The Man-Game. Three divisions, thousands of riders, seventy seven teams, and races all over the world. Yes, you can watch and read the results from these races, but have you ever wondered about something more immersive? Something that will allow you to get even closer to the centre of the action? Well, I'm pleased to introduce Man-Game Fantasy Betting.

Man-Game Fantasy Betting acts like any other betting system, much like the one on PCM Daily. Every entrant has a certain amount of credits, and they can bet on which rider will win in a certain race. At first there will only be the simple options, such as stage winner and overall winner, but hopefully the betting system will be expanded as interest rises, adding new bets to the game.

So how do you sign up? Simply post your interest here, and then you are free to bet. When a race comes up, after the odds have been posted here, then PM me your selection and sit back and enjoy. At the end of every Man-Game calendar month everyone is given 10 credits, with 100 given to you at the start of the game. Expect the Criterium Hainleite to be the first race, with the deadline for bets being when the race is posted. Reporters are unable to score points in races they race, simply in the interests of fairness.

Most importantly, have fun.

Good Luck, and happy betting.

A very interesting race is next in the Continental Tour this season. Criterium Hainleite is a German race, meaning there will probably be lots of beers and singing in the area when the riders race for glory on the challenging course. It's a hilly classic, which never has been raced in the ManGame before, and it has it all. A climb tests the riders early, before a circuit in Erfurt will decide the race winner. The circuit contains both a hill and some cobbles, meaning it should be one of the most unpredictable races so far this season. And that says a lot. How decisive will the tiny hill be? And will the cobbles affect the riders, as it's on a descent? How will pure sprinters cope with the final circuit in Erfurt? Those are just a few of the obvious question that will be asked, and they're all impossible to answer pre-race. We'll wait and see, I guess.

Really great idea. I'll be participating or sure.

I'd keep the odds on Another Rider much tighter than that though.

I'll skip this myself, but am curious as to the following rule. I wouldn't say there is any need for it.

Yeah, if you don't trust the reporters there's no point in having the game...

Is this officially sanctioned btw? Pfft

SN said it was fine when I suggested it to him, so it is in a way.

Personally I think it is a good idea. I've already raced Copenhagen for instance so when betting on it I'd have the wnatural advantage of knowing who wins Wink

Indeed - but I presume you would be betting before you raced it. in which case there'd be no reason to stop you betting. Pfft

Interesting idea, jph and best of luck with it. Will be having a bet certainly but will give this one a miss, just a totally unpredictable one.

Copenhagen-Malmo TTT

i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy344/DailyManGame2011/2012%20Routes/copenhagenmalmo.png

Formerly the Eindhoven TTT, this race now takes place going from Danish Copenhagen to Swedish Malmo. The format remains the same though – a mostly flat TTT that will be a true test of who has the greatest depth in time trialists. There is a single climb of about 1.4km that maxes out at 11%, but isn’t really that steep most of the way up.

Small odds for the big favourites, with the strange weather could Pendelton's benefit if a sudden change occurs? It's a brave man's gamble but could pay big. Will most people play it safe and go for the favourites though?
