Hello everyone, DJP and I have been thinking about the idea of starting a Fantasy Hockey league for a couple days now, after the success of the NFL league.
I will bring you the info on how to sign up later, as either I or DJP will be creating the league, but for now, I just want to get a sense of numbers, before we get too deep into this.
So for now, just leave a comment or vote in the poll if you'd be interested in joining the (potential) fantasy league, and we might be able to get a league up and running in a week or so.
For now, I'm thinking of doing Head-to-Head but Roto is also an option.

It would be great to know if it's like "Having a points score and with the score, you get players" or "Drafting players" etc. what you plan

I'm planning on doing a draft for players rather than just everybody having the same players, apart from a few weaker players here and there.
I personally think its more fun that way, and it will probably remain with the format unless there are a huge amount of comments requesting we use the other method.

I'd go for it.
But why not use something like https://hockey.fan...ahoo.com/? It's a lot less work for the organizers.

In Australia they have a football fantasy where you have 10 million dollars to spend on a team, with the best players more expensive and such. The prices increase each week depending on how well they score each week. |

Okay, the thing I dont like about roto, is it adds up all area's and somehow adds up who wins, but in head-to-head, all you need to know, is who scores the most points, and that player wins, which would also make the draft easier. And I personally would prefer H2H.

I'd definitely join. I'd pick roto but either is fine by me. Valverde is right about the draft though, having different players makes it more interesting.

The thing I like about H2H more, is I think it would keep the league more active, and competitive, as well even if you dont have the greatest team, you can still get satisfaction from beating one of your friends on a certain week.
Thats just how I see it, and probably why I will be going with H2H.

I would go H2H no question. Everyone gets bored with Roto once your to far from first place.

Ok we now have 4 teams, which isn't too bad!
I still dont have a draft date though. Does Tuesday work for most people? Also I can only do the draft at about 2 or 3 pm my time, so that would be something like 7,8, or 9 pm in Europe.

I can make it thursday then. It seems that once I make a date, I wont be able to change it though. (Which is why I haven't made one yet)
