Sponsor budget next year.
ShortsNL
Hey all,

I'm in my first ever carreer season as Vacansoleil-DCM, and I have a question about the sponsors and the budget I get for my riders. My contracts with Vacansoleil and DCM end in 2013, so I don't have to search for a new sponsor yet.

How does it work? Do I get the same budget next year, or does it increase if I get good results now? If so, when do I hear what the size of my budget will be?

I'm putting all kinds of nice riders on my shortlist already to improve my team, but there's no point if I can't pay them next year. I would love to hire Sylvain Chavanel for example, but with the same budget that just won't happen.

The budget will be the same. It won't change until you get a new sponsor.

Thanks. Is it possible to sign a new (better) contract with your existing sponsors when the current contract runs out?

kumazan
Nope, there's no way to renew your contract with your sponsor. You'll have to sign with a new one.

except of editing of DB, I guess

As beagle said, or one could use the test version of my season planner to edit it more easily.

But note that my planner does not work, when the sponsor quits your team (= when you have to search for new sponsor anyway)

ShortsNL
So, what determines the height of your budget when you find a new sponsor? Does your performance affect it at all? Or is there a set budget amount for each sponsor?

How do I go about when I want to get a bigger budget in-game later on?

Lachi
You can search for more then one sponsor. You have to negotiate the budget once you found one. Even if you found more then one sponsor, you can only sign one, meaning the last contract you are accepting, will be it.

ShortsNL
Thanks for the help, I'll make sure I negotiate a bigger budget when my sponsors leave!

How can you change next years budget? Is that possible in Lachis editor?

Lachi
If course you can. I am pretty sure that I already explained it in this forum. As I am to lazy to write it atm, you could try to use the forum search.

Another option would be to use the beta version of my season planner (which could also be found with the forum search, so do not even try to click the link in my signature)

brann
Well, i cant't find it in the forum search, and i know you are sick of telling other people what to do, but i am not so familiar with Lachis editor or Season planner, so i would really appreciate a little more detailed explination on what to do in the season planner to get more money in the budget.

he means do click the link in his signature, and theres a readme file attached to season planner ... if ppl dont even try to read, no wonder Lachi is sick explain same thing over and over, everyone would be.

Sponsor budget is in DYN_sponsor, value_i_budget

I said DO NOT CLICK... Also I was in a hurry and not sick of explaining.

@brann: This would be the beta version of my season planner, which allows you to fix the extend the budget of next year: https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=19400
Extract your career and take a look in the sponsor scenarios, you should find one to extend the budget.

I edited my database with Lachis Planner, everything worked well, but when I try to extend an expiring contract i'm just allowed to pay only 2000 a month, even my next season budget is much more than I already paid. Is there any solution for this problem?

Lachi
What exactly did you do in my planner? Does your sponsor retire at the end of the season? And finally, what did work well seeing that the future budget obviously is not working?

bigggassi
I'd sent you a PM where i explain it exactly. Hope you can help me.

ShortsNL
Hey again,

I decided to do some role playing and I want to have my sponsor give me a 10% budget increase for the next year, because of my results.

How can I do this properly using Lachi's editor? Does it only require me to change the value of value_i_sponsor_future and value_i_sponsor_future2 in DYN_team?

Lachi
Yes, but the value in that column is not the actual budget so you have to do some math.

Example, if you want to raise the yearly budget of your main sponsor by 100000, then add 100 to the value in the column value_i_sponsor_future.
Or just use the beta version of my season planner.

But as I maybe said for the hundreds time: This only works as long as you don't have to look for a new sponsor.
