

Grand Tours in 2011
Giro d'Italia
What a domination by Robert Gesink and the whole Rabobank team! Gesink took all classifications: overall, point, mountain and young. Thanks to Mollema's 7th, Ten Dam's 14th and Weening's 21st place, the Rabobank was the best team too.
The only one, which could fight with Gesink was Ivan Basso. He won 3 mountains stages, but Gesink was faster in the TT and he won with more than 2 minutes over Basso.
Results:
1. Robert Gesink
2. Ivan Basso
3. Michele Scarponi
4. Jose Rujano
5. Ezequiel Mosquera
6. Nicolas Roche
7. Bauke Mollema
8. Igor Anton
9. Stefano Garzelli
10. Peter Velits

Tour de France
Alberto Contador is the winner of 2011 Tour de France, but he could wear the yellow jersey after the final time trial. The leader after 19 stages was Frank Schleck, 2nd was Cadel Evans with more than 1 minute behind. Contador was just behind Evans. Schleck isn't the best time trialist and he lost over 2 minutes in the 20th stage and finished 3rd. Evans lost only 17 seconds to Contador, but it was enough for Alberto and he could celebrate his vicory on the final stage.
The green jersey went to Heinrich Haussler. He won only one stage, but he was on podium of almost 10 stages! The polka-dot jersey went to Steven Kruijswijk. He finished with 7 points more than second Tony Martin.
Results:
1. Alberto Contador
2. Cadel Evans
3. Frank Schleck
4. Samuel Sanchez
5. Vincenzo Nibali
6. Bradley Wiggins
7. Michele Scarponi
8. Igor Anton
9. Janez Brajkovic
10. Chris Horner

Vuelta a Espana
Another Grand Tour dominated by Rabobank. Luis Leon Sanchez is the winner of overall, point and mountain classification. Sanchez fought to the last stage with Joaquim Rodriguez. Sanchez was leading with almost 3 minutes after the only individual time trial, but Rodriguez was much stronger in mountains and hilly stages and the difference after 20 stages was only 32 second. The third was Contador, which was already tired after his previous victories.
The Rabobank was the best team too. Carlos Barredo finished 6th and Juan Manuel Garate was 11th.
Results:
1. Luis Leon Sanchez
2. Joaquim Rodriguez
3. Alberto Contador
4. Ezequiel Mosquera
5. Juan Jose Cobo
6. Carlos Barredo
7. Carlos Sastre
8. Javier Moreno
9. Daniel Martin
10. Mikel Nieve |

Positives of 2011
1. Alberto Contador
First place in Tour de France and third in Vuelta are only few of his achievments in 2011. He also won Tour of California, Tour de Suisse and Vuelta al Pais Vasco and he is Spanish ITT Champion. He took the first place in Velo d'Or contest.
2. Robert Gesink
He dominated Giro d'Italia! He won all individual classifications. He also won Paris - Nice, was second in Tour de Suisse, Giro di Lombardia and Amstel Gold Race. He was also second in Velo d'Or.
3. Philip Gilbert
Great season for this belgian cyclist. Wins in La Fleche Wallone, Liege - Bastogne - Liege, Milano - Sanremo, stage in Tour de France and 21st place in overall classification of Vuelta. He also won the national ITT championship.
Negatives of 2011
1. Andy Schleck
Second place in Tour of California, third in Liege - Bastogne - Liege and the 21st place in Tour de France. It was horrible year for Andy. Everyone expected him to fight for the yellow jersey, but he lost too much time on flat stages and could only help his brother in mountains.
2. Mark Cavendish
No wins in Tour, no wins in Vuelta, just one stage win in Poland and California and two stage wins in Australia. It's not what we expect from the fastes man in the world. He also won national championship and three stages in Tour of Oman.
3. Alessandro Petacchi
Two top 3 finishes in Tour and one top 3 finish in Giro. It's also very poor result. He said he'll fight for the green jersey, but maybe he is too old? |

Really like the team and your transfer policy as it similar to Rabobank. Only 2 transfers isn't a lot but that's very realistic and I really like that, keep it coming Kup jakiegos Polaka na nastepny sezon
